HallenHey, Padawan! You must be the one Master Yuon mentioned, must be!If we weren't Jedi, I would say I could tell because you are as cute as described. But we are Jedi, so I will say nothing of the sort. Isn't Tython amazing? Scary too, don't get me wrong, but wow. I mean, look at this place! First week. Just found I was Force sensitive. How crazy is that? Sorry. Babbling.Master Yuon said to remind you that she says a Jedi needs to learn martial skills and said that I should say you should.Barsen'thorAnd who will train me in these martial skills?HallenGo see Master Wettle in the temple. Doesn't look like much, but he'll show you stuff you wouldn't believe. Good luck - may the Force be with you! |
Dialog transcript |
Master Syo BakarnAh, Padawan. I heard your shuttle arriving. I'm Master Syo Bakarn, of the Jedi Council. Welcome to Tython. This is the ancestral home of our order, where the Jedi first came to be. And where our most promising Padawans complete their training.Barsen'thorThe chance to see where the first Jedi walked, train where they trained - it's quite an honor.Master Syo BakarnSo eager. You and your new Master should get along nicely.Your instructors tell me that even in childhood, you had a remarkable connection to the Force, your understanding of Jedi lore and philosophy is unmatched. We haven't seen such power in decades, such a powerful mind could make you a great Jedi. They also speak of your visions, that you walked the galaxy to find our order. We are honored to have you.I was... hoping your new Master would be here. Yuon left her dig site and is returning to Tython specifically to train you.Barsen'thorIs Master Yuon an archaeologist?Master Syo BakarnIn a way. As you become her Padawan, never forget your initial training, nor the Jedi Code:"There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.""There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force." This is.... |
Dialog transcript |
Master Syo BakarnYuon. I was beginning to worry.Master Yuon ParSo you've arrived safely, my Padawan. I'm sorry I can't greet you properly, but we already have a crisis on our hands.Barsen'thorI'm at your service, Master.Master Yuon ParTython is a treasure trove of ancient Jedi relics. Recently, our researchers uncovered several "teaching holograms," but they've not been fully studied. These holograms may be records of the founders of the Jedi Order--they're absolutely irreplaceable. But, a large group of Flesh Raiders has begun rampaging through that region. Those priceless holograms are in danger.Barsen'thorI've never heard of Flesh Raiders before.Master Syo BakarnThe Flesh Raiders are Tython's natives. Savage cannibals who destroy everything in their path.Master Yuon ParIncluding the holograms' projectors. Combat teams are pushing the Flesh Raiders back, but retrieving the holograms is the first task of your training.Master Syo BakarnNo. Yuon, you can't risk a Padawan against Flesh Raiders, even for such important artifacts.Master Yuon ParA Padawan who's studied every combat treatise of the last two centuries, who wandered alone for years - before learning Jedi techniques. And who was stronger in the Force at four years old, than I was at fifteen?Gifted students need greater challenges.Barsen'thorSo I must recover these holograms, and watch for Flesh Raiders. Where should I begin?Master Yuon ParThe holograms are in the Gnarls. Be vigilant; that region has dangers of its own. If you encounter any difficulties, contact me on this holocommunicator. When you have the holograms, meet me at the Jedi Temple. We have much to discuss. |
Dialog transcript |
Barsen'thorMaster Yuon, I've encountered a problem. One of the holoprojectors has been stolen.Master ParStolen? But the Flesh Raiders don't steal, they destroy.I'll look into this. If you have the other holograms, come and meet me at the Jedi Temple. I'm sending you directions now.And please, Padawan, be careful. |
Dialog transcript |
Master ParThere isn't. It's out of my hands, Qyzen.Qyzen Fess"Out of hands. Can do nothing." From you, is strange to hear.Master ParI haven't- Padawan. Come in. This is Qyzen Fess, an old friend. He's here on a hunting expedition, a sacred Trandoshan tradition.Barsen'thorIt's an honor to meet you.Qyzen FessIs welcome, small hunter. But have scouting, before light changes. Scorekeeper watch over. |

RelnexPadawans, come here quickly. The training grounds are not safe today.Hero of TythonI got a basic briefing from Knight Weller, but I'd like a full report before going in. I'm combat trained and ready to help.Barsen'thorTell us what's going on, we may be able to assist.RelnexYou're Master Yuon's Padawan, yes? Then you both have got combat training... okay, maybe you can help. The Flesh Raiders moved into the training grounds organized and ready, attempting to isolate various groups of Padawans. They are a savage people who occasionally raid the local settlements and devour those they kidnap. Before today, we thought they didn't understand technology, but they're packing blasters and vibroblades and turning them on Padawans who aren't trained to defend themselves. There's a group of students in the hills we lost track of. They're not combat trained.Hero of TythonDon't worry, those Padawans will get home safe. I promise.Barsen'thorJust let us know what's required. We are here to help.RelnexI've got a beacon here. If you can find the Padawans and set the beacon, we'll send an evac shuttle fast as we can. A group of Jedi from the temple is headed this way but maybe not fast enough. May the Force be with you. |

AvitlaHow's he looking?MennausHe should be resting in the Jedi Temple. But if you're determined to press on... I can help him along.JerridanThank you, my friend.AvitlaGive him the last of the kolto if you have to. We'll fight again soon.Hey! Good to see another Padawan alive out here. You're lucky those creatures haven't caught you yet.Jedi DuoWe have been searching for you. What happened out here?JerridanKnew it. Knew they'd send rescuers...MennausWe came seeking knowledge of the Jedi Code. The Flesh Raiders interrupted our trial.AvitlaWe tried to run. Eventually we ran right into one. Turns out we surprised it.I've never fought like that in my life. We killed it, but Jerridan was badly injured.Jedi DuoYour friend - how serious is the wound?MennausIt pains him greatly. He should not be moving. It is not the Jedi way to seek battle and revenge while a man suffers.AvitlaThat's your opinion, Mennaus. It's not what we decided. Training or not, a bunch of animals won't keep us from becoming Jedi. We're going to fight them until all three of us are finished with our trials.Jedi DuoListen to yourself - all this rage... this isn't how Jedi behave. You can finish your trial another time.AvitlaLook what they did to Jerridan. We can't give up now.JerridanIsn't she right? Jedi don't give up... do they?MennausShe is wrong. Remember the Jedi Code: "There is no passion, there is serenity...."AvitlaThat's enough, Mennaus!Jedi DuoYou're walking a dangerous path. You and your friends need to get back to camp while you still can.AvitlaWe can't do that. We can't just give up!MennausAvitla, listen, this is our best opportunity to survive this.AvitlaBut we're so close to finishing the trial...MennausNo. We are not. I see you have a signal beacon. Leave it for us, and as soon as we have gathered our things, we will signal for a ride back. |
Dialog transcript |
Master RelnexThe beacon worked and a rescue speeder is on its way. You really came through for those Padawans.Jedi DuoOne of them was injured - you need to send a medic with the rescue team.Master RelnexStandard procedure. They're in good hands.Jedi DuoAnd there were Flesh Raiders at every turn - we are sure many of them are still out there.Master RelnexDon't worry, we've got experienced Jedi on the way.You probably want to get back to your trials. Again, thank you and may the Force be with you. |
Dialog transcript |
Master ParSome people, even some Jedi, disapprove of my friendship with Qyzen. I wanted you to meet, before rumors prejudiced you.First, thank you for saving the holograms. The Jedi have lost enough lately without losing our history, too.Barsen'thorI was glad to help, Master.Master ParI've identified the holoprojector that was stolen. It contained a hologram of... Master Rajivari.Rajivari was another of the Jedi founders. He... turned to the dark side. He betrayed the very order he helped to create.Barsen'thorWhat exactly did Rajivari do?Master ParDetails of his life are maddeningly sparse.Barsen'thorWhy would the founders keep Rajivari's image among them, after what he did?Master ParExcellent question. To honor his previous contributions? Or a gesture of healing? Hmm. Rajivari was immensely powerful. That stolen hologram could hold his darkest secrets. The thief is likely from Kalikori village. Local Twi'lek Pilgrims, here illegally; many of them are poor, or hungry.Barsen'thorYou said Kalikori village isn't a legal settlement. I didn't think Tython had such laws. And why are these Twi'leks here?Master ParReligious persecution drove them from their homeworld. The Republic couldn't give the Twi'leks permission to colonize Tython - too dangerous - but they came regardless - and found sanctuary here.I'd like you to go to Kalikori village, discover who took the holoprojector, and retrieve it. But, tread lightly. We're forbidden to fully defend them, even when the Flesh Raiders attack. Relations are... strained.Barsen'thorWe're Jedi. Aren't we obligated to help those in need?Master ParThis is the Jedi Council's judgment. I might disagree, but the decision is made. When you reach Kalikori village, find Bashenn, captain of the village guard. He knows everyone, he may have seen the holoprojector.I think meeting these Pilgrims will be a good lesson for you, Padawan. Go carefully. |
Dialog transcript |
BashennBreak out another cask. Or three. The festival only comes once a year; our stores can take it.VanelJust as well. We have an uninvited guest.BashennI see. Festival of Awakening, Jedi. You're not welcome here.Barsen'thorI apologize for interrupting. Master Yuon Par asks if you've seen a Jedi holoprojector.VanelHuh. If Yuon Par's asking, guess we could try and remember.Barsen'thorSomeone took a Jedi relic from the Gnarls, a holoprojector. I was hoping you might have seen it. Its information could be harmful.BashennA holoprojector. Yeah, I know what you mean. Nalen found one - Nalen Raloch. Maybe you've heard of him.Barsen'thorI haven't, but it sounds like he has a reputation.BashennNalen Raloch. Our dueling champion for nine years straight. He once rescued an entire scouting party from Flesh Raiders, single-handed.He planned our defenses. Protects us when we go foraging. Without him, we wouldn't even be having the festival. And no, I'm not telling you where he is. Nalen earns his peace and quiet.Barsen'thorThat hologram's data isn't safe; Nalen should be warned. Or do you want to risk something happening to him?BashennNalen can take care of himself.VanelAgainst Flesh Raiders, sure. But some of that Jedi tech is weird.Barsen'thorIf you help me find that holoprojector, the Jedi Council will hear of it. And we're generous to our friends.BashennYou expect us to believe that?AlliaBashenn, if the Jedi offer you a favor, you say "yes"!BashennOkay, fine. Nalen went into the Flesh Raiders' territory. He's probably still there; he's been gone a while.Barsen'thorI thought this was a special day. Shouldn't he be here celebrating?BashennLook, you got what you came for, Jedi. Just leave.AlliaNalen just... likes to be alone these days. And festivals aren't really his thing.VanelThough last year, he did the Waker's Dance with the rest of us.BashennI think Nalen's got a camp out there. If you see him, tell him to be back for the feast. |
Dialog transcript |
Nalen RalochYou make a lot of noise. I come for a Flesh Raider, I find a Jedi Padawan. I come to listen. To think, among the dead. To fight for my people. Why have you come?Barsen'thorMy Master sent me, to bring Rajivari's holoprojector back to the temple. The villagers said you'd taken this holoprojector, and told me where to find you.Nalen RalochI'm called Nalen Raloch. The others in the village spin tales of their "legendary protector." They don't understand. Are the Flesh Raiders destroyed? No. My people aren't safe until my learning's complete.Tython's relics still have lessons. I listen. I can... do things I never imagined possible. I will be the defender my people deserve.Barsen'thorPerhaps your studies are making you into something else.Nalen RalochJedi condemn what they can't control.Barsen'thorOnce you become this great defender, what's the next step?Nalen RalochWe make Tython ours. No Jedi. No Republic. Our world to plow, and harvest, and defend. We hunt the Flesh Raiders to extinction, and laugh.Barsen'thorHelp Kalikori village if you wish, but Rajivari's holoprojector wasn't yours to take.Nalen RalochTython is our home, too. We'll use whatever we find to defend ourselves; you Jedi don't have a say. But you're not a concern. Only the Flesh Raiders matter. Rajivari's hologram showed me how to punish them. The Flesh Raiders will come. But not leave. A merciful death, compared to what my people have suffered.Barsen'thorWhat crimes have I committed that deserve being buried alive?Nalen RalochThere are hidden wonders, Jedi, and my journey has just begun. Now run. Or die. |
Dialog transcript |
Master ParPadawan, I just spoke to Ranna Tao'Ven, the daughter of Kalikori village's matriarch, concerning your visit there.I want you to meditate on what you learned. Such experiences are what shape us as Jedi.Barsen'thorI found the holoprojector, as you asked.Master ParWe should check that Rajivari's hologram is safe.Barsen'thorThe holoprojector was stolen by a Twi'lek, Nalen Raloch. He'd learned Force techniques from Rajivari's hologram - he was obviously unstable.Master ParA villager? Very unusual. Then this Nalen is Force sensitive.... Let's see what he saw.Rajivari (Hologram)Activation protocol begins. A few words - shall this be all my legacy? No. My enemies are long dead. It is time.Hear me. I have left true wisdom behind. For those who follow where the first blade points, from the sanctuary of the order. All else is fleeting....Master ParMy word. "True wisdom." Padawan, he... he's talking about the Fount of Rajivari.Barsen'thorMaster, you seem shaken. What is this "Fount of Rajivari"?Master ParI- I'm fine. This is just... hard to believe. After Rajivari fell, sources claimed he created a great archive of his knowledge and teachings. The Fount of Rajivari.Generations of Jedi searched for it, finding nothing. The Fount's considered a hoax by all reputable scholars, but... we just heard proof.Barsen'thorIt said to follow where the first blade points, from the sanctuary of the order. What sanctuary? And... Nalen Raloch saw this hologram, Master. More of Rajivari's knowledge could make him incredibly dangerous.Master ParThe hologram said, follow where the first blade points, from the sanctuary of the order... Kaleth! The ruins at Kaleth- the name means "sanctum." It's the remains of an ancient fortress. Evidence suggests Kaleth was destroyed in a great battle; old droids still walk those ruins today. But this "first blade" is a puzzle.Barsen'thorI can only think of one blade a Jedi would wield.Master ParGood deduction, but lightsabers had yet to be invented. We have found several old weapons in one section of Kaleth... nothing like a "first blade," but a good place to begin.Ha. I planned your training so carefully. But the Force has intervened. Finding the Fount of Rajivari and stopping Nalen, must be... a greater test.Barsen'thorAre you saying the Force is guiding me? And even if the Force is shaping my training, I want your help, Master Yuon.Master ParSometimes the Force, not the Master, shapes a Padawan's trials. This seems to be such a time. And... I... thank you.You should know, Padawan. The Council tends to disapprove of such "training," but I'll explain everything to them. For now, focus on exploring Kaleth for this "first blade." Call me on your holocommunicator at once if you have any success. |
Dialog transcript |
Tazonthe GhonYou're too late, Jedi - like all the other times. The Flesh Raiders already came. They already took their victims.Jedi DuoWhere did this happen? How long ago?Tazonthe GhonOur patrol was attacked. Just yesterday, in the valleys... by the same savages who always attack. We can hardly leave the village without running into Flesh Raiders. There's not a scout in Kalikori without a blaster burn or two - and now my father's out there.Jedi DuoWhat do you mean? Was he with your patrol?Tazonthe GhonI don't know. It hasn't been long. If the fates have been kind - very kind....My father knew these mountains. He helped guide the patrols when he could. But when the Flesh Raiders appeared... he never made it home. He wasn't young, but he deserves better than to be ripped apart. Show compassion, Jedi - find him, and kill any Raiders who'd stop you.Jedi DuoWe will do everything I can to find your father.Tazonthe GhonIf you find him - if he's hurt or confused - you'll know him by his golden promise ring. He wouldn't part with it... not until death. |
Dialog transcript |
Tazonthe GhonJedi. You're back. What happened out there? Where's my father?Jedi DuoHe's at peace, now. I brought you his ring.Tazonthe GhonWhat? No.... Those monsters! Tell me you cut them into pieces for what they did.Jedi DuoI went out there to save a man's life - not to satisfy your thirst for blood.Tazonthe GhonSo you let those monsters live? I should be grateful to you for finding out the truth. But you desecrate my father's memory.Jedi DuoJedi fight for peace, not to kill.Tazonthe GhonSo far as I can see, Jedi fight for nothing.Jedi DuoMourn your father and move on, before anger consumes you.Tazonthe GhonI don't need your counsel, Jedi. This isn't what I was hoping for either. Leave me to grieve. We won't speak again. |

Yuleph PhanMore young Jedi in Kalikori, I see. I am Yuleph Phan, master of rituals. I welcome you. You wish to participate in the ceremony, I presume? You understand the dangers?Jedi DuoSorry, we don't know what you're talking about.Yuleph PhanYou've not been told, then. I apologize. Good. Together, we'll bridge the gap between Pilgrim and Jedi. Many of your brethren - your "Padawans" - come to Kalikori to perform our rite of passage. Those who endure the ceremony are awarded an audience with Kolovish to receive her wisdom and her gifts.Jedi DuoWho's Kolovish? What's the ceremony all about?Yuleph PhanKolovish lives in the mountains above. Once our leader, now she is our guide and protector. To complete the ceremony, you must walk the thousand steps to her home. You must carry a burning brand and light the signals along the path. You must protect the flame from beasts and Flesh Raiders. This will prove your worth.Jedi DuoWe're grateful for the chance to learn your ways.Yuleph PhanYou'll undergo hardship in the name of our people. Carry our light to Kolovish, or be lost in darkness. If you wish, I will ignite the brand. It burns only a short while, but--if you are deserving - it will be enough.Jedi DuoWe're ready to carry the flame.Yuleph PhanThen go, and light each of the signal fires along the mountain path. When you reach the end, you will find Kolovish. |
Dialog transcript |
KolovishYou perform the rite of the Pilgrims well, Jedi; I saw the signal fires as you climbed the path. Very few of your kind make it this far.I am Kolovish, first Matriarch and reader of the ancient texts. I led our people to this planet - and I welcome you.My teachings angered our rulers. They spurned our lifestyle and refused to recognize the authority of the Matriarchs. On Tython, we found we could practice our ways in peace. Even the Flesh Raiders can't destroy our society - not forever.Jedi DuoIt's a privilege to meet you, Matriarch.KolovishAnd it is my privilege to meet a Jedi who accepts our ways.Even our own kind - the other Twi'leks - they mocked us and denied the authority of the Matriarchs. That is why we came here. Now you've completed the ritual, and you are friend to the Pilgrims. You share our burdens and you share our strength.Hero of TythonMy duty is to the Jedi Order, not the Pilgrims.KolovishAnd yet we welcome you despite this.Barsen'thorJedi are kin to all people - no more and no less to the Pilgrims.KolovishPerhaps that is why we can share this world.Take these gifts. We have very little, as you must know--but you are Jedi. You share our world, and you face a difficult future. It is the way of Jedi to face darkness. I believe you will face the darkness of our world - and perhaps beyond.Remember us, and remember our ways. Go to your duties, now... and as we part, know that my blessings go with you. |

Ancient DroidShow respect. You stand before greatness. The first blade. I guard. It rests with the ashes of its maker. The Weapon Master.Barsen'thorI don't know the title. Who was he?Ancient DroidHe saw Jedi as warriors. Not only philosophers. Armed them. Protected them.Barsen'thorI must take the first blade. The Jedi have need of it again.Ancient DroidThe first blade. First Jedi weapon. From this beginning, lightsabers came. Millennia pass. Only hilt of first blade remains. Only disturbed once."Rajivari" came. He proved worthy. Permitted to take the hilt. Later, returned it.Barsen'thorPerhaps I could do as Rajivari did.Ancient DroidTo take the hilt, prove worthy. The philosophy of Jedi combat. Show understanding. The Weapon Master left challenges. Here, in Kaleth. Training droids. To test his students.Find them. Prevail. The hilt of the first blade waits. |
Dialog transcript |
Ancient DroidTelemetry is received. All droids report your battle performance. Satisfactory.Barsen'thorIn that case, I wish to take the hilt of the first blade from here.Ancient DroidTake the hilt. Treat with respect. Fight with honor. |
Dialog transcript |
Barsen'thorMaster Yuon, I've found the hilt of the first blade. A proto-lightsaber from someone called the "Weapon Master." The hilt looks as if there's data engraved on it.Master ParOf course. "The first blade points the way"--Rajivari made the legendary weapon itself our guide. The Force is certainly with you, Padawan. Please, bring the hilt back to the temple at once. I will look into a way to access that data. |
Dialog transcript |
Master Syo BakarnHello again, Padawan. I'm glad to see you well. Master Syo Bakarn. I was there to greet you when you first arrived.Barsen'thorBeing greeted by a member of the Council is hard to forget, Master Syo.Master Jaric KaedanInteresting. Protocol was never a big focus of Yuon's curriculum.Barsen'thorDo you need me for something, Master Syo?Master Syo BakarnThis is Master Jaric Kaedan, another of the Jedi Council. Yuon told us about Nalen Raloch, the Pilgrim seeking Rajivari's secrets. She also claimed the Force is "guiding" your training. This isn't unknown, but....Barsen'thorSo the Force influencing a Padawan's training is quite rare.Master Jaric KaedanYuon seems convinced. But trusting blindly in the Force isn't the Jedi way. Good judgment and discipline must temper that trust. She thinks encountering Nalen, and finding a few relics, proves you're meant to find this Fount of Rajivari. It's baseless.First she welcomes that Trandoshan into the temple, now this? She's getting more unorthodox by the day.Master Syo BakarnWhat do you make of Yuon's claim, Padawan?Barsen'thorI trust in Master Yuon's wisdom. She is my teacher. It isn't my place to question her.Master Jaric KaedanIndeed not. That's the Council's responsibility.Master Syo BakarnThe Council has agreed to accept Yuon's opinion. For now. But I am concerned about the dangers this path is leading you through. Finding the Fount of Rajivari before Nalen Raloch does is important. But so is your safety, Padawan. Be mindful. Go carefully, Padawan. Yuon is placing a lot of faith in you. |
Dialog transcript |
FiaMaster Orgus's new apprentice - wow. Everyone says you're great with a vibroblade. And you're Master Yuon's apprentice, right? I've heard how strong you are in the Force.I'm Fia- er, Padawan Fia. Still have to get used to having a title. I've just started learning about the Force. I've got a long way to go before I'm as good as you.Jedi DuoYou seem a little old to begin the training.FiaUntil a few days ago, I didn't even know I could use the Force.Hero of TythonConcentrate on your training and you'll do fine.FiaHard to concentrate when you're always pinching yourself to check if this is a dream.Barsen'thorStay open to possibilities, Padawan. You might surprise yourself.FiaI've certainly had plenty of surprises lately. I thought Jedi were supposed to be humble. Or maybe that's only for beginners like me. I still can't believe I'm here. Just last week, I was crewing a garbage scow on Raxus Prime. Then this scary-looking Jedi shows up out of nowhere and says that he can sense the Force in me. What are the odds?Jedi DuoJedi aren't normally known for their intimidating appearance.FiaI'd never seen anything like him before- er, not that I have a problem with aliens. He's Kel Dor. As aliens go, they're pretty fierce-looking. I thought he was going to eat me, at first.Am I babbling? I am. Sorry, I do silly things when I get nervous. Say, do you know Master Till'in? He's the one who discovered me. I'm trying to get a message to him. He's at the ruins of Kaleth, but the instructors won't let me leave the temple to go see him. They say it's too dangerous.Jedi DuoWhy do you need to see him so badly?FiaUh, well, it's complicated. I never really thanked him for bringing me to Tython. I don't mean to bother you. I just want him to know I appreciate everything he's done for me.Master Till'in is studying a big mystery in Kaleth's ruins. Something about ancient droids attacking people? If you're headed to the ruins, would you give him this holorecording from me? I'd be so grateful.Jedi DuoAllow us to do it.FiaTerrific! I can see why everybody here is so impressed with both of you. Here's the holorecording. Master Till'in has a small camp outside the ruins of Kaleth. Thanks for doing this. |
Dialog transcript |
Master Till'inWelcome, Padawan to Orgus Din. Your Master speaks highly of your potential. Ah, and Master Yuon's new Padawan. A great Jedi-in-the-making, by all accounts. Greetings.Jedi DuoSomeone asked me to deliver a message.Master Till'inLet's see what you've brought me... ah yes. Fia. The poor girl is still apologizing for shooting at me on Raxus Prime. I forget how violently some humans react when first meeting my species. I don't understand why they always seem to shoot before thinking. Luckily, Fia's aim was unbalanced by her fear.It was kind of you to deliver this holorecording, though I should gently instruct Padawan Fia to stop interrupting my work. Speaking of which.... |
Dialog transcript |
Master Till'inHere, examine this droid's cognitive unit I recovered from the ruins. Twenty-thousand years old, yet still functional. Our forebears built things to last.Jedi DuoWhat happened to the rest of the droid's parts?Master Till'inA shame the cognitive unit's owner had to be destroyed. It was a magnificent machine, but quite hostile. I was forced to dismantle it with my lightsaber. The ruins of Lower Kaleth are filled with droids constructed during Tython's original colonization by the galaxy's first Force users. We don't know the Tythonian droids' purpose - only that they attack anyone who enters the ruins. My mission is to learn why.Jedi DuoWhat kind of damage can these droids do to people?Master Till'inWe've had several serious injuries. Left unchecked, the droids are going to kill someone. We can't let it come to that. It's been millennia since the Tythonian droids were memory-wiped. Their programming lies buried amid trillions of accumulated databits.I've constructed a scanner to analyze the droids' cognitive units for command protocols, but I need several samplings to sort through the static.Jedi DuoWe'll get those samplings for you in no time, Master Till'in.Master Till'inGood. This will greatly accelerate my efforts to solve this mystery and make the ruins safe. Your Masters have great confidence in your abilities, as do I. This task won't be simple, but I know you'll succeed. |
Dialog transcript |
Master Till'inMy scanner's memory is already full? Perfect timing. I'll collate your data with my own readings and analyze them together. Hmm... it seems the droids were indeed built for war. Twenty thousand years later, they still pursue their primary function. How sad. These ancient droids were soldiers in Tython's great Force Wars - a time before there were Jedi, Sith or even a Republic.Jedi DuoWe have never heard of these "Force Wars."Master Till'inIt was the first conflict between Force users - a horrific battle between light and darkness that lasted for a hundred years. According to the droid logs, Kaleth was a stronghold of the dark side's forces. They made their last stand here. As they died, the dark siders activated the droids as a doomsday weapon - hoping to ensure the light side's destruction as well.Jedi DuoFor doomsday droids, they sure fall apart easy.Master Till'inI doubt either of us will hold up nearly as well after twenty thousand years. These machines were quite menacing for their epoch.Jedi DuoClearly, the light side survived these doomsday weapons.Master Till'inIndeed - and went on to found our Jedi Order. To think what might have been, if the dark siders' plans had succeeded....The Council must deliberate and decide what should be done about the droids. It isn't up to us. By your efforts, we see Kaleth in a fresh light. I will commend you to the Council. Continue with your tasks. Make your Masters proud.Give Masters Orgus and Yuon my best wishes. |
Dialog transcript |
Master ParRajivari's hologram proves the same technique existed. Don't you see? It'll resolve that silly debate, once and for all.Qyzen Fess Yuon, is soft thing. Old, soft thing. Do not overexcite for this.Master ParOverexcite. I'm not quite ready to- ah, Padawan! Much longer and we'd have come looking for you. I thought you might have crossed paths with Nalen Raloch again.Barsen'thorMaster Syo and Master Jaric met me outside. They wanted to discuss what you said, about me and the Force.Master ParWhy are they distracting you? Your task is too important.Barsen'thorHow goes your hunting?Qyzen Fess Scorekeeper showed favor. And smiled on you also? So Yuon said.Master ParYou said you found the first blade. Or its hilt, at least. Is it... may I see it? Ah. The folds in the metal. The power cell chamber... these are lost techniques. Our lightsabers began here, with this.Barsen'thorI believe these etch marks are encoded information, Master Yuon.Master ParAnd the interior's been modified too, perhaps to hold more.Qyzen Fess Please, no encouraging. Already Yuon talks and talks of old things.Master ParI deciphered a second clue from Rajivari's hologram. To find the Fount of Rajivari, this hilt must be taken to a cave in the Tythonian mountains. The hologram says the founders meditated in that cave. Debated. They became the Jedi Council.Barsen'thorWhat should I do with the hilt when I arrive?Master ParThe hologram didn't say. Keep your eyes open.Qyzen Fess This cave I know. Is Flesh Raider cave now - good hunting. I would accompany. I go ahead, make a good beginning before search for old things. Shall meet you, small hunter.Master ParI apologize, Padawan. Qyzen's devotion to the hunt is quite... single-minded.Barsen'thorI don't mind. I welcome his help. He seems to be a gifted hunter already.Master ParHunting is part of Trandoshan religion and culture. Honing his skills is important. Good luck, and be careful. The hologram said nothing of what might be waiting in those caves. |

Qyzen FessFlesh Raiders are dead? Hmm. Strong, healthy - worth many Jagganath points. But, hunted many Flesh Raiders coming here. So, shall allow you these points, small hunter. This time.Barsen'thorSorry, I don't understand what you mean by "Jagganath points."Qyzen FessFor us, hunt is life. To make honorable kills, earn "Jagganath points." All tallied by Scorekeeper. Scorekeeper. She sees all. Greater score, more points - is greater standing in Scorekeeper's eyes. Greater glory.Barsen'thorSo hunting is how you serve your goddess, this "Scorekeeper," and increase your status.Qyzen FessYes. Is not many Jedi who understand.Barsen'thorHow many of these Jagganath points do you have?Qyzen FessMany. Score is no meaning to outsiders. Enough talk; have Fount of Rajivari to find. This carving. Is any signs?Barsen'thorIt's badly eroded. I can't see anything that might help us.Qyzen FessSmell something... strange. Bones, there. All old. And all in pile. Is deliberate, but... not Flesh Raider way.Barsen'thorI should examine them. Maybe piling up the oldest bones is somehow significant to the Flesh Raiders.Qyzen FessIf you say. But have seen nowhere else. Go soft, small hunter. Smell Flesh Raider... and smell not-Flesh Raider, too. |
Dialog transcript |
AlliaThanks for coming so fast, Jedi. That Flesh Raider stench was making us dizzy.Barsen'thorThere's Flesh Raiders all over these caves. Didn't they see you?AlliaNalen cut a path for us. Hid his scent, then took those things down in a flash.Barsen'thorI was hoping to see Nalen again. We have things to discuss.AlliaNalen said to wait for you. You've got something he needs. He has to find this "Fount of Rajivari," to keep defending our village. I'm sorry - you were straight with us. But I have to take whatever "first blade" you found in Kaleth. Nalen needs it.Barsen'thorNalen only cares about the Fount of Rajivari. Sending you here risked your lives when he supposedly wants to save you.AlliaYou don't get it. We're all... we're scared. Nalen hardly comes into the village now. Barely eats, or sleeps. And when you talk to him, his eyes are so strange.Barsen'thorI should speak to Nalen myself. Where can I find him?AlliaNo one knows. He mentioned exploring Kaleth, but that was hours ago, he'll be long gone.Barsen'thorTake the others back to the village where you belong. Leave Nalen to me.AlliaSomething terrible's happening, isn't it? Keep your artifact, whatever it is. Keep it away from Nalen. Jedi. Please, don't hurt him. Whatever Nalen's become, he did this for us.Barsen'thorLet me make a donation to Kalikori village's funds.AlliaThat's right - you took that holoprojector back, didn't you? That could have bought us a lot of medicine. I thought you were a thug in a Jedi robe. But this... it's fair barter. Nalen's been saying a lot of things about the Jedi. But maybe he didn't have everything straight. We should... get these back to the village. That blade will have to wait. Thanks, Jedi. I guess you're alright. |

Rajvari (hologram)Here in this cave, we founders discussed our vision for the Jedi Order. And I, Rajivari, listened. I listened, as they carefully crippled our newborn order. As they argued for mediocrity. It shall not stand. I have laid my plans. With my army made from Tython's true dark sons, I will purge this council of fools while they chatter.Barsen'thorWait, what does he mean by "Tython's true dark sons"?Qyzen FessAttention, small hunter. Is more.Rajvari (hologram)Only my apprentices and I will survive. From Kaleth, we will mold the Jedi into what we deserve to be. If the hilt of the first blade has been returned, we succeeded, and the future follows the path we left. Follow, seeker. Follow the path to the Fount of Rajivari. It is time.Qyzen FessIs strange map. Have never seen like. If path is there, I cannot see.Barsen'thorLet's take this back to the Jedi Temple. Master Yuon can help us interpret it.Qyzen FessI go ahead; shall meet you in Yuon's rooms, small hunter. And here. First blade's hilt, do not forget. Would hate you to suffer Yuon's wrath. |
Dialog transcript |
Barsen'thorMaster Yuon, I believe I have the coordinates for the Fount of Rajivari.Master ParQyzen mentioned as much - Padawan, I just received a very disturbing message. For you, from Nalen Raloch.Nalen Raloch (holo)Survival. Mine, my village's, and yours, Jedi. Interesting to think about. You fooled my people. It doesn't matter. There's other routes to the Fount of Rajivari. Interfere, and I'll kill you.Master ParNalen has truly fallen, then. And he wants you dead. You must be vigilant.Barsen'thorThere must be a way to save Nalen, Master, or reason with him.Master ParHe may not give you the chance. You cannot risk yourself!Qyzen FessYuon. Is alright.Master ParWe still have the Fount of Rajivari to find. Let me see those coordinates, Padawan; perhaps I can get us started.Barsen'thorI've studied similar depictions. And that coordinate matches ancient mappings of the eastern Tythos Ridge....Master ParWhich fits with the first coordinate perfectly. Well done. But that leaves... this coordinate. We can't triangulate the Fount of Rajivari without it. Perhaps it's a rock formation....Qyzen FessHmm. Have seen like formations on hunts. Could scout waterfall caves, try to find.Barsen'thorThat coordinate will give us the Fount of Rajivari. If you think you can find it, please hurry. |
Dialog transcript |
The Padawans decided to go through the Tythos Ridge together. |

Master GehnsoThe Force is strong with you, but don't think you're invincible. Like you, my Padawan showed great talent. She was strong-willed, thoughtful... such potential. She would've served the order well, but the Flesh Raiders extinguished her life. I sensed her final moments - terror, agony... then nothing.Barsen'thorSomething stronger than hunger must be forcing the Flesh Raiders' hand.Master GehnsoI wish I knew, but I believe we're close to an answer. If we understand the Flesh Raiders' culture, what motivates their violence, we may yet forge peace. Unfortunately our emissaries are met with aggression. The latest team fled, but not before witnessing strange idols in the Flesh Raiders' camp. Do these idols fuel the creatures' rage? What do the Flesh Raiders gain from their worship? To know, someone truly brave must examine the idols.Barsen'thorThe Flesh Raiders' motivations will soon be known to the Jedi.Master GehnsoI would shield you from the Flesh Raiders, but this task is too vital. Every insight into Flesh Raider society brings us closer to quieting their hunger. But we need aid. Inspect the idols and record your findings. Stare into the face of what they value most, and ignore no detail, however trivial. Once you're done, give the data to myself or Master Wix, my ally in this cause. He's attending to the Pilgrims in Kalikori village. |
Dialog transcript |
Barsen'thorI examined the Flesh Raiders' idols. Here are my findings.Master GehnsoInteresting. According to these markings... it's like the Flesh Raiders see us as animals. I'll inform Master Wix and the Council at once. With more research, we may finally understand the creatures' motivations and restore peace to Tython. Thank you, Padawan. I sense a great future for you in the order. My Padawan would thank you if she could. Instead, you have my gratitude. |
Dialog transcript |
Master ParPadawan, look. In the map's code - there's something else hidden here. A warning?"The Fount of Rajivari has mechanisms for intruders. Only those who know Rajivari's path will walk through unscathed, to gain his wisdom."Barsen'thorRajivari's philosophies are somehow the way past these mechanisms - likely traps.Master ParRajivari was ruthless, Padawan, those traps will be fatal if you go unprepared. We know Kaleth was Rajivari's stronghold. And excavators have uncovered ancient computer terminals in Upper Kaleth. Those terminals might hold answers, if they weren't all locked with passwords.Barsen'thorThe hilt of the first blade accessed the coordinates to the Fount of Rajivari. It could unlock these terminals, too.Master ParOf course! Those engravings... some of them resemble security algorithms.Go to Upper Kaleth, and investigate those terminals for any clue. I'll wait here for Qyzen. We're close, Padawan; I know it! |
Dialog transcript |
Barsen'thorMaster Yuon? I have the clues we need. The terminals held the last words of Rajivari's apprentices. I think I recovered enough of Rajivari's philosophy to help me.Master ParSo the Jedi besieged Kaleth, after Rajivari tried to kill the Council. And his apprentices held the line, all by themselves. Remarkable.Barsen'thorRajivari's apprentices knew there was no hope, but they defended their beliefs to the last.Master ParYes. With a different master, they could have been great Jedi.Hopefully the principles you've recovered will help you pass into the Fount of Rajivari safely. And once Qyzen brings us the last coordinate... |
Dialog transcript |
FlingeldOh! You startled me. I didn't see you approach. My Master says there are valuable materials behind that boulder over there. But get this - the blasted thing can't be moved. My instructions were to go to a platform in the ruins. "Meditate, and let the Force empower me." But I've meditated 'til I can't see straight - and nothing.Jedi duoYou admit defeat? You're just going to give up?FlingeldWhat else am I supposed to do?So, I'm gonna get drummed out of the order because I can't move a rock that can't be moved? It's absurd. Hey, what if - maybe you could help me. Are you good at this meditation thing?Jedi duoLet's find out.FlingeldOh, thank you! You're a lifesaver. So, just kneel at the altar nearby. Supposedly, if you find deep inner peace, you'll be able to move the boulder. If you fail, I can tell my Master it wasn't just me who couldn't move it. |
Dialog transcript |
FlingeldYou did it! I can't decide if I'm ashamed that I couldn't do it or happy that my mission is complete. There was supposed to be something important behind the boulder!Master QuilljaykI'm very disappointed, Flingeld.FlingeldMaster Quilljayk, why are you here?Master QuilljaykThe valuable materials beyond that boulder were enlightenment and perseverance - and you failed to acquire them. You've become unbalanced by doubt and self-recrimination. By enlisting another's aid to complete this trial, you have confirmed deep-rooted weakness.I'm afraid your training must come to an end. You will not become a Jedi.FlingeldBut Master, it's not my fault. I didn't ask for help. I- I tried to decline!Jedi DuoThat is simply not true, Master Quilljayk.Master QuilljaykI sense the calm in you, young ones. It speaks to your veracity.I know how important becoming a Jedi was to you and your family, Flingeld. Unfortunately, I have no choice. You will be stationed in the archives here and serve the order in a clerical capacity. It is decided.FlingeldYou- it's all your fault. You ruined my chances.Master QuilljaykFlingeld was never expected to move that boulder. Communing with the Force is something only a Master typically has the clarity to achieve.Jedi DuoSo, you were testing his determination and resolve.Master QuilljaykYes. And his inner fortitude proved inflexible, so he crumbled. Flingeld's task was to learn to persevere despite futility. When one's self-image depends on success, shortcuts are taken. It's imperative that we screen out Padawans unable to assume the great responsibility of the Jedi. You've done the order an important service.Jedi DuoWe did nothing noteworthy. Just what was called for.Master QuilljaykHumility is the benchmark of the Jedi. Flingeld? You may return to the temple when you are ready.FlingeldYes. Yes, Master.Master QuilljaykYou have our thanks. Now may the Force be with you. |
Dialog transcript |
Master ParWait. Where is Qyzen? It's been... how long was I working?Barsen'thorI could go and find Qyzen, just to make sure he's alright.Master ParHe mentioned the waterfall caves. Didn't he? If Qyzen has the last coordinate, you can triangulate the Fount of Rajivari. There's no time to waste, Padawan. Go. And may the Force be with you both. |
Dialog transcript |
Qyzen FessSmall hunter. Should not have come. Is only shame here, and death.Nalen Raloch. He tracked and... captured. Used pain. Demanded answers of your old thing, your Fount of Rajivari.Barsen'thorDid Nalen hurt you? I can try to treat your injuries.Qyzen FessPain. What matter now? Was captured alive, small hunter. Is no greater dishonor. Means all my points forfeit. Lifetime's score, gone.Without score, I am nothing. Scorekeeper turns face away.Barsen'thorYou're still a person, Qyzen, whether you have a score or not.Qyzen FessSmall hunter. Do not understand.Yuon brought hope. She risked all to come, past Nalen's men; asked for last coordinate to Fount of Rajivari.Gave hope but... strangeness to see her. Yuon's scent, all changed. Perhaps because - was strangeness.Barsen'thorQyzen, Master Yuon has been at the Jedi Temple for hours. Nalen must have used some Force trick, to make you think he was Yuon.Qyzen FessTrickery, on dishonor? Masking as Yuon? I will track and punish for this! Small hunter, Nalen has all coordinates. Fount of Rajivari is his to find.Barsen'thorHe can find it. Whether he can enter safely, without the clues I've gathered, is another matter.Qyzen FessI will accompany, small hunter. To guide. And see Nalen Raloch dead. Points are lost. Scorekeeper will not see. But perhaps is some good I can do. |
Dialog transcript |
Guardian (vision)No further, seeker. You come here unpurified. It is an insult to Rajivari's memory. Rajivari's apprentices were flawed. But they walked the fire and were reborn.Only a personal sacrifice will show your strength and resolve, seeker. Will you be purified by flame?Qyzen FessPurification. Chance to atone for losing score - I would do.Barsen'thorIf my followers are weak, I am nothing. Purify Qyzen.Guardian (vision)Powerful words. But self-sacrifice is the path of a fool. The Fount of Rajivari is not kind to intruders. Flee, or suffer. |
Dialog transcript |
Wounded Twi'lek (vision)You! So you... uhhh! You made it after all. I hoped your head would be Nalen's trophy by now. I came here to... prove myself. To Nalen. But the traps....It doesn't matter. You're the enemy; if I can still... hold a blade, I can stick you in the heart!Barsen'thorNo living creature's suffering can be ignored.Wounded Twi'lek (vision)Mercy leads to a spiral of destruction. You don't belong here. Your ignorance should devour you. But, all things in time. |
Dialog transcript |
RajivariOf course, here is the other. Seekers of forbidden knowledge always have their pursuers. If you came for Nalen Raloch, he has been and gone. So much is fleeting. But I remain. And I remain the man I was. Rajivari.Barsen'thorYou can't be alive. The Council struck you down thousands of years ago.RajivariWhen my body failed me, I refused to become one with the Force. How could I? The Jedi were still imperfect. Here, in my laboratory, I had refined certain... devices. I could give one chosen apprentice decades of experience in a day. An apprentice, to become worthy to carry my vision.Barsen'thorSo your wisdom and knowledge were preserved through you and these devices you created.RajivariI have waited, for new acolytes. I... believed Nalen Raloch was a suitable candidate.But... disappointment. Nalen walked through the traps instead of solving them. He suffered greatly. You, at least, survived with your mind intact. Nalen, alas, did not.Now Nalen is... changed.Barsen'thorCan anything be done for Nalen?RajivariPossible, but doubtful.RajivariI... miscalculated. Nalen's mind wasn't equal to the wisdom he demanded. I have made... not a successor, but a monster.Nalen will not remake the Jedi; he wishes to destroy them and everything else on this world. Beginning with the great Forge, where lightsabers are made.In my time, it crafted our blades and scientific instruments. Now, lightsabers are created there. Without the Forge, the Jedi lose their martial power. You must stop Nalen before he destroys it.Barsen'thorI thought you intended to destroy the Jedi. You attacked the Council.RajivariI sought to cleanse them, to begin anew. Nalen wants only ashes. That weapon won't suffice against Nalen. But you carry the hilt of the first blade - an old friend. A simple procedure would convert it to a working lightsaber hilt. And perhaps a crystal from the Forge caves to power it, given its age.Barsen'thorI appreciate your guidance, Master Rajivari.RajivariPass through the caves, and seek the Forge at the mountain's summit. Stop Nalen, this... abomination my knowledge has created.Barsen'thorMaster Rajivari, you've held on to this existence for thousands of years. Perhaps it's time for it to end.RajivariAh, child. You see only what the Jedi are. But I saw what could have been. My colleagues wouldn't listen. I spoke of strength; they cowered. I spoke of a golden age; they chattered of overstepping ourselves. It will happen. Someday, the right acolyte will carry my vision.Barsen'thorThose ideas drove you to betray the Council, your friends. And what about your apprentices?RajivariMy... apprentices. Yes. Cahel - always wiser than his age. And Vadria, and Orth.Barsen'thorIt took many powerful Jedi to stop you, Master Rajivari. Those who survived were clearly worthy to survive any challenge.RajivariI remember that battle. My friends. My death. You speak of things I had long put aside.Barsen'thorYou were a great man once. You deserve more than this ruin and your memories. If you stay, you are no more than an echo of the past. But if you let go, you will always be a Jedi.RajivariI... gave my dream to Nalen Raloch. And I saw a horror. Perhaps... it was always so. Please. Stop him. Correct my last mistake. You must succeed. You are proof the Jedi did not lose their way after all. |
Dialog transcript |
Both Padawans and their companions decided to go through the Forge together as a team. |
Dialog transcript |
Qyzen FessForge. Yuon has spoken of. Is maker of weapons, arms Jedi.Hmm. No scent, no track. Nalen is not here, but should prepare. Perhaps is time enough to build your weapon.Barsen'thorThis will require a lot of concentration. If you could look out for me....Qyzen FessShall do so.Shall watch path, small hunter. None will interrupt your work.Go. Make your weapon. You have earned. |
Dialog transcript |
Nalen RalochFitting that it's you, armed with the last lightsaber this Forge will ever make.Look at them! Another Jedi to nod, and preach, and do nothing while the Flesh Raiders ravage our home!I know Rajivari's secrets. Horrors that the Jedi - this Jedi! - have been chasing. And only I can protect us, our families and our future!Barsen'thorNalen, your power is destroying you. But it isn't too late to save yourself.Whatever future you'd create for Kalikori village would be tainted by what you've become.AlliaNalen, this Kedi done alright by us. You keep saying the Jedi are the enemy, but this on is not. This is... you're going too far. How is this protecting us?KethMaybe we don't have all the facts. But what Nalen's been saying - something's not right.Nalen RalochI did this for all of you! If you can't see the danger, I'll show you myself!Barsen'thorListen to your people. This is not what they want.Nalen RalochIt'll make sense when you're dead.Qyzen FessDoes not fight alone. This is fight of honor - you owe blood, dark thing. |
Dialog transcript |
Nalen RalochI'd forgotten... the smell of my own blood. I... I yield.KethBut Nalen, he... he's never been beaten. What... what are you going to do with him?AlliaPlease - you're not going to kill him?Barsen'thorI won't kill him. He can go to the Jedi Temple until his fate is decided.KethBut we still lose him. The village needs Nalen's help. How are we going to keep it together?Barsen'thorIf you need me, I'll do whatever I can.KethThank you. We'll remember.AlliaWe can carry Nalen to the temple, Master Jedi. He still belongs to us. |
Dialog transcript |
Qyzen FessI have been fool. Spoke false. You are no small hunter.Barsen'thorWhat do you mean?Qyzen FessNalen Raloch. Saw true power here, after becoming dark thing. You had unfamiliar weapon, no preparation... winning could not be. But you stand.Cannot be other. Scorekeeper has seen. Chosen for greatest honor. You are Herald of Scorekeeper.Barsen'thorQyzen, I'm nobody special. I just did the best I could.Qyzen FessYes, is good for Herald to be humble. But Scorekeeper has shown favor. Is clear. To lose points was horror. But Scorekeeper has led through darkness to greater thing. You.I will follow, Herald. Wherever needed. Scorekeeper has shown path: to serve her Herald.Barsen'thorIf you truly believe I am this "Herald," I'll do my best to live up to the name.Qyzen FessIs much news we have, Herald. Should return to Jedi Temple, speak to Council. And Yuon. You as Herald, and victorious - shall please her. Come. |
Dialog transcript |
Master Syo BakarnWe've been waiting for you, Padawan. You've already met Master Jaric; this is Master Satele Shan.Grand Master Satele ShanI've been treating Nalen Raloch. The Pilgrims who carried him here told us of your battle. Remarkable.Barsen'thorI would have brought a peaceful solution if I could. How bad are his injuries, Master Satele? I wasn't sure he would survive.Grand Master Satele ShanPeace is the ideal, Padawan, but there's no shame in defending yourself. He will survive, though it will be a long recovery. You've begun well, Padawan. How you proceed remains to be seen.Master KaedanIt seems we have much to learn about the villagers. Perhaps we should rethink our position....Master Yuon ParEnough, enough. Padawan- the Fount of Rajivari. You actually set foot there? Please, tell me everything!Barsen'thorMaster Rajivari himself spoke to me. What was left of him.Master Yuon ParYou saw a Force apparition? Of Rajivari? This is extraordinary!Master KaedanIt seems you may have been right, Yuon. I... apologize. To you, and your Padawan.Grand Master Satele ShanNo longer a Padawan. The Padawan carries a lightsaber and have proven themselves. I have only one last question before the training's complete. At the moment, Nalen Raloch is resting in a kolto tank. When he's well, what should become of him?Barsen'thorNalen proved he has great strength in the Force. Maybe he has a future with us.Grand Master Satele ShanAnd bring reconciliation between us and the villagers - a sound idea.Master Syo BakarnWe judge you ready to accept your place as a Jedi. Yuon, if you would?Master Yuon ParBefore this Council, I take from you the title of Padawan. I name you a full Jedi of our order. Honor the past. Work... for the future. May the Force be always with you. You've... done so well, my student. I'm....Barsen'thorMaster Yuon?Master Syo BakarnCome away. Yuon? Can you hear me? |
Dialog transcript |
Master Syo BakarnYuon is resting comfortably, for now. It seems she's suffering some kind of illness. I can't lie to you. Her condition is grave.Barsen'thorWe have some of the finest healers in the galaxy, can't we treat her?Qyzen FessYuon tried to heal, Herald. Was no sickness she knew. She did best to hide sickness.Master Syo BakarnYou knew Yuon was ill? And didn't inform us?Qyzen FessIs not for me to tell secrets. Was her wish to train one last hunter. I understood.Barsen'thorNow I see why she was so devoted to my training.Master Syo BakarnWe're sending Yuon to Coruscant. Our researchers there have been recovering artifacts from the first Jedi Temple; they may have something to cure Yuon.Take a shuttle, and join Yuon on Coruscant. She will need your help.Barsen'thorYes, Master.Qyzen FessWhere Herald goes, I go also. Is Scorekeeper's wish.Master Syo BakarnMeantime, assure Yuon we will be studying your discoveries about Rajivari. Some of the claims his apprentices recorded... bear investigation. When you reach Coruscant, go to our embassy in the Senate tower, and find a researcher called Attros Finn. He'll be expecting you.Good luck. To you both. And may the Force be with you. |
Dialog transcript |
Qyzen FessMust thank you. qyzen_fess: To travel with Scorekeeper's Herald is great blessing. I am grateful for honor.Barsen'thorI've seen your prowess as a hunter, Qyzen. I'm glad to have you at my side. This will be a tough journey. Don't thank me just yet. We still have many tasks ahead of us.Qyzen FessWhat is to fear? There is hunt; then success, or death.Fighting Nalen Raloch together. Great, glorious victory. But was terrible to lose score. To wake up caged, and be nothing.Barsen'thorThese points and your score are everything to you, correct?Qyzen FessHunt is life. Honorable kill earns points, tallied by Scorekeeper. She sees all. Bigger score earns glory in afterlife. But capture... erases score. Gone. Is worse than death. But, also gained much on Tython. I met Scorekeeper's Herald. Is all balance. |
Dialog transcript |
Sedni MarukRotten, procreating beasts! Padawans will start dying if this keeps up. Oh, at least you made it through, Jedi. The horranths are everywhere lately. Hulking, razor-mawed monsters with nasty dispositions. They're multiplying fast and growing bolder. Something in the water since the Flesh Raiders came... I could use help getting things under control.Jedi DuoWho are you, anyway?Sedni MarukNot the first time I've been accused of being rude. Sorry. I'm Sedni Maruk. Trained here myself. The Masters decided my talents were best served guarding and protecting the ruins. I'm proud to serve. Wanted to be a Jedi, but this is the next best thing. Until now.Jedi DuoIt's not an indictment of you. Not everyone is cut out for this life.Sedni MarukI tell myself that every day.Jedi DuoWhat can we do to help?Sedni MarukEliminating a horranth matriarch and patriarch will slow the beasts' population explosion. But they're tough to find and even tougher to kill. The matriarchs and patriarchs tend to gravitate in different clearings. You'll have to hunt them down separately - if you're willing to help?Jedi DuoWe'll do it, but we have to find a better solution for the future, so senseless slaughter isn't our only recourse.Sedni MarukAgreed, but right now our options are limited. Would really help if you remove any of the beasts' eggs you see. But it's up to you. Hope you fare well. I'll be here, holding down the camp. |
Dialog transcript |
Sedni MarukThe horranth matriarchs and patriarchs make a distinctive howl when they mate, and when they die. Heard it echoing throughout the ruins. I've marked fewer of the beasts bounding through the area already. You have my gratitude.Jedi DuoTheir nests were everywhere - "were" being the operative word.Sedni MarukIt's prospects like you that make me so proud to serve. Be well. |
Dialog transcript |
Qyzen FessHmmph. How can any live on this world? Is dead place. These buildings... they tower over and under. No land, no water. Is nowhere to hunt. Scorekeeper turned away from here, I think.Barsen'thorYou have a point.Qyzen FessIs so. Too much noise here, too many people. Is no hunter's world, but I stay. I stay for you, Herald, and for Yuon. Please - we visit Yuon first? Embassy can wait for us. |
Dialog transcript |
Yuon ParI failed, I failed, I failed. I'm sorry I failed. Once there were two little boys. Their names were Parkanas and... and... something. Why can't I remember?Barsen'thorIt's going to be alright. I'm sure you'll remember eventually. Just relax.Yuon ParBut I have to rememb- Padawan!Qyzen FessHave never seen Yuon so, Herald. Not in all years of knowing.Yuon ParI'm not mad. The man in the shadows is making me this way. He brings the darkness - it's coming!Barsen'thorThe man in the shadows? I don't understand.Yuon ParParkanas! Parkanas, where are you?Attros FinnYuon! Pharen, please see Yuon back to her room. |

Priority Transport OfficerMasters Jedi, Lieutenant, Captain.Such a pleasure. Welcome, welcome. Greetings. You are headed to the capital maybe? Yes? There is a direct shuttle to Coruscant. It is small but comfortable.I was contacted by a group of important people - Jedi Masters Shan and Syo, and General Garza. And Captain, you have two tickets purchased by one named Syreena?Your tickets also give you transport on the Esseles. Very comfortable, very fast. VIP Republic transport. Yes?OperativesGlad to hear it.Priority Transport OfficerExcellent, excellent. Be warned, transport sometimes goes through dangerous space. When you are ready, go through airlock. It will lead you straight to the Esseles. |
Dialog transcript |
Vyn AsaraExcuse me? Yes, could I speak with you for a moment? You're a soldier - Republic Army, right? You're a Jedi, aren't you?. And Captain, some passengers from Ord Mantell mentioned your reputation as a first-rate pilot.I'm sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you've been contacted by any of the ship's officers.MeteorI have not been contacted by any of the ship's personnel. Is there a situation?Vyn AsaraCaptain? VoidhoundI don't normally do civilian transport, but I could definitely get this hunk of metal to Coruscant faster.Vyn AsaraNo, no. I'm sorry, that isn't quite what I meant. Masters?Hero of TythonI haven't spoken to any members of the crew. But anyone who needs the help of a Jedi will have it.Barsen'thorNo member of the ship's crew has sought me out. Should they have?Vyn AsaraI overheard some passengers talking. You've got quite a reputation. Has the ship's crew spoken to you at all?Barsen'thorI sense great concern. Why don't you tell us what's wrong?Vyn AsaraI heard a rumor that there's an Imperial warship following us. I know, I know- the Treaty of Coruscant. But I don't trust the Empire to keep the peace. It's hard not to be a little afraid - knowing what the Empire was capable of back in the war.VoidhoundHey, there's nothing wrong with looking over your shoulder every once in a while.MeteorThe Imps will always be a threat - no treaty is going to change that.Vyn AsaraIt's good to hear I'm not the only one concerned about the Imperials. I just thought that the ship's crew is more likely to talk to someone like you if there's trouble.MeteorTelling the passengers that Imperials are nearby would only cause a panic.Vyn AsaraI suppose. Still, I think it's unsettling to think that there might be Imperials behind us.IntercomWarning! Warning! Incoming fire! All hands, brace for incoming! Repeat, all hands- |

Vyn AsaraCan you hear me? Are you alright? Good, good. That was quite a hit, we're lucky not to be hurt.MeteorThe Imperials seem to have forgotten about the treaty....Vyn AsaraI knew the treaty would break eventually, but I didn't think I'd actually be here to see it.Listen- you have to get to the bridge. The captain will need all of the help he can get right now- go, hurry!MeteorLet's just hope it's not too late to help. We should head for the bridge and see if there's any way we can lend a hand.Vyn AsaraIt's never too late to try. With your skills, I'm sure you could make a difference. Good luck. |

First Officer HakenCome on, Tyrus! You can make it, sir, you can make it!Navigator PlexHe's gone, sir. You're in charge now - what are our orders?First Officer HakenYour orders? Our weapons are out, shields are out, comms are out! There's nothing we can do!Barsen'thorThe path may not always be clear, but that doesn't mean there is no path.First Officer HakenWhy is this Jedi standing on our bridge spouting nonsense? We're in a situation here! If you want to be useful, Jedi, then get out of here and stop interrupting us!VoidhoundIt sounds like you guys could use a captain with some experience.First Officer HakenWho is this? Who do you think you are? Get out!MeteorGive us a sitrep, people - what have we got?First Officer HakenIs your hearing bad, soldier? Because I'm pretty sure I just went over that. We're in the middle of a situation here, the bridge is off-limits.Navigator PlexSir, we need all the help we can get. If we don't keep it together here, we're finished.First Officer HakenKeep what together? The Imperials have us by the throat! We're as good as dead already.MeteorWhat's wrong with you? Are you really going to let your ship fall to the Imperials so easily?First Officer HakenThat ship behind us is one of the biggest in the Imperial fleet. We didn't stand a chance. I just can't believe this is happening.VoidhoundAre the engines still working? Is there any chance we could run?Navigator PlexThe engines are operational, but we're caught in a tractor beam. Impossible to run for it.Communication Officer RasteSir! Incoming message - the Imperial ship is hailing us!First Officer HakenWhat? Oh. Well, put them on.Grand Moff KilranRepublic transport Esseles, this is Grand Moff Rycus Kilran. Your defenses are entirely disabled. Attempt no resistance.VoidhoundWe're aware of our situation, Kilran. Just tell us why you're here.Grand Moff KilranCome, now. I think it's obvious I'm not here for friendly diplomacy. Your ship is transporting a known anti-Imperial terrorist and seditionist: the so-called "Ambassador" Vyn Asara. I've come to collect her.First Officer HakenWho? We didn't take on any passengers by that name. I've never even heard of this person!Grand Moff KilranInteresting. Lying or incompetent? No matter. My agents aboard your ship have confirmed the ambassador is there.MeteorWhat are you going to do about it, Kilran? You can't force us to hand this person over.Grand Moff KilranI'm fairly confident that I can. Imperial soldiers are preparing to board your ship through its primary air lock. My agents will ensure that you do not interfere with them.If you attempt to stop my men from arresting Ambassador Asara, I will have every living thing aboard the Esseles killed.Hero of TythonWhere is the primary air lock? We'll stop the Imperials as they try to board.Navigator PlexWeren't you listening? If we try to fight, they'll slaughter us! We have to cooperate!Let's not panic. We just figure out who this ambassador is and hand her over. No problem.First Officer HakenIt won't matter. Kilran has us, now. He'll kill us all - he's famous for it. The only one he wants alive is the ambassador. If Kilran gets the ambassador while we're sitting in his sights, we're goners. Those soldiers have to be stopped before they can succeed.Barsen'thorWe'll show these Imperials the error of their ways.First Officer HakenIt's very brave of you to volunteer. Listen- I'm sorry I lost it earlier. It means a lot to have your help right now. Thank you. I'm sure you're up to anything the Imps can throw at us.I'll have our security team meet you by the primary air lock. They haven't seen much action, but Commander Narlock knows his stuff. Good luck. We're all counting on you. |

Commander NarlockThis is it, men. This is what you've been training for. The Imperials are coming, and we're not going to let them past, are we?Security Team Member 1Sir, no, sir!Commander NarlockWe won't be fighting alone! We have some very experienced volunteers - the Imps will never know what hit them!Hero of TythonMy lightsaber is at your service, Commander.Commander NarlockDo you hear that, men? Our friend here is going to chop through these Imps like nothing!Barsen'thorThe Force will guide us to victory.Commander NarlockThe Force will be with us, men! We'll be unstoppable!VoidhoundHope you're ready to see a real professional at work.Commander NarlockA professional! We've got nothing to worry about, men - we can't lose!MeteorHavoc Squad, reporting for duty!Commander NarlockHavoc Squad! The best in the Republic, and they're fighting by your side, men. We can't fail! We won't!The Imps will cut through any second now - we need to take up defensive positions. Move up, men! Get ready! |

Commander NarlockHah! Victory! We've done it, men, we've done it! The ship is saved!Vyn AsaraI'm sorry, Commander, but that... that isn't the case.MeteorWe defeated the entire boarding party - nobody could've slipped past us.Vyn AsaraNo, you're right - it's not you the Imperials slipped past.VoidhoundYou're Ambassador Asara? That Imperial said that you're the one they were sent to capture.Vyn AsaraListen, that's not important right now - we have a serious problem. First Officer Haken walked us right into a trap. The attack on this air lock was a ruse. After Haken sent you here, Imperial commandos snuck aboard, they were led by a Mandalorian mercenary called "Ironfist." The Mandalorians work for the Empire - they're some of the best warriors in the galaxy. And Ironfist is one of the most famous. It gets worse, I'm afraid. Ironfist and his Imperial commandos stormed the bridge, and now the entire area is locked down tight. That's why I rushed to find you. We have to do something - we have to act fast.VoidhoudHow did you learn about all of this?Vyn AsaraI watched the whole thing happen on the security cams.Commander NarlockLook, what is this all about? Why are the Imperials so desperate to capture you?Vyn AsaraBecause of my work. I'm a Republic ambassador. I travel to Imperial-controlled planets and convince their governments to come over to our side.Barsen'thorTurning potential enemies into friends spares us unnecessary conflicts.Vyn AsaraNot all battles can be avoided, but diplomacy can gain us so much more than fighting.VoidhoundTalk about running dangerous cargo. Who gets you in and out of these places?Vyn AsaraI slip in on passenger ships like this one and blend in. But we can talk about my work later.Commander NarlockWe need to retake the bridge. The longer we leave the Imperials in control, the harder it will be to remove them.Vyn AsaraI already told you, Ironfist has the bridge locked down. There's no way in or out.Commander NarlockA security lockdown... that is bad. Chief Engineer Salen might know of a workaround.MeteorHopefully we can get to Salen before the Imperials. Do you know where he is?Dol NarlockHe and his team will be down in the engineering section. I'm sure they'll be able to help us.Vyn AsaraWe'll need a diversion. If the Imperials notice the hatches to engineering opening, they'll flood the area with soldiers.Dol NarlockMy men and I can handle that. Form up, men! We're going to go start some trouble!MeteorLet's get that bridge open!Dol NarlockWe'll give those Imps something to think about, won't we, boys?Vyn AsaraIt's a lot to ask of you, I know. But we have to get the bridge open. I'll go along with Commander Narlock. Once you've cleared a path to engineering, I'll double-back and join up with you there. Good luck. |
Dialog transcript |
VeppHey! Hey, Chief, come here! Look, there's someone out there, on the other side of the door!SalenYou must be crazy, coming all the way down here with the Imps everywhere.MeteorCommander Narlock said that you might know of a way to unlock the bridge. The Imperials have it sealed off.SalenThe Imps pulled the lockdown? You've got to be kidding me.Vyn AsaraYou really cleared this place out. I didn't run into a single Imperial on my way down here. Listen- there's no time to waste. Commander Narlock and his men are being overrun - we have to get the bridge unlocked now.SalenSo I've heard. I'd invite you in, but the lockdown has our doors sealed, too.Hero of TythonAre you going to be safe in there? Do you need help getting out?SalenGetting the bridge back in our control is much more important. Now let's see...VeppWhat about a reactor reset? That would disengage the security locks, wouldn't it, sir?SalenYeah, but a reactor reset vents the engineering compartment - we'd be blown into space. Besides, controls are on the other side of the door.VoidhoundWhat else could we do to open up the bridge?SalenThe secondary conduits. They're spread around a bit, but if you shut them all down, the security will go down, too. Then we'll be in business.MeteorWe'll get the conduits shut down right away.Vyn AsaraThere's no time to go running all over the ship. If we don't act now, the Imperials will overwhelm us. I'm sorry, Salen. We need to unlock the bridge while we have the chance. We have to reset the reactor. You and your men will be remembered.Barsen'thorWe can't send these people to their deaths! Not when there's an alternative!Vyn AsaraFine. But you're dooming everyone on this ship. Sometimes, sacrifices have to be made for the greater good.Hero of TythonWe're trying to save the people on this ship, not kill them.Vyn AsaraFine. Who am I to argue?SalenCrazy witch! Shutting down the secondary conduits will work, I promise.Vyn AsaraIf you're going to do it, go now. The longer you wait, the more Imperials you'll have after you. |
Dialog transcript |
Vyn AsaraI don't know how you managed it, but you did. The security doors around the bridge have opened.MeteorThe bridge is open, and no innocent lives had to be sacrificed to do it.Vyn AsaraYou were right- I'm sorry. Please understand, I didn't want to kill anyone, I just... it seemed like the only way to be sure.I'll go and help Narlock with another diversion. So you have as little resistance as possible when you attack the bridge. You'll still have to deal with Ironfist, though. And that's no small challenge.VoidhoundWhat do you know about Ironfist?Vyn AsaraI only know Ironfist by reputation, but he's been doing Grand Moff Kilran's dirty work for a long time now. He's never been captured, defeated or even driven back. You have your work cut out for you.MeteorThey didn't just train me to do the easy jobs, ma'am.VoidhoundSo if Ironfist goes down, I become famous. Works for me.Vyn AsaraI'm not sure if fame should be the first thing on your mind at a time like this.Just be careful. Mandalorians always have a few tricks up their sleeves. All right, no more time to waste. Narlock, are you there? Can you hear me?Dol NarlockCopy, this is Narlock! Set for second offensive?Vyn AsaraThat's right, Commander. I'm on my way to join you now. |
Dialog transcript |
IronfistWell, well. I was wondering when you'd finally show up. This is it? There aren't more of you?Hero of TythonJust give up, Ironfist. We don't want to have to hurt you or your men.IronfistStrange view of the situation. Guess you'd have to be a little crazy to put up the fight you have. Just give me a decent fight for once, will you?Let's vape this worthless scum and get back to work. |
Dialog transcript |
Vyn AsaraFirst Officer Haken, do you have any spare shuttles in the hangar bay?HakenSpare shuttles? Yes, we do, but I don't-Vyn AsaraThen that's our only chance. You have to board Grand Moff Kilran's ship and disable the tractor beam so that we can all escape.MeteorWhy not? We've been fighting insane odds all along. No sense stopping now.VoidhoundI'm in. A bit of fancy flying followed by some daring heroics? You've come to the right person.Vyn AsaraI knew we could count on you.I've been aboard warships like Kilran's. The tractor beam controls should be easy to find, if you know where you're going.HakenAmbassador, you're familiar with the layout, perhaps you should go along to help get the tractor beam shut down.Vyn AsaraHmm. We need every advantage we can get.MeteorSounds like a plan. It will be good to have you along, Ambassador.Vyn AsaraI'll do my best to help in any way I can.Dol NarlockAmbassador, before you go - take a spare uniform. We wouldn't want any Imperials to recognize you.Vyn AsaraGood thinking, Commander - thank you. Now let's get moving.HakenGood luck out there. We're all counting on you. |
Dialog transcript |
HakenHey! Hold up a minute. I need to talk to you before you go.I just talked to Salen from engineering. He told me what Asara tried to make you do down there. Thank you for stopping her.MeteorShe was just doing what she thought she had to do to save the ship.HakenAnd she would've killed a lot of good people if you hadn't stopped her. Thank you.Listen, I've been thinking. I really believe this plan is going to work. But there's only one way to guarantee that we all make it home safe. And that's to make sure the Imperials have no reason to keep chasing us.MeteorWhat are you suggesting, Haken?VoidhoundYou want us to hand the ambassador over to the Imperials, don't you?HakenYes. For the sake of us all, I want you to leave Asara behind on the Grand Moff's ship. With the tractor beam down, we'll be able to escape. But Kilran will just chase us down again - unless he's already captured his target.Asara is the reason for all of this. If you're serious about doing whatever it takes to save this ship, then you'll make sure she doesn't come back with you.Hero of TythonWe didn't sacrifice the engineers to get us out of this. We won't sacrifice Asara, either. Don't let your anger at the ambassador cloud your judgment.HakenMy judgement isn't clouded. This is what has to be done, I'm sure of it.MeteorAmbassador Asara is a Republic official. It's our duty to protect her.HakenIt's going to be dangerous over there. If Asara didn't make it, nobody would even think twice about it.VoidhoundIs this really what's best for the ship? Or are you just looking for a bit of payback?HakenMaybe. Doesn't change the fact that leaving her behind will save the rest of us. Just think about it. I'd even make it worth your while if things go the way I'm suggesting. |
Dialog transcript |
HakenEveryone's aboard, Plex! Get us out of here, now! We're safe! You did it - you did what no one else could have done. You've saved us all. We owe you our lives... every one of us. So, on behalf of the passengers and crew of the Republic transport Esseles, thank you.MeteorYou're welcome. It's been an honor to help and protect you all.HakenIf you hadn't been here, we'd all have been doomed. We can't thank you enough. I took up a collection from everyone on the ship - hopefully, these credits will help you save other people in need, the same way you've saved us.Hero of TythonPlease - keep your credits. I'm sure you all need them more than we.HakenThat's extremely gracious of you. Thank you very much.Ambassador Asara, it's... it's a relief to see that you made it back to us safely as well.Vyn AsaraReally? I imagine it comes as a bit of a surprise to see me here at all, Haken.HakenI- I don't know what you mean. Of course I'm glad to see you. Why would you think differently?VoidhoundYou offered us a reward to leave her on the Grand Moff's ship, Haken.HakenYou must have misunderstood me. I would never... I wouldn't do something like that.Vyn AsaraThank you for telling me the truth and for everything else you've done here. The Republic needs heroes like you now more than ever.I should warn you, though. Grand Moff Kilran is never going to forget what we've done. He'll stop at nothing to get his revenge.Barsen'thorThanks for the warning. Sounds like we'd better keep our guard up from now on.Vyn AsaraThat would be wise. There's nothing Kilran isn't capable of.Anyway, enough of that. I'd say it's about time we all relaxed a bit and enjoyed the rest of our trip. Thanks again - and good luck in the future. |

Mendi DianHuh, this is a surprise. Name's Mendi Dian. I'm with the Strategic Information Service. Gotta say, I never expected someone like you to get involved in something like this. Didn't think anyone else was looking into what's going on here. What's your interest in my case, if you don't mind me asking?MeteorYour case? You mean you're investigating the droid?Hero of TythonI sensed something unusual about all this. I appreciate you confirming it.Mendi DianYou're welcome, I guess? But if you think that little chat you had was unusual, just you wait.... You've spent five minutes with that little astromech. Believe me, you haven't seen anything yet.I haven't taken my eyes off that entire Fleet sector since that droid showed up. Who comes, who goes, who the thing actually has a conversation with... I don't miss any of it. So when that bucket of bolts starts handing out orders - and someone takes them - I feel the need to intervene.VoidhoundYou don't seem very enthusiastic about all this, considering how much effort you're putting in.MeteorWhy are you letting it continue to be such a nuisance? Get rid of it. This is a complete waste of SIS resources, if you ask me. This is a complete waste of SIS resources, if you ask me.Mendi DianI'm not disagreeing with you there. On the surface, this doesn't seem like anything to get worked up about. But someone's behind this, and I'm trying to get to the bottom of it. No matter how strange it is.I'm struggling to do even the bare minimum, surveillance-wise, on this droid. You keep doing what you're doing. Play along. Run any little errands the droid gives you. That'll give me time to catch up, start really digging into who's letting this misery-spouting astromech run wild on our fleet.MeteorWe'd be happy to assist you.Mendi DianLook, if you'd just- oh. Sorry. I usually have to do a lot more convincing before people get me the resources I need.I just thought you might like to know there's someone backing you up. When I've got something we can go on, I'll let you know. And look, I'm not the biggest fan of asking for help, and I'm not good at either. You're already doing something the droid asked. You're involved now. Whether you like it or not. |

Rycus KilranWell. I've seen some incredible things in my time, but you've just topped the list. I'm sorry I couldn't greet you in person - if only you had let me know you were stopping by.VoidhoundIf this is a bad time, we could come back later.Rycus KilranOh, no. Not at all. I assure you, I'm quite prepared for your visit. My men will be along shortly to escort you to the accommodations I've arranged.Hero of TythonYour men can't stop us, Kilran.Rycus KilranYou greatly overestimate your chances. Ironfist wasn't the only weapon in my arsenal - nor the deadliest.See you soon. |

First Officer Haken doesn't want you to come back from this one, Ambassador. He thinks you'll just cause more trouble.Vyn AsaraIs this a joke? That spineless, indecisive... he wants you to hand me over to the Imperials? Unbelievable. After everything I've done to save this ship. Everything I've done for the Republic. That scum tries to betray me to the Empire.Wait. You didn't actually agree to leave me behind, did you?Barsen'thorWe wouldn't leave you behind to die, Asara.Vyn AsaraGood. Anitol RossparI was hoping to meet just one of you. This must be what the saying "an embarrassment of riches" means. Considering your recent accomplishments, I shouldn't be surprised to find you traveling together. Greatness attracts greatness.Hero of TythonI can't speak for my friends, but I'm just another Jedi here on business.Anitol RossparDon't be so humble. You stopped an attack on Tython's Jedi Temple - as a Padawan. People in high places are talking.Barsen'thorWhat is your interest in us? Clearly, our reputations precede us. My questions are, how... and why do you care?Anitol RossparStopping a threat like Nalen Raloch attracts attention. Your names are known in the right circles.MeteorMy missions are classified. I don't know what you're talking about. Even if I did, I couldn't discuss it with a civilian.Anitol RossparNot trying to violate your security clearance, Lieutenant. I'll just thank you for exposing the traitors on Ord Mantell.VoidhoundWow, I'm already famous. Didn't realize my exploits were public knowledge. You looking for an autograph?Anitol RossparNot exactly, but I am a fan. You stormed a separatist base on Ord Mantell and came back without a scratch. Impressive.MeteorAnd unwelcome attention. Greatness also attracts annoying people who want things.Anitol RossparSad, but true. Rest assured, I'm not here to waste your time.I represent Vanara Kayl, Senator of Coruscant. She not only speaks for our capital world in the Galactic Senate, but oversees this planet's government.Senator Kayl leads the effort to rebuild what was destroyed during the Sith Empire's invasion. Healing those old wounds has been slow and painful.Hero of TythonThe war's been over a long time. It's hard to believe we're still recovering.Anitol RossparSome wounds run deeper than others.VoidhoundAre you requesting donations? You're here collecting credits for the reconstruction, is that it?Anitol RossparA person of your skills can provide more substantial aid. This world faces many crises: a shattered infrastructure, a booming refugee population... whole sectors descending into anarchy. All of these hinder the rebuilding.Senator Kayl believes you're specially qualified to deal with a dangerous and urgent threat. She'd appreciate the favor of a meeting - immediately.Hero of TythonThe Senator needs to clear this with Master Orgus Din. If he agrees, I'll meet her.Anitol RossparThere's no time for standard diplomatic channels. Senator Kayl will explain everything.Barsen'thorA great Jedi has fallen ill. She is my priority.Anitol RossparKeep an open mind. What's good for Senator Kayl is good for Master Yuon as well.MeteorI'm here on urgent business. I don't have time for political games.Anitol RossparThis is no game, Lieutenant - but I'm not authorized to reveal more. You understand.VoidhoundSenator, huh? My time isn't cheap.Anitol RossparArrangements will be made to ensure you feel properly compensated.Senator Kayl is the greatest leader we've had in decades. She'll not only rebuild this world, but the rest of the Republic with it.Speak to Minister Imogh at the Senate tower. Tell him you're expected. Good luck - and welcome to Coruscant. |
Dialog transcript |
ImoghAh, at last! One moment, please... Senator? Your special appointment has arrived.Vanara KaylThank you for coming on short notice. I'm Senator Vanara Kayl. Forgive my abruptness, but time is a luxury I don't possess. As you may have heard, Coruscant is overwhelmed with refugees fleeing Imperial tyranny. Many have been here since the war.The refugees took over the old Galactic Market sector, huddling in shops and warehouses that were abandoned during the Sacking of Coruscant. They refuse to leave.Hero of TythonIs the Republic doing anything to provide for these refugees?Vanara KaylResources are scarce. There's only so much we can do. We've offered to resettle them offworld, but they're demanding to remain here.As so often happens when fear and poverty dominate, a criminal element has risen to take advantage of the situation. The Migrant Merchants' Guild began as a political advocacy group for refugees. Over the years, it transformed into a ruthless and murderous criminal syndicate.Barsen'thorAs if these people didn't have enough problems, now they're being controlled by gangsters.Vanara KaylThese criminals exploit the very people their guild allegedly protects. They rule through intimidation and extortion.MeteorDo the gangsters have a power structure? A leader?Vanara KaylIt's a consortium of powerful crime lords. When one falls, another takes his place. It makes them difficult to defeat. The Migrant Merchants' Guild has grown increasingly hostile and violent. Their criminal enforcers have acquired military-grade weaponry.Earlier today, their thugs took to the streets. They attacked our security personnel, set fires, began rioting. We're facing an armed insurrection.MeteorSounds like Ord Mantell. You just described the last enemy I fought.Vanara KaylI need your expertise, Lieutenant. We can't rule out the possibility of Imperial influence.VoidhoundHave these gangsters made any demands?Vanara KaylThey only seem intent on destruction. For generations, the old Galactic Market was Coruscant's central trade hub. Its importance isn't merely economic - it's a symbol of the Republic's freedom. The comm channels are jammed. We've lost contact with our security forces. I need your help ending this crisis. The criminals must not win.VoidhoundYour forces are probably dead. If the situation's as bad as you say, your people didn't survive.Vanara KaylThere's still hope. If my security forces were dead, those gangsters couldn't resist letting me know.Do whatever you must to save innocent lives from that criminal filth. Find my security chief, Captain Winborn. He'll help. Good luck. |

WinbornCut power to the whole blasted planet if you have to! We can't let those crazies take over the network!MeteorCaptain Winborn? Senator Kayl said you need backup. What's the situation? Captain Winborn? Senator Kayl said you need backup. What's the situation?WinbornWe're getting cut to pieces down here. We're not trained to fight an army of killers. These gangsters are smart - organized. Clearly trained offworld. They'll kill thousands. Might even destroy the Senate tower.MeteorPull your men back, Captain. Let us handle the criminals.WinbornIt's not that simple. They came here with a plan.Hero of TythonThe Senate tower is nowhere near this sector.WinbornThe scum found themselves a way around that little detail. The gangsters brought slicers to access every network node in the sector. They're trying to take over the automated speeder flight paths. They'll cause thousands of mid-air collisions. It'll rain debris on the Senate tower like a meteor storm. No telling how many will die.Barsen'thorGangsters need a motive. They're criminals, not terrorists. They wouldn't do this unless they stood to gain something.WinbornLet's ask them - after we crush their army.Hero of TythonSend a man to warn the Senators. They need to find shelter.WinbornI sent word right before you got here, but there isn't enough time to save everyone. We have to stop this here. The gangsters have armed patrols guarding the network access points. We need to push them back and manually lock down the terminals.Get enough terminals, and we might just pull this off. My men will back you up. Good luck in there. |
Dialog transcript |
WinbornMy men can't believe you took on all those gangsters--and lived. You're a blasted hero, you know that? With the network terminals locked down, the speeder traffic is secure. Now all that's left is pushing out those gangsters for good.MeteorThere was some kind of encrypted message on the network. Looks like a recording.WinbornLet me see that... hmm... it's an old Migrant Merchants' Guild code. Think I can decrypt it.... Here we go.Prakath (RECORDING)You accepted our friendship, Senator Kayl--and credits. It's time you paid us back. All we want are the housing projects you promised our people. Now.Vanara Kayl (RECORDING)Your people will have to wait their turn like everyone else. I owe you nothing. If you continue pushing me, I'll destroy you all.VoidhoundSenator Kayl and the Migrant Merchants' Guild are at war? That's what this was all about?Barsen'thorI can't believe Senator Kayl would deal with gangsters. Could that message be forged?WinbornThe call was placed directly to her office.VoidhoundShould've known Senator Kayl was too good to be true. She's an even bigger crook than I thought.WinbornDoesn't make sense. There's gotta be an explanation.Vanara Kayl (RECORDING)Your extortion attempt has failed. My people are pushing back your little army as we speak. It's over.Prakath (RECORDING)Nobody breaks a deal with us, Senator. We'll have what we want, one way or another.WinbornThis is way above my pay grade. I'm not destroying the reputation of Coruscant's most popular politician. Take the recording. I don't want it.Hero of TythonWhen you wear that uniform, you're upholding the Republic's ideals: freedom, integrity and honesty.WinbornThere's nobody more qualified to handle this than you, Jedi. I know you'll find the truth.VoidhoundA security captain who gives away evidence to complete strangers? How did you get this job?WinbornI follow my conscience. Whatever's happening, there's a reasonable explanation.Senator Kayl has done great things for Coruscant. She's a good woman. Give her a chance. My men and I will stay down here. You should go back to the Senate tower. |

ImoghHow lovely to see you again. Any friend of Senator Kayl's is a friend of mine.Vanara KaylThat will be all, Minister. Dismissed.Captain Winborn contacted me. You thwarted an attack that would've killed thousands. You have my gratitude. Unfortunately, you also have a holorecording I would like destroyed. Its contents will only cause harm.MeteorYou've been lying to everyone, Senator. The only reason those gangsters attacked us was to get at you.Vanara KaylI understand your anger, Lieutenant. But you need to understand - things here are complicated. Many choices only appear foolish in retrospect. At the time, it felt like the right thing to do.My opponent in the elections was a vile man: lazy, stupid and corrupt. He wasn't interested in building, only taking. I had to win. But I didn't possess as much wealth as he did. When those gangsters approached me, I accepted their "donation"- and I'd do it again.MeteorDo you hear yourself? After everything that's happened, you still won't admit to being wrong.I'm not wrong. If you'd witnessed the suffering on this world - the poverty and despair - you'd know that.Don't be naive. Wealth can purchase influence - and influence sways popular opinion. My opponent understood that too well. I stole from those criminals to rebuild Coruscant for its people. Set things right. I'll bring the Migrant Merchants' Guild to justice. You hold the power to ensure my success. Let me finish healing this world. Please destroy that recording.Barsen'thorIf you really love the people of Coruscant, you'll admit what you've done. Let them decide whether or not to forgive you.Vanara KaylYou think I'm dishonest? I'm just a realist - but there's no point arguing it with you. I won't force you to go public. I'll call an emergency meeting in the Senate. Tell them the truth. Let them decide.MeteorCoruscant will be rebuilt, with or without you. We promise to help finish what you've started.Vanara KaylPerhaps you should run for office. I'll see to it you're properly recognized for your heroism in the old Galactic Market.Farewell. |

Satele ShanThis is Republic Emergency Response Corps secure holofrequency "polaris." A crisis on the Outer Rim requires immediate intervention. The Advozse Hegemony have obtained a Republic battle station and are using it for acts of aggressive expansion, conquering entire star systems. I am Satele Shan, Grand Master of the Jedi Council. I coordinate with the Republic Emergency Response Corps during military crises.VoidhoundHow did Advozsec "obtain" our battle station? Did someone leave it unlocked with the keys inside?MeteorI've never heard of this group. What are they after?Satele ShanThey're a xenophobic political faction seeking to expand. Until now, they've been a containable threat.MeteorDoes this emergency take precedence over my and Barsen'thor's main assignments, Master?Satele ShanThe Hegemony must be stopped immediately. Millions of innocent lives are at stake.VoidhoundNo offense, but this sounds like Jedi work to me.Satele ShanDefending the helpless from tyranny is the work of all Republic citizens.During the last war, Republic scientists developed a mobile battle station code-named "Hammer." It bombarded planetary surfaces using asteroids as weapons. Hammer Station was indiscriminately destructive. The project was canceled and its prototype ordered destroyed. We don't know how the Advosze Hegemony now possess it.MeteorWe'll solve that mystery later. The point is, that station could level whole cities.Satele ShanThe planet Skine resisted the Hegemony's demands to surrender. Hammer Station reduced its capital city to ashes two hours ago.VoidhoundMaybe our friends figured out how to construct their own Hammer Station?Satele ShanThey lack the resources to build anything of that magnitude.MeteorWhy do I get the feeling we're about to add "battle station demolitionist" to our resumes?Satele ShanA direct fleet assault would be suicide. Shields are useless against asteroid strikes. The station can target and destroy large vessels easily. But an assault shuttle could evade the asteroids and deliver a commando team to destroy Hammer Station from the inside. We just need volunteers.Hero of TythonThis is what I trained for. We'll bring down that station, whatever it takes.Satele ShanBe careful. The Jedi Order cannot afford to lose you.Barsen'thorViolence is not my way, Master, but destroying that station appears to be our best hope for peace.Satele ShanThe Force is strong in you. Let it guide you to victory.MeteorYou came to the right soldier. I specialize in storming enemy fortresses.Satele ShanAll I ask is that you come back in one piece.VoidhoundI'll do it on one condition: If I die, you build a statue in my honor. Something really impressive - and expensive.Satele ShanAgreed - but I hope we never have need to fulfill that bargain.VoidhoundAnd what happens to that commando team when the station blows up - posthumous medals?Satele ShanOverloading Hammer Station's primary weapon will take time. The boarding party can flee before its detonation.Destroying the station is your main objective, but we need to know how the Hegemony obtained it. Any data you recover could prove useful. Hammer Station has just entered orbit above Saleucami and demanded its surrender. Your assault shuttle is standing by. May the Force be with you. |

Hero of TythonHammer Station is destroyed, Master Satele.Satele ShanThe people of Saleucami and the other conquered worlds send their gratitude. The enemy has retreated to their home system. The Hegemony is no longer a threat. This is a time to heal our losses.Barsen'thorThose conquered worlds will need help rebuilding.Satele ShanRelief ships are already en route with food and medicine. Thanks to you, we know how Hammer Station survived destruction. Years ago, its autopilot was set to fly the station into a nearby star. According to the data you recovered, a mechanical failure cut the station's engines just short of its final destination. Advozsec salvagers discovered it several months ago.MeteorThe salvagers towed Hammer Station back to Hegemony space and gave its government the weapon they'd always wanted.Satele ShanIn the end, the responsibility lies with the Republic. We should never have built such a terrible weapon.VoidhoundDidn't anyone from the Republic bother to make sure that the station was destroyed?Satele ShanThe failure occurred beyond our sensor readings. It took years for Hammer Station to drift where the Advozsec salvagers could detect it. The Senate Security Committee will decide what to do about this incident - but in my experience, truth is always best. Regardless, your valiant efforts will be remembered. Take care - and may the Force be with you. |

Attros FinnI'm sorry you had to see that. I'm Attros Finn, the researcher here; we must get to work finding a cure.Barsen'thorWho is "Parkanas"? She keeps talking about someone called "Parkanas." Who is that?Attros FinnYou don't know either? Nevermind. A cure is what Yuon really needs.Barsen'thorIs Yuon going to be okay?Attros FinnI wish I could tell you, but Yuon's illness is... it's unlike anything I've ever seen. The problem is that the greatest collection of learning in the galaxy - the Jedi Temple here on Coruscant - has lain in ruins since the war. I believe the answer to curing Yuon is in the archives of the temple ruins. But accessing them won't be easy.Barsen'thorIf it will help Yuon, I'll get us the information.Attros FinnThe wisdom and personalities of the order's greatest Masters were imprinted on these guides, which they called Noetikons.Barsen'thorLet's find them, then.Attros FinnUnfortunately, we... don't have the Noetikons, not anymore.Barsen'thorThese Noetikons formed a sort of virtual Jedi Council?Attros FinnThat's exactly it - and I need your help to recover them. The temple ruins were looted; the Noetikons were taken. I have a lead on one of them--but, it's not in friendly hands.Barsen'thorTo help Yuon, we face anyone.Attros FinnRepublic security spotted some Gand scavengers carrying a Noetikon, in the Migrant Merchants' Guild. The Republic brought one of the Gand in for questioning, but he won't talk.Barsen'thorBeing taken in by security must be quite intimidating. Maybe he'll speak to a Jedi.Attros FinnThe Republic officer you want is Alec Efran. He's at the security outpost with the Gand right now. And I'm working on a lead for the second Noetikon. I should have something by the time you get back. Good luck! |

Alec EfranJedi! Welcome- welcome to the, uh, old Galactic Market, uh, sir.Qyzen FessHmph. Soft thing can barely speak.Alec EfranI'm sorry, I just- I never met a real Jedi up close.Barsen'thorI'm a person, just like you. With respect, I'm here about your prisoner.Alec EfranThis is the, uh, Gand we brought in. He was talking about that Jedi "holocron" you're all looking for. But he's not exactly, uh, talkative.Qyzen FessSadness to have been captured. Should have fought harder.Gand ScavengerThis Gand won't speak to you or to anyone.Barsen'thorYou refer to yourself as "Gand." How interesting.Gand ScavengerThe Gand do not speak their names except when they have earned it. This Gand has not earned it.Barsen'thorThis is your chance to distinguish yourself - help me save a dying woman by telling me where the special holocron is.Gand ScavengerThis Gand would like to earn his name... but he has no wish to betray his fellow Gand.Barsen'thorI promise no harm will come to the Gand.Gand ScavengerAll right. This Gand guesses that he has no choice. He'll tell you what he knows. The man called Lars Baddeg brought the holocron to the Gand's leader, Aulus G'luun, and told him to keep it safe.Barsen'thorWho is this "Lars Baddeg"?Gand ScavengerThis Gand doesn't know. He only knows the orders Aulus G'luun has given. Aulus G'luun has ordered the Gand to keep the holocron away from the Jedi. Some days, Aulus G'luun holds it; some days, the ones who have earned one name; and some days, cowards like this Gand.Barsen'thorIs there some sort of schedule that determines who holds it?Gand ScavengerThis Gand doesn't know. There is no schedule. The signal device in the market tells the Gand when to move the holocron and where. This Gand has heard that one of the signals is for Aulus G'luun himself. The holocron always changes hands behind the warehouse. This Gand doesn't know the signals, only that when the first signal is raised, the Gand meet behind the warehouse and he sometimes gets the holocron.Barsen'thorSo I must light the signal, then go to the warehouse. I appreciate your help.Alec EfranI'll bet the signals have something to do with the Gand hierarchy. Throw up the right one, and you'll get their leader.Gand ScavengerYes. Please don't tell anyone what this Gand told you. |

Aulus G'luunYou think you are clever for fooling Aulus G'luun and the rest of the Gand?Qyzen FessShould mind temper, Gand.Aulus G'luunHe will not break his promise to Lars Baddeg or to his brothers - to keep the holocron from the Jedi.Barsen'thorLars Baddeg is a criminal. He stole the holocron from the Jedi.Aulus G'luunYou speak of laws. The Republic's laws have no respect for the Gand culture or traditions. Their barricade has trapped the Gand here like animals, among the criminals of the Migrant Merchants' Guild.Barsen'thorWill you give me the holocron if I promise to get the barricade removed?Aulus G'luunLars Baddeg promised the same thing to the Gand... but he has not kept his promise yet. Why should Aulus G'luun trust anyone who is not a Gand?Barsen'thorYou're stuck behind this barricade. You can only gain by trusting me.Aulus G'luunIt is true that Aulus G'luun is out of alternatives for the Gand. But he must be sure. Aulus G'luun will go to the Republic officer at the barricade, with your promise. He will see for himself. You are a truer friend to the Gand than Lars Baddeg. The holocron is yours. May you always conquer your enemies. |

Arca JethThe fractal structure requires that it be removed from the-Vandar TokareWith all respect, Master Arca, you are incorrect. The structure only appears fractal. If you view it through the lens of the Force....Tharis OrneI don't suppose either of you is going to move past your petty geometrical squabble long enough to notice we have a visitor.Barsen'thorSorry to disturb such illustrious Masters, but I am in need of information.Tharis OrneNo need to apologize, Jedi. They have a tendency to get carried away. The last person to use the Noetikon got so tired of hearing these two yammer he shut us down. It was a mercy.Arca JethWait, Master Tharis. Where is the Jedi Temple? We seem to have been moved.Barsen'thorThe temple has been destroyed, and its contents ransacked. Awareness, personality... I've seen similar holograms, but nothing as sophisticated as this Noetikon.Vandar TokareIt is more like a virtual intelligence than a holographic recording. Master Tharis developed it.Tharis OrneYou are too generous, Master Vandar. It was Master Arca who implemented my sketches.Arca JethIt seems much has changed since we were last activated, and not for the better.Barsen'thorThe Jedi Temple was not the only thing hit, and the Jedi have had their hands full rebuilding Coruscant.Vandar TokareI understand. Difficult times require difficult choices.Barsen'thorMasters, I've come seeking help for my own Master, Yuon Par. She's suffering a mysterious illness.Vandar TokareHow terrible. Come, tell us her symptoms. Perhaps we can help.Arca JethSo she claims "the darkness is coming," and talks of someone called "Parkanas." And her mind is most affected... hmm.Tharis OrneI'm afraid we've plied our extensive knowledge of biological, chemical and technological diseases, but this illness is beyond us.Barsen'thorWhere do we go from here?Vandar TokareSometimes knowledge comes through ruling out false ideas.Arca JethFor once, Master Vandar and I agree. Yuon's illness is definitely not medical. But we have accessed files that bear cross-checking. If you can find the Noetikon of Light, where Masters Noab, Nomi and Wole guard the Jedi Order's mystical knowledge, they may be able to help.Barsen'thorI appreciate your advice.Arca JethI'm sorry we couldn't have been of more help - but it's difficult without the other parts of the Noetikon.Vandar TokareFind the Noetikon of Light and seek your answer there. May the Force be with you - and remember, if you seek answers, you must always ask questions. |

HeerimusI greet you on behalf of the great and noble Senator Doli-bur Barc. I have the honor of being his senior page. The Senator sent me as his representative, though he'd prefer to be here himself. He loves to walk among his peopleVoidhoundIf your Senator wanted to be here, he'd be here.HeerimusOh, he does. He stopped here on his way to the spaceport last year. He even waved at some of his admirers.Today, the Senator sent me to find brave and loyal citizens to help with a security crisis. It involves his work to restore the Republic to glory by re-establishing our technological superiority.Hero of TythonWe should strive for balance, not domination.HeerimusExactly, and Senator Barc's bold vision is to see the balance returned.MeteorThat's all very nice, but what's the crisis?HeerimusI was just getting to that.Recently, the Senator arranged to acquire a shipment of computer chips - advanced hardware that could create whole new industries for the Republic.Unfortunately, the shipment was hijacked by the Migrant Merchants' Guild. Now, Republic security is afraid to take on the guild's thugs.VoidhoundYou're looking for outside help?HeerimusExactly. The Senator says this issue is really over security's head anyways.Recovering the shipment of chips from the guild would be a great service to Senator Barc and the Republic.VoidhoundIs Senator Barc paying for this?HeerimusYes, of course, your fee. In his generosity, the Senator has promised to personally reward anyone who helps. To find out where the guild has hidden the Senator's shipment, you'll have to speak with Security Captain Denal-zon - he ran the investigation. Then return the shipment to Senator Barc's office in the Senate tower. I'm sure he'll want to thank you personally. |
Dialog transcript |
Denal-ZonIn accordance with Security Force Regulation 11-95, conversations with non-security personnel are to be kept to a minimum. Let's make this quick.I'm Captain Denal-zon. Senator Barc's page "ordered" me to give you information regarding the Senator's stolen goods.MeteorWhere can we find the shipment?Denal-ZonLook, I don't work for him. If you want that information, we're gonna have to come to an understanding. We'll see. Under Security Appropriations Policy B-71, I am allowed to share classified information - if you're working for us.Did the Senator's crony tell you where the shipment came from, or what these computer chips are for?Barsen'thorNow that you mention it, he didn't explain anything about the chips.Denal-ZonI'm not surprised. These political types like to gloss over details. The chips are from the planet Ryloth. They're designed to operate remote control slave collars.Under Republic Law 44-12, Rylothian slave collars and the chips used to make them are illegal in Republic space - even for Senators.MeteorWhy would a Senator need chips for slave collars?Denal-ZonTo be honest, I don't know - but it really doesn't change anything. The law is the law.VoidhoundBarc must be aware of the laws.Denal-ZonSure. He just doesn't think they apply to him. The fact is, possession of those chips is against the law.Our immediate problem is that these slave collar chips are spread around the Migrant Merchants' Guild headquarters.First priority is get the shipment together again. After that, bring the chips back to me and I'll make sure they're destroyed.Hero of TythonThat sounds like the right thing to do.Denal-ZonIt's the only thing to do.MeteorDo you intend to prosecute Senator Barc for this?Denal-ZonNot up to me. My superiors will decide how to proceed with the case.VoidhoundAre you offering a reward?Denal-ZonI can offer you the standard rate. The Senator's probably offering more, but it'll be dirty money.Find the chips and get out of the guild warehouse. Once you've got everything, I suggest you let us deal with the shipment - not the Senator. |
Dialog transcript |
Denal-ZonLook what the wampa dragged in. I was beginning to wonder if I'd see you again. Did you get the shipment of slave collar chips?Barsen'thorThey're all yours. Take these chips and destroy them, Captain.Denal-ZonOh, I will. Senator Barc'll be disappointed, but the law is the law... even for Senators. I know he probably offered more, but I can at least give you the standard rate for your work.I'd like to give more, but Security Personnel Regulation A-76 only authorizes so much for an operation like this one.MeteorWe're just glad we found them before Senator Barc did.Denal-ZonI'm with you on that. To be honest, I can't think of a more detestable technology.I've got a lot of datawork to do now. We don't want the Senator finding any fault with the way this was handled--but you've got my thanks. |

The Migrant Merchants' Guild claims to protect us, but all they do is exploit us!Now the guild has kidnapped my mate Ria and put her to work as an entertainer. Ria! Forced to dance for the pleasure of scoundrels!VoidhoundWhy did the guild kidnap your mate?Nik DeleruBecause I failed to make my "protection" payments. And as you can see, Republic security couldn't care less. The guild does whatever it wishes. They are worse than Hutts! Given Republic security's apathy, what is an honest merchant to do?MalOh for goodness sake, Nik! But Gambo doesn't talk, except with his fists.Meteor If an attack fails, you don't keep using it.AnstissStrategy for security officers is pretty much limited to shock sticks and neural bands. Spirakris ZaremHello, patriot. I hope you remain dedicated to the protection of the true Republic. It's fantastic, isn't it? I mean the Senate tower. I was raised there. My father was an admiral and my mother was a Senator, but they were both killed during the war.Barsen'thorThat's tragic. I'm sorry to hear it.Spirakris ZaremDon't be. They gave their lives to protect this great Republic.I'm sorry - my name is Spirakris Zarem. I used to be military, then a diplomat. But not anymore. Now, I represent a group of loyal citizens, willing to go to any length to protect the true Republic from its enemies.MeteorWhat exactly is the "true Republic"?Spirakris ZaremThe true Republic is the one based on ideals - on the principles that carried us through history. Until now. I won't lie to you. The members of my organization prefer to remain anonymous, but we are patriots from all levels of society. Dangerous radicals are about to make a massive power play in the Senate. Senator Glearius Parvil is gathering support to break ties with the Jedi and establish an alliance with the Sith Empire.Hero of TythonWhy would the Republic break ties with the Jedi?Spirakris ZaremBecause your order would never agree to an alliance with the Empire, and that's what the Senator wants. And Parvil actually believes he's trying to save the Republic.MeteorSeems like everybody's jumping ship these days.Spirakris ZaremNo doubt. First it was just some fringe star systems, but now it's happening a lot closer to home.VoidhoundCan't say I'd want to worry about Imperial law enforcement....Spirakris ZaremNo. I imagine not, Captain. So I hope you can help.If the Senator gets his way, it would mean the end of everything the Republic stands for. My colleagues discovered a way to expose Parvil's plan to the public; turn the political tide against this insanity. But our one shot's about to pass us by. Parvil's put us all on Senate security's watch list. We can't even get near the tower.MeteorYou said "your one shot." You have an idea....Spirakris ZaremYou mean you might actually be willing to help us?A diplomatic parcel is being delivered to Senator Parvil's office. All you'd have to do is steal the parcel and smuggle it out to me. Will you do it?Hero of TythonOur duty is to serve the Senators, not steal from them.Spirakris ZaremYou'll be serving the Empire if Senator Parvil gets his way. You must stop him.VoidhoundSounds like a good way to get myself killed.Spirakris ZaremNot at all. We have a plan in place. The risk is minimal. We can reward you for your help. I don't know if that changes anything... A courier droid is delivering the documents to Senator Parvil. Use this scrambler box and it'll hand the parcel to you. Just intercept it before it reaches his office. I'll be waiting here. |
Dialog transcript |
Senator Parvil's PageStop right there! I see what you're doing. How dare you accost the Senator's courier droid? Stealing documents - what's the matter with you? This is the heart of the Republic, the greatest bastion of democracy in the galaxy!VoidhoundI don't know what you're talking about.Senator Parvil's PageDon't lie! We both know you came here to sabotage Senator Parvil's work. I know you people and your drivel about protecting the "true" Republic. However unpopular Senator Parvil's ideas might be, the principles of the Republic give him the freedom to express those ideas.Hero of TythonThe Senator's ideas would destroy the Republic.Senator Parvil's PageYou don't speak for the Republic, Jedi. Your own order's outdated ideals cause more harm than good.MeteorYou mean let a traitor spread his lies? Not in my Republic.Senator Parvil's PageListen to yourself. This is "our" Republic, not "yours."VoidhoundAnd I have the freedom to stop him.Senator Parvil's PageNot according to the laws of the Republic, you don't. Your opinion of Senator Parvil's ideas doesn't matter. The issues should be decided by political discourse, not political sabotage.Barsen'thorI suppose.Senator Parvil's PageExactly. Thank you. If you take the Senator's documents, you spit on everything the Republic stands for. But... the real culprits here are the paranoid fanatics you've gotten yourself tangled up with.VoidhoundWe don't even know who they are.Senator Parvil's PageWhich is precisely why you should feel no allegiance to them whatsoever. Senator Parvil has every right to exercise his political ideas. It would be criminal to steal his parcel. I have this parcel of out-dated agricultural revenue documents. Give me the Senator's parcel and take these to your friends instead.MeteorAll right, The Senator can continue... for now. We'll take back the fakes. |
Dialog transcript |
Spirakris ZaremThere you are. I was beginning to worry Senate security was causing you trouble. How did it go? Did you get Parvil's documents?Hero of TythonThere was a complication - a Senate page found me.Spirakris ZaremIt doesn't matter. So long as you have the evidence we need. I'm glad you pulled it off. You deserve a medal for this, you know. Rest easy knowing Senator Parvil's motion will never pass.MeteorThat was a one-time deal.Spirakris ZaremWhether you're proud of it or not, you are a hero of the true Republic. |

Pat-aKSenator, please comprehend. Repairing Coruscant's infrastructure is green obtuse. To form the red parallel, we require a black bisector.OrandaUh, this is pointless. I can't understand a word you're saying.Pat-aKI use mistaken words and request patience. This will be clearer. The lower levels are alarming and filled with casualties. Active collaborators can solve problems.OrandaExcuse me. Can any of you tell what this ambassador droid is trying to say?Hero of TythonAmbassador droid? Aren't ambassadors usually organic?OrandaThis is an unusual situation. I'm Senator Oranda. From Agamar. Small agricultural world with no real pull in the Senate, trying to change that by helping get Coruscant running again. This is Pat-aK, from the Gree enclave. Before you ask, the Gree are a remote people, isolationist. They helped build Coruscant's original infrastructure. We asked for assistance with repairs, they sent the droids.MeteorWhat sort of infrastructure needs repairing?OrandaPower, water and waste reprocessing. Things this world needs to survive. The war left a lot of Coruscant in bad shape.Pat-aKThe enclave bargains resources and offers reversal of Coruscant's yellow concave. We commit to white vertex to achieve this.OrandaGree droids seem to speak in Gree patterns. So this gibberish is what I've got to rebuild Coruscant with.Pat-aKI speak attentively in hopes of comprehension. The bargain encounters great challenges. My delegates suffer assault effecting the maintenance. Fire, damage and fear. Do you follow?Barsen'thorThere's something threatening stopping you from doing your job? Pat-aKThat is an approximate understanding, yes. Your comprehension is high. My delegates comprehend your terms too well. They reject transit beyond this tower.OrandaCoruscant needs these repairs to continue functioning. Pat-aK, you have to convince your delegates to brave these dangers.Pat-aKImpossible. My delegates require aid from one accustomed to fire, damage and chaos. A black bisector, you see?MeteorLet us help your delegates.Hero of TythonThis is dangerous work - Jedi work.Pat-aKJedi? Ah! Even Gree comprehend this nature. Jedi are black bisector and red equilateral at once.And... I sense-soak-perceive you are one of these elite. You radiate experience of green-yellow-white perpendiculars.I observe you embody deliberate facetiousness, a black bisector survival trait. Exceptional.OrandaListen, the ambassador droid seems to like you. If you're willing to take on the risk to complete these repairs, it could mean everything to Coruscant.Pat-aKI will compensate the black bisector with useful and valued items only available from the enclave. My delegates will describe their black spheres for you. These are bold, courageous, mission-callings. Speak to them and learn. |
Dialog transcript |
Pat-aKThe black bisector returns prosperous, and we form the red parallel, Senator Oranda. The Enclave-Republic bargain evolves achievement.OrandaSo you succeeded? You really helped all the Gree, uh, "delegates" complete their repairs to the infrastructure?Barsen'thorEventually, yes.Pat-aKThe enclave delivers its promised Gree ingenuity, Senator. Coruscant acquires purple equilateral, and the enclave requests Republic reciprocity.OrandaAmbassador droid Pat-aK, the Republic has other damaged worlds that could benefit from your "Gree ingenuity." I propose drafting a formal treaty between the Republic and the Gree enclave. What do you say to that?Pat-aKYou seek a blue parallel with the enclave? I am astonished-gratified-challenged by the prospect. Let us initiate renewed white vertex at once!Hero of TythonI'm glad to have aided the formation of this new alliance.OrandaBy your actions, we see that Gree technology will be invaluable as we rebuild the rest of the Republic.VoidhoundI see you've finally broken the language barrier.OrandaI swear, sometimes he uses the same phrase to mean completely different things, but I'm getting the hang of it. You have my thanks for all your efforts. I had almost given up on these droids before you came along. That would have been a costly mistake.Pat-aKAcknowledgment and profound tribute, black bisector. This collaboration achieves through you. |

Nam-aKNever going back... never going back to blue nonagon. Now, I am yellow concave. Injuries mark my chassis forever, and why? Ungrateful humans!MeteorHow were you damaged?Nam-aKFire, smoke, blades. The occupants of level below committed numerous assaults. My safe return was improbable. It is blue nonagon and horrible. Never going back.Coruscant's life-waters are sluggish-stagnant. Pat-aK commanded me, go to the level below, repair the broken hydrosupply, make clean life-waters flow. I crafted a solution to achieve Pat-aK's command. All was orange sphere, until I arrived at the level below. Then, green perpendicular!Barsen'thorHow were you going to fix the hydrosupply?Nam-aKI crafted a durable object of Gree ingenuity, perfectly-aligned for the needed maintenance. Pat-aK failed to impart the lethal conflict-enemies waiting on the level below. Many weapons and offenders despising my arrival. I fled Black Sun with my crafted solution intact, but the repair progresses unresolved. Coruscant's life-waters remain sluggish-stagnant without repairs. The hydrosupply must have my crafted solution.Hero of TythonCan I take your crafted solution to the hydrosupply?Nam-aKYou offer yourself as a black bisector? That is a gratifying unpredicted announcement! I pledge to provide items of Gree ingenuity in return. Take and apply my crafted solution to the hydrosupply. But do not apply before deactivating nearby flow-valves, or pressure-explosion-death will result! Be alerted, Black Sun green perpendicular will provide onslaught. May you experience blue tangent and return intact.... |
Dialog transcript |
WaarinHey, what are you doing? Get away from that! Back off! This is our hydrosupply, and we like it broken. Now get lost.VoidhoundWhat are you kids doing here?WaarinWe live here. Who do you think you are, stomping in here like this? We need this water. We don't have any money, and there's nowhere else in the district to get water for free. We'll die if it gets shut off.MeteorWhat happened to your parents?WaarinThey died in the war, all right? We're on our own now.Hero of TythonI gave my word as a Jedi to repair this device.Hero of TythonYou're a Jedi? Aren't you supposed to help people?Barsen'thorMany more will die if the hydrosupply is not repaired.WaarinNobody cares about us, why should we care?VoidhoundYou can always get by if you've got five fingers, kid.WaarinI've stolen stuff before, but I hate it. Everybody I take things from is poor like us.MeteorIf I gave you some credits, would you be able to find a new place to go?WaarinYeah, that'd be a start. It'll take a lot, though. Are you gonna give us enough?MeteorThis should take care of you and your friends.WaarinWhoa! I've never even seen that many credits before. We can trade for a long time with these. Thanks! |
Dialog transcript |
Nam-aKAll Coruscant systems indicate clean life-waters flow upward. You flawlessly applied my crafted solution to the hydrosupply at the Black Sun level below. Adulation!Barsen'thorA group of children was collecting water from the broken hydrosupply and trading it.Nam-aKA faulty hydrosupply is not suited for immature life cycles. Sealing the break promotes their safety.Clean life-waters flow and nurture upper levels. The Coruscant sufferer-beings achieve benefits of the enclave's Gree ingenuity. My black sphere evolves to a purple parallel because of you. When I impart this development, Pat-aK will progress enthusiasm with the Senator.Hero of TythonWe're glad life on Coruscant will be better now.Nam-aKThe city-planet's infrastructure expresses elementary designs. Additional upgrading is sternly recommended.I pledged you a piece of Gree ingenuity. This solution was crafted specifically for your being. My acknowledgment and appreciations.I continue upgrading Coruscant systems and ensure the clean life-waters flow upward. Accept my unyielding gratefulness. |

VoidhoundThat was a fairly unsubtle attempt to get my attention.Nalrin DaheelOh, but I represent the Republic. Senator Nalrin Daheel, representative of the wisdom and beauty of the Ugnaught people. And I've heard you're a friend to our interests. I thought you might help me out. That is Senator Gunaray Dod. The great lout is more than ugly. He's corrupt right up to those tiny ears. He's been paying the Black Sun to harass his political opponents and has blocked all attempts to curb their violence. But I can make no formal accusation without proof.MeteorIf this is true, it is our duty to unveil this corruption.Nalrin DaheelYour honesty provides you the dignity of an Ugnaught.Dod is paying the Black Sun with Kavin bills, an ancient currency from his homeworld that is almost never found elsewhere. If you find Black Sun thugs in possession of these bills, it is all I need. And no one would mourn if your search cleared our streets of gangsters. Bring me any Kavin bills you find. I will see you rewarded with far more than their worth in credits. |

Attros FinnGood, you're back! Did you find it - the first Noetikon?Barsen'thorI talked to the Noetikon's Masters. They had advice, but no definitive cure.Attros FinnYou actually spoke to them? Amazing. At least we're on the right track.Barsen'thorHow's my master? Is she alright?Attros FinnYuon's resting right now; no more outbursts. But the Noetikons are still our best hope.I have a solid lead on the second Noetikon. Unfortunately, it's in Black Sun territory. They're a local gang, pretty vicious.Barsen'thorWhat would street thugs do with a Jedi artifact?Attros FinnI'm not sure. This whole situation is odd.PharenMy sister works at the Silent Sun cantina. She says the Black Sun has turned the cantina's back rooms into some secret warehouse. There's shipments going in - my sister saw the Noetikon in one of them. But no shipments are going out again.Barsen'thorThank you, Pharen.PharenI'll give you directions to the Silent Sun cantina; please, be careful. Those Black Sun gangsters are vicious. |

Curt WillhamPlease, doc, you gotta help me. I don't want to die!MaerI'm trying to help you. You need to calm down... wait. What's a Jedi doing here?Barsen'thorA Jedi relic may have passed through this warehouse.MaerA relic, you say. Well, unfortunately, I can guess just where it is.Those Black Sun thugs. They call me in to clean up a botched operation, and I find this! They're smuggling contraband offworld--old Jedi junk, data discs - inside people's bodies!Barsen'thorThe Black Sun pay their thugs to carry them, get their stolen relics out and nobody's any the wiser.Curt WillhamA Justicar... those vigilantes from the lower city. One of them paid big to get this stuff offworld quiet-like--especially some "Noetikon." The Justicar's name... he was... Lars something. Lars Baddeg.Barsen'thorLars Baddeg gave the Gand another Noetikon to keep safe. He must be behind all this. You said Lars Baddeg wanted the Noetikon offworld. Has it left Coruscant?Curt WillhamNuhh... no. Not yet. The smugglers... nnnggh... can't get the paperwork to go offworld. They're still here - still hurting....MaerThose smugglers are dying, Jedi. I need that contraband out of them, but I have my hands full here. Can you help?Barsen'thorJust tell me what I need to do. Perhaps one of those smugglers is carrying the relic I need.MaerThe object I found in this man had a magnetic ID tag, which means that the Black Sun must have scanners to identify their smugglers. You should find one in the other room. And grab some medical supplies - maybe we can keep these men alive. |

Noab HulisWelcome, Jedi. It is wonderful to see a face so young pursuing knowledge of the light. You honor us.Barsen'thorMy Master, Yuon Par, is very sick. I'm looking for a way to help her.Noab HulisHow terrible that your occasion for consulting us is so tragic. This is the Noetikon of Light. We are the Masters who devoted their lives to mystical and historical studies.Wole VahnIf you seek learning, we will aid you as best as we can.Nomi SunriderTell us what you know of this affliction, and we will scour our combined knowledge for an answer.......Nomi SunriderThis is most unusual.Noab HulisAnd very troubling.Wole VahnWe've searched our considerable knowledge, and compared data from the Noetikon of Science.Nomi SunriderThis illness you've described - it's more like a kind of mind control.Barsen'thorHow could anyone control the mind of such a powerful Jedi?Nomi SunriderOur understanding of the matter is limited. We truly wish we could be of more help.Wole VahnIt's most like the Jedi trick of persuading weak minds through the Force, except Yuon's tormenter is distant, and her mind hardly weak.Barsen'thorIf someone is doing this to her, how would we locate them?Nomi SunriderWell, you could ask-Wole VahnNo! Nomi! You can't be serious!Noab HulisWhat is the matter, Master Wole? I think Nomi Da-Boda knows best of all of us.Wole VahnI don't dispute her wisdom, but the Noetikon of Secrets is the gateway to dark things. If the mind is not properly prepared to face them--Barsen'thorI will use caution, Master Wole.Wole VahnI suppose we don't really have any other options, do we?Barsen'thorI'll be fine.Wole VahnYou see what I mean?Noab HulisHave compassion, you've heard this Jedi's cause. The Noetikon of Secrets is not dark, though some of its secrets are.Go. Bring what we have discovered to the Noetikon of Secrets. Its Masters will guide you. |

Nurls YorkinHey there, strangers. You look like you know your way around a dock.Agent Yorksin, SIS. Never mind the outfit. I'm undercover. I need help. We've been moving our people into the Finaq Shipping Company for months. We want to stop contraband weapons shipments. Now Black Sun's started hijacking Finaq's freighters - killing the crew and grabbing the cargo. If I send in SIS, our cover is blown - we start all over.MeteorI think we can make a few hijackers regret their choice of career...Nurls YorkinOnce they're taken care of, we need to know where they take the freight.VoidhoundYou need me to bring back the cargo?Nurls YorkinJust let me know where they're taking the freight. I'll send my team. Try checking around the docks - Black Sun's got to have a loader programmed to offload the cargo somewhere secure. |

StansunKeeping Coruscant clean's a dirty job, but it's good to see I've got company. I'm Officer Stansun, Republic security. We're fighting a war against the Black Sun. Wish I could say we're winning. Word has it they're running an illegal surgery clinic, giving wanted criminals new faces. Helps them dodge arrest.MeteorRepublic security should end their operation.StansunWe've tried, but the facility moves shop the second they see our uniforms.More and more dangerous criminals slip through our fingers every day. Unfortunately, they move shop whenever Republic security swoops in. But maybe you could pay this clinic a visit. Smash their illegal surgery droids, pull their patient files. Show them the Republic's still in charge.MeteorBlack Sun's clinic won't operate another day.StansunGood to hear. The sooner we shut them down, the quicker we can clean up Coruscant.Destroy the Black Sun surgery droids then download their patient files. That's all we need to pull the masks off their criminal clients. |
Dialog transcript |
MeteorThe clinic's not taking any more patients. And here are those records you wanted.StansunPerfect. With them, we can ID those face-swapping thugs.Nice work, Lieutenant. Coruscant's going to be a cleaner place thanks to you. Thanks for this. Closing that clinic's a big win for Republic security, and for the people of Coruscant. |

Dooce EvertonDid Lobacc send you? Guess not. Detective Dooce Everton. Senate security hired me to get hard evidence on who's pulling the strings in the Black Sun. Someone they can put behind bars. I was hoping one of my informants sent you.MeteorWhat evidence are you looking for? We might know something.Dooce EvertonThey'll take anything I can give them - names, known hideouts, family members....VoidhoundIs this a paid position? I've done worse.Dooce EvertonI've got a budget. You want to help out, I'm sure I can get the Senate to cover the extra.I've been working a snitch for a while, finally got him ready to give holo-evidence against the heavy hitters in the Black Sun.But he'll only meet on his turf. It's a cantina, worst of the worst, blaster fights every night. I'm known down there and I wouldn't make it back.MeteorI'd like to see one of these thugs take on Havoc Squad.Dooce EvertonThat would be a sight. Almost makes me want to come along. Almost.VoidhoundI think I know that spot - I've got a tab there.Dooce EvertonYou looked like the lower levels might be your stomping grounds.Lobacc should be waiting at these coordinates. I'll call ahead; tell him to expect an... unusual... group. Then you just need to make it out with the recordings before the Black Sun tries to take it off your fresh bleeding corpse. |

VoidhoundI'm here to pick up the recordings you have for Dooce Everton. I'm here to pick up the recordings you have for Dooce Everton.Deringon LobaccYou want to spray paint that on the walls or anything? Little discretion, here!Tell Dooce it's just what he asked for. Enough for the Republic to make arrests, Black Sun, the real stuff. Hope they can make it stick. This is Coruscant... you shouldn't have to be afraid for your life just because you get off the wrong elevator. |
Dialog transcript |
VoidhoundLobacc says the recordings in here should be enough to make arrests.Dooce EvertonPerfect. Perfect. I already talked to the Senate about getting you paid.If this really helps put the Black Sun out of commission, it's blasted priceless. If the violence gets any worse, the Senate's talking about giving up the lower levels altogether. |

TheraguinHey there. Always good to see another brave soul - there aren't many of us left. I'm Captain Theraguin - last officer on the job here since the patrols stopped. Welcome to Black Sun territory.MeteorAre you saying there's no security down here?TheraguinYou kidding me? My commander gave up on this sector a long time ago. I shouldn't even be here. The locals only venture out of their apartments when they have to scrounge for supplies. Now with no security forces, what future do they have? And Black Sun has a new game. Call it "Boom."VoidhoundUh-oh.TheraguinBlack Sun steals Republic supply crates, takes the supplies out, then rigs the crates with explosives. Then they set the trapped crates in the street; make bets on how long before some fool tries to open them.Hero of TythonWhy would anyone do a thing like that?TheraguinI don't know. You want to be charitable, assume Black Sun doesn't think straight.MeteorOnly cowards attack civilian targets.TheraguinYeah. It's one thing when the gangs shoot at us - but killing innocents for fun?Barsen'thorHasn't someone tried to do something?TheraguinThe locals don't know what's going on. And like I said before, security can't patrol here anymore.Barsen'thorIt takes a dark soul to do such a thing.TheraguinDidn't believe it until I saw it with my own eyes - this mousy little woman - blown to pieces.I try to defuse the crates myself - the mechanics are simple, but Black Sun's everywhere. Nearly killed me last time.Hero of TythonWe can handle Black Sun. We want to make things right.TheraguinThat's- thank you. That's just what I needed to hear. Now, Black Sun's explosives are pretty simple. I can show you what to do.Anything you can do... I'll be more than grateful. But be damn careful. |

I'm glad you were here to help. Now, I'm no rich Senator, but let me give you a little something for taking care of this. Recognition.MeteorIt's a generous offer, but we can't accept.VoidhoundLook, I don't normally do charity, but... let's say someone owes me a drink, okay?TheraguinRare to find someone not out to make a profit. You probably have other business, so I won't keep you. FolarisHey. Why don't you hold up a minute? I'm Folaris. I think you and I should have a private chat.VoidhoundYou want to talk, talk fast.Don't worry. It will only take a second. There's a rumor going around that Black Sun's about to clean house. Snitches, rival gang leaders - they're all gonna be dead meat. There's a list of these unfortunate individuals sitting on their computers. I need those names.MeteorSounds to me like you're in law enforcement.FolarisLet's just say I'm interested in what's best for the people of Coruscant.Barsen'thorYou seem to know an awful lot.FolarisAnonymous sources, who need to stay that way. I can slice into Black Sun's computers and get the hit list, but they'll be able to trace me. So, while I'm slicing in, I need someone to break into the Black Sun hideout and shut down their tracing equipment. Think you can do that?VoidhoundDo you really want to put your life in our hands to get this list?FolarisDon't have much choice, do I? I need that list, and I need it yesterday. Time to make this happen. All right... go! Go! |
Dialog transcript |
FolarisWell, since I haven't been visited by any large, angry Black Sun thugs, I take it you got everything taken care of?MeteorOf course it's taken care of.Whew... all right, that's great news. What a relief. Here - something for your trouble. I can't thank you enough for your help. Ha... you know, it's funny. There are people who would pay a frigate-load of credits for this list.MeteorThat list should be going to your superiors!FolarisMaybe so. But they don't pay me nearly enough for the risks I take down here everyday.Hero of TythonSo you had an ulterior motive all along. No, it's nothing like that. I was just thinking, it'd be nice to make a little something extra, wouldn't it?Barsen'thorIf you sell the list, you'll be exposed as the thief.FolarisMaybe, maybe not. There are ways to avoid that kind of attention.MeteorSensitive intel like that could cause havoc in the wrong hands.FolarisIf the list goes public, everyone on it would be warned - and we'd make a tidy profit. I know a guy, Nizkif. He's an "information broker." Nizkif hangs out at the Dealer's Den, a cantina in the old Galactic Market.Hero of TythonThat list should be used to save lives.FolarisYou just don't give in, do you? Ah, you're right, I shouldn't be looking for a quick profit. I'll make sure the list ends up in the right hands. Lives are more important than credits anyhow. See you around, then. DoornLook at this place. Nothing but freeloading tramps. I don't know why we bother. I used to be proud to say, "Lieutenant Doorn, Coruscant Security Forces." These days, it's just a job. Doesn't even pay the bills.MeteorYou should be proud of what you do.DoornRight now, I'm just trying to keep my head above the garbage.VoidhoundSounds like things are rough.DoornYeah, and it just keeps coming. But this is my family's only income. Now some stupid holodisc was stolen, and the commander wants me to deal with it! I don't have the manpower to recover stolen intelligence! I- I can't just pull a commando unit out of my helmet, can I?MeteorYou've got an elite commando unit right here.DoornYou're volunteering? I was probably gonna figure something out, but hey, I'll take you up on that. Here's the deal: You probably don't know 'em, but there're these weird secret passages running all over the planet. Funny thing is, we didn't even know about these passages until the schematics were stolen off an old databank! So they can sneak around the planet and get away with who knows what! But now that the commander's realized they exist, he wants to make use of them. Figures, don't it?But the schematics weren't taken by some gutter thief. They were taken by the blasted Justicars! Crazy vigilantes - the Justicars are armed to the teeth. Most of my security officers just flat-out refuse to tangle with them. We don't get paid enough to stick our necks out too far.Barsen'thorSometimes it's necessary to risk ourselves for the greater good.DoornThat's easy for a Jedi to say. My men don't see fighting the Justicars as a risk, they see it as suicide. My team has some good men, but the Justicars are beyond any of us. Simple as that. There's another detail: We don't know where the Justicars took the stolen schematics. An agent from the Strategic Information Service was assigned to track the thieves, but she hasn't reported back in.MeteorRescuing this spy should be top priority.Take it easy - I'm sure the spy's fine. She just might be able to help you track down the schematics. Her name is Fieler Dan. A little old and a little batty, if you ask me. Fieler's last known location was in Justicar territory. If she's done her job, she should know where to find those schematics.Hero of TythonYou can count on us.DoornNow keep in mind - worthless as they may be, we're under strict orders to make sure these schematics aren't leaked to anyone. So after you find old lady Fieler and recover the schematics, you make sure to bring them directly back to me. That's critical. |
Dialog transcript |
Fieler DanWhat do you want? I'm just an old woman minding her own business. Haven't done nothing to no one.VoidhoundI take it you're the Republic spy?Fieler DanOh, so you're my backup! About time! I'm risking my neck loitering here! Republic security needs to get its act together! Downright insulting this has taken so long!MeteorThe lieutenant said you never contacted him.Fieler DanHe's never heard of "radio silence"? Idiot.Barsen'thorYou must be more patient.Fieler DanDue respect, Jedi, you don't have to deal with Republic security every day. I do.Look, I tracked the data thieves down here, and I'm positive the Justicars took the schematics to their base. Probably to their main computer. You do realize, though, that once you take the schematics back, they'll just gather dust in some security storeroom.Hear me out on this... my daughter runs a relief group called "Undercity Assistance." They bring food and supplies to the poor in the lower levels. These schematics would help them avoid the gangs down here.Hero of TythonI don't see any reason you couldn't copy the maps you need.Fieler DanThat's just what I was thinking. Just bring the holodisc back to me after you get it, and I can make a copy for my daughter.MeteorWe'll do it.Fieler DanYou have all the information I can give. Go pay a visit to the Justicars - and if you want that data put to good use, I'll be here. |
Dialog transcript |
Fieler DanWell now, look here, the hotshot's back after busting into the Justicars' base. Did you find the holodisc, kid? Can I make a copy for my daughter?MeteorHere - make your copy and give it back.Fieler DanI had a good feeling the minute I met you. A quick copy - and there's your holodisc. Easy enough. You remember this: Undercity Assistance will use these secret passages to help people in need.Hero of TythonCoruscant needs all the help it can get right now.Fieler DanNice to work with someone who knows what they're doing. Now take that disc back so security can ignore it again. |
Dialog transcript |
DoornYou've been gone a while - I'm even working overtime. My commander's calling every five minutes, bugging me about those schematics. You get them from the Justicars?MeteorYes.DoornFinally. Here's what I can pay you - plus a little extra for hazard duty. And... can we keep this quiet? Hiring you to get this back makes the rest of us look bad.Hero of TythonThose schematics could be very helpful. Be sure they aren't wasted.DoornWell, my commander's real excited to see these secret passages. But we'll see if he actually follows through. Either way, you spared my team a massive headache and probably even a few casualties. |

Attros FinnThat must have been awful. To fight your own Master... I don't know what came over her. One minute she was placid, and then....Qyzen FessIs fight for life. Call for help.Attros FinnIt's more imperative than ever that we find the Noetikons. Do you have any leads on the third?Barsen'thorI need the Noetikon of Secrets. And both the Gand and Black Sun gave me a name: a Justicar called Lars Baddeg.Attros FinnThe Justicars are self-appointed lawmen that police the lower city. Republic security was stretched thin after the attack, so the Justicars took over. Lars Baddeg is one of their leaders, near the top of the Republic's wanted list.Barsen'thorThanks for the warning.Attros FinnLars Baddeg is known to hole up in the central tower area. Do be careful. I'll take care of Yuon while you're gone. |
Dialog transcript |
Lars BaddegYou've got guts, Jedi. Walking into my base. Stealing two of my Noetikons.Barsen'thorThere are three Noetikons, Baddeg. I know you have the last one.Lars BaddegThey're bargaining chips. My bargaining chips. You've messed everything up. They said I could rule the Justicar territory if I got them the Noetikons. Just one left, and it's theirs.Barsen'thorWho are you talking about?Doesn't matter. This is my only chance.Barsen'thorWhoever "they" are, if you give me the Noetikon, I'll make sure they don't hurt you.Lars BaddegLike you can help me.Qyzen FessIs fool's way to rely on others for strength.Lars BaddegAgh. I already lost two Noetikons--I'm a dead man anyway. Here. Take it. This whole thing was a mistake from the start. |

Master of QuestionsOh thank goodness! A visitor! It gets so lonely in here sometimes. I would offer you a drink- but I ran out millennia ago, by my record. But we could play a game instead.Barsen'thorYou don't look like a Jedi Master. What's going on?Master of QuestionsWell, I'm not a Jedi Master, which would explain your first statement, and as for the second - it's hard to say.Barsen'thorWhat is this place?Master of QuestionsNow, that is a good question, but a difficult one. I'm guessing you activated what looked like some sort of ancient device - a holocron, maybe - and something went wrong. You zigged where you should have zagged, and you ended up here.Barsen'thorI was trying to access the Noetikon of Secrets.Master of QuestionsHmm... nope, can't say that name means a thing to me. But whatever it is, you won't be able to access it in here. And there's only one way out.Well, I suppose I could let you go. But you'd have to play a game with me, first - a game of questions. Answer right, you're free. Answer wrong, and your strength becomes a permanent part of this place.Barsen'thorI don't like the sound of that... but I guess I have no choice.Master of QuestionsNow you're beginning to understand!Master of QuestionsOkay. The first question: How do you catch an answer?Barsen'thorYou lure it out with a question.Master of QuestionsToo obvious I suppose. It's no fun when you get the answer right. Next question: What does the wise person know?Barsen'thorThe wise person does not know, but seeks knowledge, always.Master of QuestionsAnother right answer! You are so dull. Last question: Soon this place will be overrun with enemies. What will you do?Barsen'thorNone of this is real - these enemies will not harm me.Master of QuestionsWrong answer. You are overwhelmed and trampled underfoot. You perish.... |

Lars BaddegI promised, sir. The Jedi won't be a problem anymore. Now your master won't mind about those other Noetikons, right?Mysterious SithHe might not, only it seems your plan was a failure.Lars BaddegWhat the-? B- but look! Jedi's weaker, it did work!Qyzen FessPain is nothing. We still stand.Mysterious SithI would've preferred if our little trap had killed you. Not that it mattered - the Noetikons are nothing on their own anyway. They wouldn't have stopped me or my master.Barsen'thorAre you the one who's making Yuon ill?Mysterious SithYuon? Is that her name? Her weak mind already bows to my master, just as you all will. It's too late for your Master. She crumbles as we speak.Barsen'thorWho's your master, Sith?Mysterious SithMy master is the downfall of the Jedi Order. Baddeg, what are you waiting for? Earn my master's forgiveness - kill this wretch. |

Jesper AltaxBe careful where you walk, Jedi. The path of the dark side intersects with that of the light at many crossroads. This is the Noetikon of Secrets. We are the Masters who have seen the darkness and turned back to the light.Barsen'thorThe other two Noetikons told me you might know something about a Jedi plague. But I'm surprised the order would preserve such dangerous secrets.Bastila ShanDo not be. Having succumbed to the lure of the dark side, we have greater respect for its pull. We would not claim to be immune, but we have come out stronger for our trials.ChammaBut also, we are only imprints, programs with traces of personality. Neither dark nor light have any sway over us now.Bastila ShanIf the Noetikon of Science and the Noetikon of Light had no answers, what makes you think we can help? We are neither doctors nor healers.ChammaPatience, Bastila. What she means, Jedi, is that for you to consult us, this illness must be remarkable indeed.Bastila ShanYes, I'm sorry. Tell us what you know about this illness, and we will see what we can find.Barsen'thorThere's this one phrase.... Yuon keeps repeating the words, "the darkness is coming."It started back on Tython, but we didn't know Yuon was ill until she collapsed.Jesper AltaxYou were right to consult us. It was only those things eliminated by the other Noetikons that put us on track....ChammaIt's an illness the Jedi have seen before, one created by an ancient Sith named Terrak Morrhage. He used it to turn Jedi to the dark side by the hundreds and leech their strength from them. In this way, he waged war on the Jedi.Barsen'thorBut Yuon's the only one who's fallen ill.ChammaAccording to the records, Morrhage's plague spread gradually as well.Barsen'thorHow was he defeated?ChammaA Jedi healer, whose sacrifice, unlike his name, has not been forgotten, developed a shielding technique to release Morrhage's hold on his victims.Bastila ShanOne by one, the healer cut Morrhage off from his army, the source of his strength.Jesper AltaxEach time he used the technique, however, it cost him some of his own strength.ChammaBy the time the battle was won, the healer was weakened beyond the point of recovery. He sacrificed his life to save the Jedi Order.Barsen'thorIs it possible for someone to learn this technique?Jesper AltaxThe ritual is recorded in an ancient terminal in the Jedi Temple. Learning it will require the combined knowledge of all the Noetikons. If you are thinking of learning the technique, Jedi, I would caution you - powers such as these weigh heavily on those who wield them.Bastila ShanBut it seems your Master doesn't have time for caution. For your Master to survive, you must go to the Jedi Temple and learn the ritual as soon as possible.Barsen'thorI will go there as soon as possible.ChammaThen we will do our best to help you learn the technique. Take all three Noetikons to the terminal in the temple and activate them. We will teach you what you must know. Later, others may learn the technique as well - but for now, time is of the essence. |

Hib-R-akOperator units always inherit fouled labors. I administrate as well as Pat-aK, but I am marooned to waste processing! What have I done to incur white acute?Barsen'thorUnhappiness is a sign one has lost one's balance.Hib-R-akMy gyros respond positively. Balance remains stable. Your statement advances nothing.MeteorIs that what you are? An Operator unit?Hib-R-akYou submit curiosity? Bewildering. Foreign species customarily embody flawless self-centeredness. Gree units fulfill four caste-assignments: Crafter, Operator, Researcher and Administrator. I am Operator. I ensure proper function of Gree ingenuity. Pat-aK is Administrator unit. His sole aptitude is communication-command-governance-argument. I can serve Pat-aK's function. Can he serve mine? No!Hero of TythonIf you dislike your assignment so much, why not change to a different one?Hib-R-akMy aptitudes are gray sphere, but the enclave permits only Operator unit assignment. This is inequitable distribution of my aptitudes.VoidhoundHow do you know you can do Pat-aK's job?Hib-R-akI share aptitude for communication-command-governance-argument. Operator caste was compelled to me, not programmed at origin.Pat-aK commanded me: Optimize Coruscant's waste processing system. Preserve your organs from filth-disease-poisons. But Ugnaught porcine-bipeds plunder Gree ingenuity from waste processors. With Gree optimization solution stolen, filth-disease-poisons spread uncontrolled. Plagues imminent!MeteorWhat would Ugnaughts gain from possessing your technology?Hib-R-akMany species attempt access of Gree ingenuity. This is no white convex- ah, mystery-puzzle-labor. The Ugnaught porcine-bipeds plundered Gree optimization solution unaware of internal transmitters. I detect the plundered device's coordinates. Pat-aK authorizes compensation of Republic credits to the black bisector who repossesses the optimization solution.MeteorYou can count on us.Hib-R-akThat is the expected response, black bisector. Why exhaust respiratory functions on it? |

GotrutNo blasters! We got no blasters! It's just a workshop. We're not with those Justicar crazies you been fightin' out there.MeteorCooperate and you won't be harmed. Where's the Gree device?GotrutOh, great. I told you guys we should've left that alien thing where it belonged!Take it, all right? We thought we could make it work, but we can't. We'll have to find some other way to save everyone on this level.MeteorAre the people on this level in some kind of danger?GotrutYes. We're not thieves, we're engineers. We work to keep this area clean and safe, but it's gettin' harder every day to do that. People here count on us for essential services. We give them power and light. The Gree stuff is all yours, don't worry. We never woulda taken it if we weren't in such a hopeless situation. This level's got a big problem we can't fix. The air filters stopped working. The Senate won't send anybody to make repairs, and things are gettin' bad. We got too many people living in the same area.Barsen'thorThis is Coruscant. Why wouldn't the Senate help with repairs?GotrutThey don't bother keepin' any of our major systems running. Why should they, when the Justicars won't let 'em in?VoidhoundIt sounds like it's time to find a new home.GotrutCoruscant's always been our home. We're all here because we believe in the Republic. Can't you understand that?Without our air filters, the smog seeps in fast, which is even harder on the non-humanoids. Pretty soon we're gonna have an epidemic on our hands.Hero of TythonThere must be some way to avoid that outcome.GotrutThat's what we keep tellin' ourselves, but so far we've come up empty. If we get our air filters workin', you'll never hear from us again. I know I'm askin' a lot, but will you tell the Gree about us? Maybe ask them to show us how to fix things up? Please?Barsen'thorWe'll tell the Gree representatives about your situation.GotrutYou don't know what this means to us. You're savin' innocent lives. Here, this datapad's got stuff about us the Gree will wanna know. Schematics of what we're workin' on, our repair manuals, all that stuff. Just show it to them. It'll explain everything about our situation. |

Hib-R-akInternal transmitters reveal you convey the optimization solution to me. I also scan a crude Ugnaught porcine-biped proposal of collaboration. Curious.Hero of TythonI think you'll find that datapad worth reading.Hib-R-akThe Ugnaught porcine-bipeds submit esteem for my efforts and honor my faculties. This is unforeseen pleasantness.VoidhoundThis is a great opportunity to show your skills as an Administrator unit.Hib-R-akThis unlikely collaboration acknowledges my true aptitude. What a purple tangent, to achieve astounding me this way. With this optimization solution repossessed, Coruscant's waste processors revive. Filth-disease-poison levels recede, plague outbreaks averted. All resolves to purple parallel. |

JaffkeeHey, you- hold up. No, no, don't look at me, just look casual. Act like you're not talking to anyone. My name's Jaffkee. I'm with Republic security. Is the street clear? Any Justicar patrols?VoidhoundAre you always this jumpy?JaffkeeI am when I'm in a place like this! I already tangled with the Justicars. Trust me, you don't want to underestimate these guys. I'm supposed to disrupt the Justicars' signal jammers, so Republic security can run some useful surveillance on these guys.VoidhoundIf you survived, the Justicars can't be that tough.JaffkeeI'm only alive because I ran. Hard.Republic security was actually excited about the Justicars at first. A bunch of ex-military guys forming a militia to take back the streets!MeteorYou can never rely on militias, agent - even ex-military.JaffkeeRepublic security hoped the Justicars would work alongside our officers - bring order to Coruscant's lower levels. But they pushed out Republic forces just like they did the criminals. They keep the peace down here, but they definitely aren't on the Republic's side.MeteorThen whose side are they on? If the Justicars aren't working with the Republic, then who are they working with?JaffkeeNo clue. They pushed out Black Sun and the other criminal groups, but their goals are still a mystery.Hero of TythonYou were sent to find out more about the Justicars, right?JaffkeeUh, not exactly. We've tried to run surveillance on their activities, but their signal jammers block every attempt. I thought disrupting the jammers would be easy, but the Justicar patrols are everywhere.MeteorObjectives don't complete themselves, agent.JaffkeeI just... I really hate to let everyone down like this. They were counting on me. You definitely look like you can handle the job... better than I could, anyway.I built the devices to disrupt the Justicars' jammers. They just need to be installed - can you do that for me?Barsen'thorWe'll take the devices and place them for you.JaffkeeThank you so much! Here, take the devices. They need to be planted at several points around the district. That's the tricky part--Justicar patrols are everywhere. Once you've planted the devices, make your way back. Good luck, and... thanks. |
Dialog transcript |
JaffkeeYou're back! Thank goodness. Did you get all the devices in place?MeteorYes, it's done. The devices are all in place. All right, let's see if these things work. They're booting up now... synchronizing and....It's working! The frequencies are all clearing, one by one! This is fantastic!MeteorWill you be able to conduct your surveillance?JaffkeeWhat? Oh, yes, definitely. The air couldn't be clearer.I'll notify headquarters that the jammers are down. Thanks again for your help - this mission would have been a complete failure without you. |

Renalda AgarethEx- excuse me. You don't look like a Justicar. I hope.... The Justicars say they're protecting us from the Black Sun, that they're better than the gangs - but they're not! I hate them! You're... you're really not one, right? I don't want to get in trouble. Like Braedon did.Hero of TythonWho's Braedon? Are you asking for my help?MeteorWe're not from Coruscant. We're not in any of the gangs.Renalda AgarethPlease, can you help me rescue Braedon? He's my brother. He's only fifteen, but they think he's older. They say they "indentured" him because he broke one of their stupid curfew laws. So they lock him up all day and make him shoot the Black Sun all night. He's going to die They're going to send me offworld! They say Braedon doesn't need any distractions!MeteorDon't worry. We'll get your brother back.Renalda AgarethPop always told us to trust soldiers, but I wasn't sure... after the Justicars.... Thank you.Hero of TythonWho exactly has your brother?Renalda AgarethThey're, I don't know, cops or soldiers or something. But they act like just another gang. Please help me! To get to Braedon, you'll need some special belt they all wear. It's the only way to get past the security field where Braedon is. Please, please bring him back to me! |

MeteorYour sister sent us. You're free.Braedon AgarethRennie? But she's... she's a little girl. How could she...? And why? Oh, now they're going to kill me! Quick, can you, uh, put that back... um, get it working again or something?Hero of TythonYou want to be the Justicars' captive?Braedon AgarethI can't escape. As long as the Justicars have me in their records as a curfew-breaker, they'll just hunt me down again. And if they get me for going AWOL, they'll use torture! Unless....Look, if you really want to help, go into their computers and delete my file. I'll hide out somewhere. When things die down, I'll find Rennie again. |

Barsen'thorYour brother is free. He says he will find you as soon as it's safe.Renalda AgarethR- really? The Justicars were saying he'd been killed. But he's alive? Really? Thank you! Thank you! You're my second-best friend in the whole world! |

Luran GonthorYou look strong, armed for a fight. Maybe I can interest you in restoring some law and order down here.Name's Luran Gonthor, president of Gonthor Industries. Finest custom metalwork on Coruscant. Least we used to be before the Sacking. Once the attack began, I went off the grid, lost my connection to the upper levels. Took elbow grease to stay afloat. Did well until those Justicars arrived. They took over my shop and kicked me into the street!MeteorJusticars give the Republic a bad name.Luran GonthorMaybe you can show 'em how a real patriot fights. The Senate and such won't help; they don't want to face the Justicars. Also, they say they've got no record that it's my shop. Of course those records are long gone, blown away during the Sacking of Coruscant. Only proof I have now is the deed--and that's inside my old shop. If you get it, I can force the Senate to push the Justicars out.Hero of TythonYour company will be back on its feet in no time.Luran GonthorGlad to hear it! You'll always have a friend in Gonthor Industries! Here's my personal security card. It's got an access code that will get you inside my vault. Once you're in, grab the deed and run. |

Reid GandonWelcome to Justicar territory, citizen. Nice to see a friendly face. Agent Reid Gandon, Strategic Information Service. Notice anything odd down here? Like how quickly the Justicars took control?reid_ganden: Weapons and armor don't just materialize out of thin air. The Justicars have a supplier, and it isn't the Republic. You follow?Hero of TythonYou suspect the Justicars of illegal trade?Reid GandonAnd worse. Black market goods are one thing, but trading with the Empire is treason. The Justicars were supposedly formed by Republic citizens. Fear and martial law's not how the Republic operates.MeteorWhere else can the Justicars get what they need?Reid GandonIf not legally from the Republic, there's a few options - the Exchange, separatists, even the Empire. But as ruthless as they've become, the Justicars are keeping the Black Sun at bay. So, Republic security won't move on this without proof.Whoever's got the weapons runs the show. The SIS needs to know where those supplies are coming from. The Justicars control their own shipping dock, and I'm sure they keep records. I just need someone who can handle an ambush to get them.Barsen'thorStorming the docks might make the Justicars suspicious.Reid GandonIf there were another way, I'd be topside and long gone by now.MeteorWe will do it a hard way.Reid GandonGet those records to me as soon as you find them. You don't want to get waylaid by the Justicars. |

PausWhoa, look at you! You're perfect, just perfect! So, my name's Paus, right, and I'm a journalist. The only journalist down here who isn't afraid to dig up the truth! I'm on to something major with these Justicars. I'm gonna blow the lid on all their tyranny and oppression, and show all of Coruscant what they really are!VoidhoundI try not to argue with lunatics. If you say you're onto something, that's great.PausHey, if it's crazy to love freedom and hate totalitarian thugs like the Justicars, then yeah, I'm plenty crazy. I'm working on a major scoop. A clear-cut case of wrongful arrest, illegal imprisonment and unjust execution! Proof I need is just out of reach, though. I need a fearless hero to get that evidence. I need you!MeteorWhy us?PausBecause I can tell! You're brave, you're tough! Everything a hero of freedom and justice should be!Rikael Lysannis. Son of a wealthy family, arrested and executed without trial or explanation. He's the key to everything - the catalyst, the dirty little secret. Nobody's talking about Rikael's death. Not the Justicars, not his family, nobody. So I need the facts, straight from the source: the Justicar tower. And that's where you come in.Barsen'thorOdd. Why do you think the boy's parents won't speak on the matter?PausI'm sure the Justicars got to them - told them they were dead meat if they talked to anybody.Hero of TythonWe'll find out the true circumstances of this poor boy's death, Paus. Perhaps then, justice can be served.PausYeah! And not the Justicars' jack-booted justice, either - the real thing! And we've all got to cover the bills, right? I'll make it worth your while, don't worry.Interrogation droids. They're the key. Justicars use 'em all the time, and they record everything they see. Find the droid that recorded Rikael, smash it and yank the memory core. You can check the core on the Justicar computers, to make sure you've got the right one.MeteorIf innocent people are suffering, then something must be done.PausAll right, then. Soon as you've got the recording I need, bring it back here and we'll show Coruscant the truth about these Justicars! Good luck, buddy, good luck! |

Don't keep me in suspense!MeteorRikael's story didn't unfold quite the way you thought it did.PausWell, that doesn't sound too good. Let me see what you've got here. Oh no! Rikael, you snake! No wonder your parents won't talk about you, you little thug! Great. My whole story, shot to pieces. That little jerk was my best lead. Now I've got nothing to go on.VoidhoundEven if this lead didn't work out, you're still right about the Justicars.PausI won't let this keep me down. I'll find the proof. Are you any closer to finding the last Noetikon?Barsen'thorI've found it, and the Masters have told me how to find a cure. It's in the ruins of the Jedi Temple.Attros FinnA cure! At last. Just be warned - the ruins of the temple are crawling with danger. And getting there means passing through the Works; they're not safe either. What does he want?Mysterious SithIf my master wanted you to know his name, he'd give it to you himself.Barsen'thorNo one is going to stop me from saving Yuon Par, whoever you serve.Mysterious SithAaarrrgh! There. No more terminal. No more ritual. No miracle healing this time.Barsen'thorExcept for mine, you mean. My healing.Mysterious SithWhat good will that do you? The technique kills those who wield it.Barsen'thorFor the last time, tell me who your master is.Mysterious SithMy master is the Jedi Order's demise. Their lies, their pretense, their false serenity will be undone - as you would have been if you'd used the technique. How many could you have shielded before it killed you? One? Two? Even if it was a hundred, ultimately, you would collapse.Barsen'thorI guess I'll just have to find your master, then.Mysterious SithAnd do what? Kill him? That's not the Jedi way, now is it? The Jedi way is weak and cowardly. Even now, you talk rather than attack. |

Syo BakarnFinally - there you are. I've been kept apprised of your situation - the Council is very concerned about Yuon's health. We've been trying to contact you for hours. Did you find anything in the Jedi Temple?Barsen'thorThe only real cure is to stop the person who's behind the illness, but I can shield her temporarily.Syo BakarnThen do what you can for now. Our first priority is Yuon's life. Hurry back - Yuon is fading fast. Any delay could be costly. |
Dialog transcript |
Attros FinnOh, you're here! Quickly - we're barely detecting a pulse on Yuon. If there was any time to test what you learned in the temple, it's now.Barsen'thorThe Masters taught me well.Attros FinnYuon's life is in your hands now. |
Dialog transcript |
Yuon ParPadawan- no. No, I was making you a Jedi. What happened? I feel... so much better. But why do you look so weak? What did you do?Barsen'thorDon't worry about me, Yuon. I'm just glad you're okay. I shielded you from the person who was making you ill, but it took some of my strength.Yuon ParThank you, and... I'm sorry. The last thing I remember clearly is... your ceremony on Tython. Oh, my student, I am sorry I wasn't a better Master.Barsen'thorI wouldn't be the Jedi I am if it weren't for you. I wish you had told me about your condition sooner.Yuon ParThat honors me more than you know. I see now the foolishness of hiding it. Now I am... more myself.Qyzen FessYou are Yuon Par. Is no other you can be.Yuon ParI could feel someone else in my mind. Polluting my thoughts... twisting them.Barsen'thorThe plaguemaster. You won't be fully cured until he is defeated. Can you remember any specifics about this person?Yuon ParI really wish I could give you more details, but my memory of that time is... hazy at best.Attros FinnPardon me. The Council wishes to speak with you when you're ready.Yuon ParGo to the Council - we can speak later.Attros FinnThank you again for helping Yuon. And... teaching me a few things as well. |

Satele ShanAh, you're here. Thank you for contacting us so quickly. We're sorry to have to pull you away from Yuon.Jaric KaedanWe wouldn't have called you here if it wasn't urgent. First, tell us what you've learned about Yuon's illness.Barsen'thorIt's a plague created by a Sith named Terrak Morrhage. I've shielded Yuon from its effects, but the only cure is to stop the person who's controlling it. Here's what we know....Jaric KaedanInteresting. And... worrying. We've started to receive disturbing communications from other Masters. We fear Yuon's illness is not an isolated case.Barsen'thorAre you sure it's the same illness?Jaric KaedanWe admit the connection seemed tenuous - but the Masters each repeat the same phrase: "the darkness is coming."Barsen'thorThe illness was created by Terrak Morrhage, but a different Sith is using it now. I don't know his name, but I fought his apprentice in the temple.Syo BakarnYes. It's imperative that we find this Sith before the illness spreads further.Qyzen FessHunting one who struck Yuon down. Is noble goal, Herald.Syo BakarnUnfortunately, we have no leads. We can only hope that tracking down and shielding the victims will help lead us to this Sith.Barsen'thorYuon seemed to remember someone controlling her mind--but she couldn't give any details.Satele ShanThe small number of victims suggests that this Sith needs some sort of contact with his victims to control them. We hesitate to ask any more sacrifice of you - you've already done so much. But with the terminal in the temple destroyed, you are the only one capable of shielding the afflicted Masters and stopping this Sith, whoever he is.Barsen'thorI will do whatever I can.Satele ShanWe all have faith in you. But if the Sith who's controlling these Masters is drawing strength from them as well as turning them....Syo BakarnThen it is imperative that the Masters are freed from his control as quickly as possible.Jaric KaedanYou'll need to be able to move freely around the galaxy. To that end, we've prepared a ship for you in the spaceport.Barsen'thorThank you, Masters. I will use it well. Where am I going?Jaric KaedanThe missing Masters were last heard from on Taris and Nar Shaddaa. Find them, and break the plaguemaster's hold on them.Satele ShanSay your goodbyes to Yuon. But time is of the essence. Good luck. |
Dialog transcript |
Yuon ParAh, it's good to see you through my own eyes once more. What did the Council have to say?Barsen'thorOther Masters have fallen ill - the Council has asked me to save them.Yuon ParI see. But there is still someone we must find: the person behind this, whoever was in my mind.Barsen'thorAre you sure you don't remember anything specific about your tormentor?Yuon ParI have tried, but everything is hazy. Stop him, so that I don't have to be shielded anymore. So your strength can be restored. Remember. Let your instincts guide you. Keep to the Jedi Code. And may the Force be with you.Qyzen FessTrust, Yuon. Will be well. |

C2-N2 (Barsen'thor)My new master, at last. I am Seetoo Enntoo, steward of this vessel. It is my extreme good fortune to serve you.Barsen'thorGlad to have you aboard. Tell me your functions, Seetoo. I see you're programmed for protocol.C2-N2 (Barsen'thor)Diplomacy is merely my subfunction. As a Jedi, you bear considerable responsibility. I will relieve you of lesser burdens.C2-series droids represent the latest advances in everything from starship technical maintenance to nutritional advice tailored for your specific organic needs. Welcome aboard this Corellian Defender-class Light Corvette. It was custom-built to offer a Jedi both first-rate combat performance and meditation amenities. Along with the usual accommodations, you'll find a secure captain's locker for storing valuables. Your bridge contains an ever-updating map of the galaxy. It's quite beautiful to look at.Priority alerts from the Republic network are accessible at the HoloNet console. Long-range communications are available via the holoterminal. And finally, the ship's intercom will inform your crew that you wish to meet. Do you have any questions, master?Barsen'thorSounds like you're good at everything. Does that include combat?C2-N2 (Barsen'thor)As you can see, I am not equipped for physical danger. My function is to maintain this starship as your home away from home. I am happy to assist you with any non-hazardous task, of course. I pride myself on the utmost attention to detail.Barsen'thorWhat do you consider a "non-hazardous" task?C2-N2 (Barsen'thor)I am programmed to modify other technology. I can also perform long-range surveillance and diplomacy. I'm quite useful, I assure you.The ship is fueled and ready, master. Whenever you are ready to depart, consult the galaxy map on the bridge. The ship's computers will handle the rest. |

In-iKThe black bisector comes! Pleasing, as it is needed. I am In-iK, science unit. Please "talk up" if your comprehension white-shifts. I will use simple-happy language-words to help you understand.Barsen'thorWe do... appreciate anything you can do.In-iKIndubitably!VoidhoundWhat's with your language, anyway? I can barely understand you.In-iKThe Gree language-form is dissimilar to Basic language-form. Because Gree senses are unique red bisectors! Five Gree senses analyze forms. Three Gree senses soak color. So goes language. Other species miscommunicate our language-words.Coruscant power comes from the Works. Darkness comes from the Works. Coruscant-Senators, traders are blind. The power-darkness must stop.MeteorThe Works are where Coruscant's power is generated?In-iKThe Works is very low on Coruscant. There, Gree spawning generators breed electrons for machine-consumption. But enemy droid-machines intersect the power conduits and yellow-shift their functionality. Enemy droid-machines must stop, and conduits must be fixed.Hero of TythonWhy are the enemy droid-machines disrupting the power conduits?In-iKAll droids in the Works were damaged when the Empire attacked. Now they are corrupt. I monitor the power conduits, and know where to implement purple-shifting. As black bisector, you can "take out" many, many droid-machines. With information planted inside you, and our tool-sphere repair-mother in your many fingers, you can perform the fixing function! It is efficacious?VoidhoundSounds efficacious to me.In-iKExcellent-red tangents envelop us! You will do well, black bisector. |
Dialog transcript |
In-iKThe power-darkness is obsolete! The conduits are fully functional, and I have witnessed through our monitors. Also, you destroyed many enemy droid-machines, so well done!MeteorFinally finished.In-iKPlease remember Gree technology is exclusive to the enclave. Do not attempt to duplicate, or you will be absorbed into the gray pentachoron.Barsen'thorNo more blackouts?In-iKNow. Not eternally. In one millennium, if our interests intersect, we will ask for help again. |

Fez BurbaGreetings, humble citizens. I am Fez Burba, scientist-notary of the Republic and planetary consult to the Galactic Senate. My current project could alter history. If my theory proves correct, I will be the most famous scientist who ever lived. Consider this - we all know the Imperial bombardment of Coruscant wreaked havoc on the infrastructure. But what if it also damaged the planet's very core?MeteorWould there be a way to repair the damage?Perhaps, depending on the extent of it... but most likely, the planet would have to be evacuated.Hero of TythonGo on.Fez BurbaDamage to the core could cause geothermal instability, plate fragmentation - in short, level the whole city.VoidhoundThat's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.Fez BurbaI assure you, it's not impossible. The bombardment of Lexus Nine created a rift beneath the surface that caused unprecedented cataclysms. Everyone died.It is crucial that I get seismic readings from the lower levels. Specifically, from the Works sector. In the spirit of scientific inquiry and on behalf of the safety of the Republic, I need you to perform this critical mission. Prove my theory correct, and the Senate will grant me a substantial endowment for further research. I will give you a generous reward as compensation.Barsen'thorIf your theory's incorrect - what happens then?Fez BurbaI will still pay, of course, but your compensation will be significantly less. Budgetary constraints, you know. All that's required is that you take the Burba Seismic Activity Reader - my invention, of course - and use it in the Works. The reader is both accurate and user-friendly. The challenge will be in the journey, not in the science. |
Dialog transcript |
Fez BurbaWelcome back, my illustrious colleague. Tell me you've taken the seismic readings?MeteorWe managed the job.Fez BurbaFantastic. I tell you, we are going to make history together. Quickly. Please, let me examine the Burba Seismic Activity Reader....What? It can't be. This indicates there is no unusual seismic activity at all!VoidhoundIt seems your theory proved to be incorrect.Hero of TythonThis means the planet won't be destroyed, right?Fez BurbaYes... I mean, of course. I'm just surprised. It's atypical for one of my theories to be wrong. I just can't believe it. I haven't been wrong in so long.... This could reflect very poorly on my reputation. I suggest you take your compensation and keep quiet - I believe the reward is generous, given the outcome. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have much to consider. Farewell. |

OzuristHail to the glory of the apparatus! Welcome to the hallowed walkways of the great Works! I am Ozurist, the chief engineer. I serve the great machines, the true rulers of Coruscant.Barsen'thorIt's a pleasure to meet you, Ozurist.OzuristIt's always good to see another humble biological down here.MeteorYou're the engineer. Don't the machines serve you?OzuristNo. I am small. I am weak and organic. My lifespan is but a blip on the machines' sensors. These machines are the vital organs of the planet. Biologicals are merely parasites, totally dependent on the infinite energy of the great ones. But discord emerges among the exalted masters. The stationaries grant sustenance to the biologicals, but the mobiles long to destroy our kind.Barsen'thorEngines and droids don't want anything. They can't think.OzuristBiologicals ignore the reality. They will learn.MeteorWhat are "stationaries" and "mobiles"?OzuristThe stationaries are industrial behemoths. Creators. The mobiles - some call them "droids" - are workers. Understand this: One of the stationaries, Thermodraft, is in great pain. He is melting down, but the mobiles will not let me help him. When he dies, thousands of biologicals above will die with him. His energy will be unleashed.MeteorAre you talking about some sort of explosion? Radiation leak...?OzuristBoth. Thermodraft dies an angry death.Hero of TythonWill you do something?OzuristI could fix Thermodraft if I could get past the mobiles, but they're too powerful and they would kill me. You are only a mere biological, but perhaps you could help save Thermodraft. You'd have to release the control valves on his steel skeleton. Do this, and matters could be set right.MeteorLet's call this, "Operation Machine Rescue."OzuristThat seems fitting. Thermodraft lives farther down into the Works. You'll see him. He is astounding to behold. |
Dialog transcript |
OzuristI have been awaiting your return, biological. I feared for the fate of my lord. I heard his cries grow silent. Tell me that means you saved him - tell me the great Thermodraft lives on.Hero of TythonWe saved him.OzuristPraise the Maker. I don't know what I would have done if Thermodraft died. The machines have given me many amazing gifts. Take this one. May it serve you as you have served Thermodraft.Barsen'thorWe appreciate it.Hero of TythonI'm just glad the big guy's gonna be okay.OzuristI am, too. Did I tell you that Thermodraft is one of the originals? He is a legend. I must return to my duties now. The great machines need me, and I am proud to serve. Glory to you, biological, and glory to the great machines! |

BelkanThey... they're going to get it... please... you've got to stop them....MeteorWhat happened?BelkanWe were on a mission... on our way to the Jedi Temple.... We were ambushed... Imperial scum... you can't let them get it!MeteorGo on.BelkanWe were sent to get... astrogation charts.... top secret... general said... the charts are critical.... The Imperials know about them... a traitor... one of our own... sold us out.... they can't get those charts!Hero of TythonWere there any Sith with the Imperials?BelkanMaybe... I couldn't see... there were too many of them....MeteorWhere are those charts, soldier?BelkanThe old Jedi Temple... top level... in a sealed case, in the Council chambers... that's where the charts are....MeteorThen that's where we'll be going.BelkanThe charts... must take them to... General Wendin... Senate tower.... Do it... for the... Republic! |
Dialog transcript |
WendinLieutenant, get me Republic High Command! Captain, I want six squads prepped for a high-speed shuttle assault! Somebody get these blasted gawkers out of my way!VoidhoundGuess you don't want this old astrogation computer, huh?WendinWhat? What did you just say? Let me see that thing.... Well, I'll be hung with the Chancellor's shorts. You've got the astrogation computer from the Jedi Temple ruins! I was mobilizing half the Republic army to go after it. The squad's holocam recorded those scragging Imperials ambushing my men. They killed them all!MeteorYour squad fell in battle, but their mission was a success. We spoke with one of your men before he died.WendinKnowing them, his last thoughts were on the mission. They were good soldiers. They'll receive the highest honors for their sacrifice. You honored my squad by getting that device here and made me as happy as a bantha on the beach. Do you have any idea what that device is? What it can do?MeteorIt's an astrogation computer. That's the understatement of the decade. The computer contains secret hyperspace routes the Jedi shared with the Republic military decades ago. The Empire gets their hands on those hyperspace routes, and they could ambush every ship in our fleet.Hero of TythonYes, but the Empire failed. The Force was with us, General.WendinBeen a while since I heard those words. I've missed them.Barsen'thorThe Empire is not destined to win this war.Wendin I'll let you trust in destiny, Jedi. Personally, I prefer power armor and a good auto-cannon.VoidhoundThose hyperspace routes could come in handy for me.If you're looking for shortcuts through the Rimma trade lane, you'll be disappointed. These are military patrol routes, and they need to stay secret.MeteorYou can always count on Havoc Squad, General.WendinYou're the new leader of Havoc Squad? Blasted good to meet you, soldier!WendinYour efforts kept the Republic safe from the Empire - for that, you deserve more'n a clap on the shoulder. Haven't got a medal, so I guess credits will have to do. I can't make you rich, but I can do something.Hero of TythonKeep your reward. We did this for the Republic.WendinThen let the Republic do something for you in return. Go on, take the credits. I insist. |

Memnon DemartusThanks for the rescue. Come on, boys. This job's a bust. Didn't think anyone else was fool enough to wander this pile of rubble. Stupid move, trusting some prig Senator. Jedi Temple's abandoned, he says. No one to fight, only trouble's getting there. What do we find? Battle droids, Imperial commandos, Sith... we're lucky all they did was take our haul and lock us in here to die.Barsen'thorMany Jedi died here. Selling their belongings is disrespectful.Memnon DemartusNone of them tried to stop me. This stuff should go to someone who can use it.MeteorServes you right for stealing from the dead.Memnon DemartusI'm no grave robber. The Senator's got a rightful claim.MeteorDo you know what the Imperials are trying to do?Memnon DemartusBesides attack mercs on a legit job? No idea.Memnon DemartusSenator Starsnow's after a journal that belonged to his dead kid. Some bigwig Jedi, fell during the Sacking. Journal's all that's left of him. I feel for the Senator, and his credits, but those commandos have the journal now. They aren't going to spare us twice.Hero of TythonWe'll take on the commandos. The Senator should have his son's journal.Memnon DemartusWhatever you say, Master Jedi. But the kid's dead - that journal's not going to bring him back. We came in armed to the teeth. You think you can do better, be my guest. Senator Starsnow's waiting near the Senate tower. If you can get that journal back, he'll be expecting you. |
Dialog transcript |
Senator StarsnowWhatever it is, take it up with your local representative. I'm waiting for a very important delivery.Hero of TythonYour son's journal, Senator. There were Imperials in the temple, and your mercs were overwhelmed.Senator StarsnowImperials? In the Jedi Temple? No wonder the mercenaries never returned. The Empire couldn't be after family heirlooms. I must inform the Senate of this. Thank you, Master Jedi. It must have been difficult to enter those ruins, but you've eased a father's pain. This journal is all I have left of my boy. Thank you for finding it. |

JudinMaster Jedi, honored. Flight Commander Judin, Republic Navy. Afraid there's bad news from open space. The Imperial armada's attacking Republic assets in secret, goading us into violating the Treaty of Coruscant.Barsen'thorOne false move on our part, and the Republic will be blamed for igniting war.JudinYes, Master Jedi. But we'll never let them succeed. Fleet Admiral Numinn has authorized the formation of the Coruscant Aegis--an elite attack squadron meant to break the Imperial offensive, swiftly and quietly. If you're interested, I'd say you're more than qualified to join the squadron.Barsen'thorI would be honored to fly with the Coruscant Aegis.JudinExcellent, Master Jedi. Every pilot needs a call sign. I think "Guardian" suits you best. Every member of the Coruscant Aegis will strike independently across the galaxy. I'll upload your mission data to your ship. Silence the Imperial threat, and guard the Republic well. |

G-5KNAlert // Distress signal = intercepted // Urgent intervention = requiredAMILLE RAZNATo anyone receiving: this is Amille Razna, Republic Security team seven. We've been captured by the man we came to arrest: the Locust. This scumbag is a scavenger on a massive scale - his droids have scoured entire planets down to the crust. And Taris is next! We need armed assistance at these coordinates immediately. The Locust's ship must be disabled before he escapes and gathers his droids for full-scale operations. Please - hurry!G-5KNCoordinates = downloaded // You = hero // For the Republic! |
Dialog transcript |
Amille RaznaYou aren't guards! I wasn't even sure my message got out... this is perfect. We have to finish the mission. We have to capture the Locust - alive. We came here to capture the Locust - probably the galaxy's biggest scavenger. He uses a legion of droids to strip whole planets clean. Stopping the scumbag is important, but the real goal is to get control of those droids. "Advanced" doesn't even start to describe them. The Republic could repurpose those droids for something productive - maybe even use them to help here on Taris. But only if we can convince the Locust to hand over control.MeteorWhat do you have in mind?Amille RaznaWe'll make sure he's not in a position to refuse.VoidhoundSounds like wishful thinking.Amille RaznaThe Locust isn't a fool. Back him into a small enough corner, he'll cut a deal. Then everyone wins. Judging by the explosions, you've made sure the Locust won't be leaving us - all we have to do now is find him.Blast! All right, new plan: we make a diversion, you go for the Locust. He won't go down easy, but if anyone can take him, it's you.Hey! We're over here, you junk-eating sons of slugs! |
Dialog transcript |
Amille RaznaYou got him! Great work! The LocustNo. I do not die here. Not like this!Hero of TythonWe don't kill prisoners. Even a criminal like you deserves the chance to make amends. Drop the hostility and listen.Amille RaznaWe're here to arrest, not to execute. And if you're willing to cooperate, we can offer a lot more than just a jail cell. The Republic wants to put your droids to work developing new settlements, instead of tearing them down. Make it happen, and you'll get full profit sharing and a reduced sentence. The LocustThis "offer" is gilded chains. I am the Locust.VoidhoundYou could become a powerful and respected ally of the Republic, instead of a hated pirate.Amille RaznaBesides, we can protect you from the relatives of the people you enslaved.MeteorYou're a Republic prisoner, and we're making you a very reasonable offer. Do you understand? The LocustHa. Good to see honest dealings at last. Fine. Shall be your "ally." But to get my men under control... much time. Fighting may take long to stop.Hmm. Of all opponents, you fought hardest. I fail, but I remain strong.VoidhoundKeep saying that if it helps.Hero of TythonYou'd better keep your word.Amille RaznaTaris saved. A galaxy-wide threat ended for good. None of it would have been possible without you. I'll make sure the bounty on the Locust gets sent your way - plus a little extra from me and my team. We owe you our lives. Now, it's time we escorted our new "ally" back to civilization. Thanks again - take care. |

BardoHold a moment, please. Strom?StromScanning... ID confirmed. It's them.BardoGood to meet you, Lieutenant, Masters Jedi, Captain. We've got some... security concerns with the reconstruction project, and Governor Saresh hopes you and your teams can help.VoidhoundYou know, the military isn't the only place to find skilled, enterprising individuals....BardoThe governor is... aware of your reputation as well, Captain. She would actually welcome your assistance, if you're available. The governor is prepared to be very generous.Hero of TythonIf there's anything we can do to help protect your people, we'll do it.Barsen'thorBut you wouldn't need a Jedi's assistance for a simple security matter.StromYeah, I think you could say that. I wouldn't call this one "simple."MeteorIs Governor Saresh the official in charge here?StromYep. "Duly appointed Senatorial Supervisory Governor for Planetary Affairs," if you're feeling long-winded.BardoTaris is substantially more... hazardous than initial reports had suggested. The specifics aren't common knowledge offworld, but....Strom ...But we're trying to rebuild a planet covered with toxic junk and diseased, carnivorous monsters, and it ain't working.BardoAhem. Governor Saresh has plans to alleviate some of these issues, but they require highly skilled individuals to carry out. Individuals like you.VoidhoundHow does the governor plan on dealing with this, exactly?StromShe'll be happy to discuss the details with you in person. I'll let her know you'll be stopping by.StromJust hear her out - you can make a huge difference here.BardoThank you for your time! |

TrigI'm sure it would work if we had the manpower, but we don't. The numbers just aren't on our side.Leontyne SareshSuccess isn't in the numbers, Chief. We don't need more people - we need the right people.Hero of TythonSorry to interrupt. Excuse me, but we were told to meet with Governor Saresh?Leontyne SareshBardo and Strom found you after all, good. Thank you for coming - I'm Governor Saresh. Our goal on Taris is straightforward: rebuild everything the Sith destroyed, and remind the galaxy that the Republic never gives up. But resources are tight, and we have some serious challenges: toxic chemical spills, scavenging pirates and... the wildlife.TrigRakghouls. You've fought your share, I'm sure.Barsen'thorWhere do these creatures come from? How did they get here?TrigNo one's totally sure. They were here before the Sith bombardment, and their numbers have only grown since then.Leontyne SareshThe rakghouls use tunnels buried in the ruins to attack by surprise and overwhelm our soldiers. Every work crew we send out is decimated. We came here to achieve the greatest reconstruction project in Republic history. Instead, the workers hide in this outpost like frightened children. No more.MeteorWith respect, it sounds like your men have good reasons to be afraid.Leontyne SareshYou're right, of course. We have scientists working on locating the rakghouls' lairs. Until they do, we have to settle for the next best thing. Chief Trig has a plan....Trig ...A suicidal plan....Leontyne Saresh ...A bold plan to collapse the tunnels the rakghouls are using to ambush our people. I know you're up for the task.TrigOld ventilation shafts still connect a few hubs in the tunnel network to the surface. Drop explosives in enough of them, and the whole thing collapses.VoidhoundDon't you have soldiers here who could handle the job?Leontyne SareshLarge groups of soldiers attract too many rakghouls, just like the work crews. We need to keep this small.Barsen'thorHopefully, this will seal the rakghouls' warrens as well as their escape routes.TrigLet's hope we're so lucky.Leontyne SareshYou each have a reputation for handling extraordinary situations. Live up to that reputation. Help us transform Taris into the future of the Republic. |

Hull ...I don't care what your plan is! We're not sticking around to get eaten alive. Me and my crew are leaving - period.Leontyne SareshIf you want to abandon the work you agreed to do for the Republic, I can't stop you. But you aren't leaving. A six-month quarantine requirement has been put into effect. Anyone trying to leave without prior authorization is subject. You can sit in a medical bay and go broke, or you can help us accomplish something unprecedented. It's your choice.VoidhoundYou shouldn't be so harsh, Governor. These men aren't fighters.Leontyne SareshWe are what we choose to be.HullThis is insane! We're construction workers, we didn't sign up for this!Leontyne SareshI know you're going to make the right decision here, Hull. Come back when you do.Scouting parties are already reporting lower rakghoul populations. Most of our work crews are gearing up - we're finally gonna get this project moving.MeteorIs there something more we could do to help, Governor?Leontyne SareshNot at the moment - but I'm sure there will be. I'll have Bardo and Strom find you if anything comes up.My ancestors called Taris home, once. Thanks to you, millions of people might call it home again someday. Stay safe. And stay in touch. |

Relus PohWe've been waiting weeks! And those things are still swarming our property while you sorry excuses for defenders of the Republic sun yourself on the base.SakalThis is a military operation, sir. This planet hasn't been cleared for civilian occupancy.Jaymizu PohMy brother didn't mean to be insulting. But for three centuries, our family has dreamt of reclaiming our place on Taris. And now to be stopped by those things....Hero of TythonI couldn't help overhearing....SakalTheir old estate's off base, so we got no way to secure it.Relus PohTaris is our home. We're not going to wait until the army takes its pick of the planet and then throws us the scraps!SakalI got orders I got to follow. No civilian claims 'til the place is secure.MeteorTaris is a dangerous place. What are you doing here?Jaymizu PohOur ancestors escaped Taris before the bombardment. They kept everything - deeds, papers, we've even got holo-images of the estate. They always intended us to return.SakalWe can't go chasing civilian claims, justified or not. We've barely got the men to hold the base.Jaymizu PohThe Republic validated our records. But some outlaws set up a camp there - they've got security droids all around the perimeter.VoidhoundThis is an argument about three-hundred-year-old real estate?Relus PohNo. This is about a Republic citizen, whose home has been invaded by someone with an army of sec-droids, being ignored by the soldiers who should protect him! We almost got killed entering our own property!SakalThe Republic will respond to all such claims of hostile non-indigenous life-forms based on strategic value.VoidhoundAfter three hundred years, you can't blame someone for thinking it was up for grabs.Relus PohEach generation has passed down these deeds. We always knew we would return to Taris, that we were merely exiles.Jaymizu PohIf the Republic won't help us claim it, we're going to have to go back to Alderaan.Barsen'thorIt is wrong to risk lives for mere property.Jaymizu PohJedi, I know that you are just kids when you leave to train, but isn't there anywhere that you miss? A place, that you will always feel in your heart, is home?VoidhoundWhere does their property stand in the expansion plans?SakalPersonal land, sir. It'll be explored once all the public space is secured.Jaymizu PohThat's what they keep saying. That we can only claim it if we fight those awful droids ourselves. But how? Unless... could you help us?Hero of TythonYour claim seems just.SakalGreat. They're all yours, then. You find anything important, you can fill out a form at HQ.Relus PohAll we need is to get those blasted droids cleared out and find out who's controlling them. I can handle the rest.Jaymizu PohOur family was fortunate to escape the bombardment with their fortune intact. Help us reclaim what's ours, and you'll be well rewarded.Relus PohOf course we'll pay. But no droids. No... whatever's living there. Clear them out, I don't care how. |

AchitanHold. We have no more with which to defend ourselves. You have left us helpless before the rakghouls and everything that haunts this planet. My people are refugees, survivors of the battle on Coruscant. Would you turn us out of yet another home?VoidhoundWho are you?AchitanMy name is Achitan, and you might call me the leader of this colony. We fled here after the war. The lower levels were in shambles, thousands of people from thousands of species homeless and hurt. The humans in the Galactic Senate barely slapped on a new coat of paint. We came here to start a new life.Hero of TythonA horrific story.AchitanSo many men are here to reclaim this planet who know nothing of its past. Ancient Taris was a blight on the Republic, the black mark on its reputation for freedom. Humans on Taris did as they do on all planets. They seized the surface, claimed Taris's wealth and forced every other species underground. Every meter of land owned by a human was probably seized from another species, just as this was seized from my ancestors.Barsen'thorYou need somewhere to settle, I'm sure there's unclaimed land.AchitanThis is my land. My ancestors owned it for generations before the humans on Taris exiled them and all other species belowground. I have their documents, so old they were kept in printed form. Read them yourself if you doubt me.Barsen'thorEvery person should be judged on their own merit.AchitanThe Jedi Order has always understood that.Hero of TythonYour kind has contributed many Masters who are strong in the Force.AchitanWe connect to the Force through our ties to our homes.VoidhoundIf you have legal claim, why not bring it to the Republic?AchitanThey prefer not to admit Taris's ugly history. Still, we came to start over. I had hoped the new Taris would not be so quickly tainted by the old.MeteorWhat happened? There must have been a reason.AchitanIt was about money, of course. A human governor cut taxes to favor his people, and when others rebelled, they were the ones punished. I think the claim was "aliens are dangerous to Tarisian trade." If you have any sympathy for our cause, perhaps there is something you can do? We are alone and at the Republic's mercy.Hero of TythonWe would not wish to see you turned away from your home.AchitanI thank you for softening your heart to my story. I will tell my people to begin repairs on our droids. |

Relus PohExcellent job! We could smell the smoking metal corpses from here-Jaymizu PohI told him that's not really possible-Relus PohSo, who are the crooks who set themselves up on our property? Did you drive them off?MeteorWe took out the droids, but it won't be safe to live there.Relus PohWhat are you talking about?Jaymizu PohIs it the rakghouls, monsters...? I told you we should have waited until the planet was opened to settlers.Hero of TythonThe land is held by the alien who owns this deed. Her claim is better than yours.Relus PohNo! I am not just going to give up like this!Jaymizu PohWe've got no choice, Relus. We can't do this on our own. There are alien survivors who kept their claim? I'd have thought they would never want to come back here. I- I studied the history. It wasn't right.Relus PohIt was justified! You can't make us leave because of that.MeteorAfraid I can.Relus PohYou can't do this to us! Our family governed this planet. We owned it!Jaymizu PohIt's been a long time since that mattered, Relus.Barsen'thorYou should work together. It'll take more than two people to turn this place civilized.Jaymizu PohI agree, Relus. This isn't our ancestors' estate. This is a frontier. We'll need to grow food, sew clothes, defend ourselves. Wouldn't it be better to ally with these aliens?Relus PohSew clothes? Hmm... maybe we should just hear them out, see what they're looking for.Jaymizu PohWe won't turn them away. I know what it's like to want a home. |

SakalHey, good job. Both on the droids and getting to the bottom of that mess. Taris politics, huh, who cares about this dump anyway? Brass called me when you left. Wanted to see if your work's as good as your rep.MeteorIs there something else you want me to do?SakalWell, I doubt he's asking you over for a cup of mudleaf tea. Captain Childress calls, it usually means something needs fixing. He's got something for you to do, and he said to pass the word. If you're interested, go look him up. His office is at HQ, other side of the base. Tell them you're the one who ran off the brat brigade. |

Urana KielHey. You're not a refugee and you're not an aid worker. Why are you here?Hero of TythonI'm a Jedi, I go where I'm needed.Urana KielWell, we needed you a week ago. First the scavengers attacked us, then the local troops forced us out of our homes. Name's Urana, Urana Kiel. See, people with no reason to be here are usually thieves. But I'm not getting thief vibes from you. If you're looking for... well, anything, you won't find it here. Scavengers have our homes, and the army's fighting them. While one side's looting, the other's bombing. And we get to sit in a tent and hope.MeteorIt's better to move you here than leave you on a battlefield.Urana KielThey didn't have to drag us out in the middle of the night like they did. They could have let us grab a few things. My mom's in shock - barely leaves our tent.Barsen'thorAre you okay? It's not me I'm worried about. It's my brother, it's my mom who hasn't left her tent. So I'm trying to keep us together and stay honest. Some people around here... I'm not going to do what they do for credits. What else am I going to do? Got no job. No house. My mom's practically catatonic.Hero of TythonWe could check out your home, see if it's still standing.Urana KielSeriously? Well, if you could get back there, we left a lot of things behind-Fayem SchallHey! Did you say you're going to her house?Vidas KawatsSomeone's going to the settlement? Get me my landspeeder!Leisha VamdenMy farming droids are still out there! Oh, and my sonic washer. Hey! Bada! Get out here, someone's making a trip!Urana KielAll of you, back off! We do this one at a time, or nobody gets anything! This, uh... this could take a while. Are you still in?VoidhoundJust- everyone can't talk at once.Urana KielOkay. One at a time. You get one item - one portable item. Make it count.Leisha VamdenI want my digging tools. I don't know how long we'll be here, and if we're going to build or grow anything, we'll need them.Fayem SchallAll I hear all day is dumb boys fighting 'cause there's nothing to do. I've got a box with ten custom pazaak decks. Bring those.Vidas KawatsI got a micro-generator in my toolbox. Bring the toolbox and we can plug in everything electric.Semist BadaI've spent years working on a novel in my spare time. It's on datafile. I'm sure it won't have been stolen.Urana KielAnd what I need is our nadu seeds. Just a few packets would go a long way. It'd mean everything to my mother. Please... hurry. |
Dialog transcript |
Urana KielLeisha! Vidas! Everybody, they're backVidas KawatsIs everything okay? What did the scavengers take?Urana KielOkay, calm down, people. Let's deal with the possessions first so those who want to can leave.MeteorHopefully, this will help you start over.Leisha VamdenWe can only hope. Now... what do we have?Barsen'thorHere you are. No charge.Semist BadaThis is fabulous. Not a page lost.Vidas KawatsYeah. I can't wait to turn this on.Urana KielI have to show these to my mother. She's been so worried... be right back!Leisha VamdenI think what she meant to say was "thank you," but... she's a little giddy. Don't worry. None of us will forget your generosity. |

Ivan StahlY- you don't look like a pirate. You're not a pirate, are you? Please tell me you're not a pirate.Dana HuntDon't mind him. Pirates attacked our settlement and fed his family to the rakghouls. None of us have been the same, really. Perhaps- perhaps you can help us?Hero of TythonNobody should go through what this man has. Tell us what we can do.Ivan StahlFirst pirate that crosses my path... bang! Feed him to the rakghouls! See how he likes it!Dana HuntLook - maybe he's not all there, but all of us know how he feels. We built a settlement out here. We defended it from rakghouls. We started families. And those pirates attacked and took everything! It's hard not to want revenge, but mostly, we just need to move on. Start a new settlement, on a different part of the planet maybe.MeteorHow can we assist?Dana HuntWe had equipment at our camp that made Taris liveable, protected us from the rakghouls. If we can get that equipment back, we can start over. Maybe start to forget, and heal. Can you help?VoidhoundWe'll help. |
Dialog transcript |
Dana HuntOh, thank goodness you've got our equipment. I've got word of another group of settlers not far from here. We'll probably set up camp together.MeteorYou might want to set up in a safer place this time.Dana HuntWe'll take your advice to heart.Ivan StahlI smell blood - pirate blood. Stinky, gooey pirate blood.Dana HuntThe pirates are all dead, Ivan. Now we can leave. We can build a new settlement. Let's go. |

ChildressHey, there. Captain Childress. I want to thank you for taking the time to see me. You did nice work on that land claim mess. Like we flew this many troops to the armpit of the galaxy so some kids could play pioneer. It'll take way more than it's worth to make this planet livable. Only thing interesting about Taris is that it's the worst failure the Republic's ever had.MeteorThe destruction of Taris was a terrible loss.VoidhoundI don't know much about Taris's history.ChildressWay back when, the Sith were searching for a Jedi here. When they couldn't find her, they tried destroying the entire planet. The Jedi escaped, but millions of people died an ugly flaming death. The Empire tried the same thing on Coruscant in the last war. Three hundred years after Taris, we still don't know squat about how to defend against a bombardment once ships are in low orbit.VoidhoundI'm good, but not that good. I could take a battle cruiser or two, but I don't know if I can stop a whole bombardment.ChildressHa! We're not there yet. Right now, we're just trying to learn what we did wrong. That's why I'm here. Learn what we can so we don't repeat the mistakes.I sent commandos to defend a research team at the crash site of the Endar Spire - the last Republic warship shot down over this planet. If we're lucky, that ship recorded the whole bombardment. But my team's lost contact... which means there are desk jockeys in the wild with the most valuable data on Taris.MeteorWe'll go find the team. If they've still got coms, tell them help is on the way.ChildressThe crash site's a ways out. Fast as you can make it - I don't know if we've got survivors. Research team's your number two priority. Data's the most important thing. Take anything the Endar Spire recorded to Commander Viqui at the outpost. |

TeranosMove it! Secure the objectives! Every last warhead accounted for, and that scum Gorr taken down for good. That's some impressive work! We've got to get these back to base ASAP, but here's that bonus I promised. Thanks for lending a hand - you really saved the day on this one.MeteorGlad to help.TeranosAs long as we've got help from people like you, we might just get this place under control someday.Let's move out! |

CeraThank you for coming so fast! I told you the commander would send someone, Garthe!GartheThe commander didn't send them! You think they're from base? You ever seen a regulation group of soldiers look like that?CeraOkay, maybe. But that doesn't mean they can't help us. Please, sirs, have any of you ever faced a rakghoul?MeteorIs this a research station or something?CeraWe're a Republic archaeological salvage team. They call us the "corpse counters" because we're cataloging the bodies from the bombardment. It's important work-GartheIt's pointless work! People are dying out here so the Republic can have a list they'll never look at.CeraThese people deserve someone to acknowledge their deaths.GartheWe were in an old Czerka Works pipe this morning when those monsters came out of nowhere. They killed our guards and dragged down half a dozen of our team before we could do anything. We don't know if anyone's still alive, but if they are, every second counts.CeraThey might not be dead. We ran, we didn't see. Could you please... just check if anyone survived?GartheLet it go, Cera. They're dead already. Another few hours won't matter.Hero of TythonIf there is any chance your friends live, they deserve every effort to save them.CeraThank you. I'm honored that you would help us.MeteorDon't expect miracles. If your friends have been gone long, there's not much hope.GartheThat's what I've been saying. Rakghouls don't leave survivors. They just make more rakghouls.CeraSomeone could have hid... you never know!VoidhoundI wouldn't want to be the one left behind in a hole full of those things.CeraI wanted to go back for them-GartheDon't be ridiculous, Cera. Then we'd just be dead, too.Barsen'thorMight give it a shot.CeraThank you. It means a lot, knowing we're not abandoning them. We were in the Czerka Works pipeline. If you go soon, there may still be someone there.GartheNo. There's no hope for our friends now... but maybe you can make those monsters pay for what they did. |
Dialog transcript |
CeraYou're back! And... I don't see anyone with you. Did you...? A- are they...?GartheDead? What did you think? The rakghouls would buy them flowers and send them home?MeteorI'm sorry. Your friends are gone, but I made sure those rakghouls will never kill again.GartheCold comfort. There's probably another swarm already moving in. If you killed those freaks, I'll call it even. At least we can clear out the corpses without becoming one.VoidhoundActually, one of them left you a message, Garthe....CeraA message? Oh, that must be Elihsu. They were very close. I'll call the base and tell them what happened.GartheI'm putting in for a transfer. No job is worth this.VoidhoundI hear you've found a way to make it worth your while.GartheWha- what did you find? Was Elihsu alive? What did that lying coward say about me?Hero of TythonYou should have more respect for those murdered by the Sith.GartheThree hundred years ago! All the Sith involved are just as dead as them.Barsen'thorGreed's one thing, Garthe, but grave robbing's just low.GartheOkay, fine. So I'm sending some trinkets into the black market instead of Republic archives. So what?Barsen'thorElihsu says he knows how the dead feel now when you desecrate them.GartheI've given five years of my life to this rock! Now that's worth nothing because I laid claim to a few forgotten necklaces?GartheSo, fine. You found me out. Who cares?MeteorWe'll see if you think prisoners have as few rights as the dead.GartheVery funny.CeraThe commander's sending a team to retrieve the bodies. Thank you for doing what you could.MeteorAsk your partner what's been happening to the valuables you find.GartheOh, please. This is so humiliating. Yes, Elihsu and I were stealing some trinkets for the black market. The blasted dead don't cry over it, why should you?CeraHow could you! You told me those boxes were going to the Republic archive.CeraYeah, so I lied. What... you going to turn me in for that, too?CeraWe'll work this out later - we've asked enough of your time. Although... if you have a moment.... |

SynodaIt's amazing, isn't it? To stand at the site of such history? The fall of Taris has always cast a shadow over the Republic. So many millions of our people are descended from the refugees who fled its destruction. And we've carried its effects for far too long.VoidhoundDo we know you?SynodaI'm sorry. I am Doctor Synoda. I have made it my life's work to cure Colu's syndrome - a rare cancer that affects only the descendants of Tarisian refugees. But I have reached the limits of what I can do without the original settlers' medical records. I came here to access the systems in Taris's old general hospital, but I, ah, underestimated the dangers.Hero of TythonIt sounds like a worthy cause. Is there a way we can assist?SynodaMaster Jedi, I am honored by your interest. Please, go to the old hospital. I have the plans here - there are emergency generators that may still work. If you bring them up, you can download the old records. Bring them back, and you could save millions of people from a life of pain and early death. |
Dialog transcript |
MeteorThese are all the medical records we could find.SynodaThank you. I'm sure you have braved many higher-profile dangers, but you will never do anything more important. You have saved countless lives. One of them may well be mine. My ancestors fled Taris three hundred years ago, and my family still carries their curse. I thank you. |

Ianna CelAs you can see by the data, there is no disease in known space that propagates as quickly as the Tarisian rakghoul plague. Even one individual rakghoul can start a pandemic, as we have observed in eighty-one colonies to date. Until a vaccine can be widely distributed, it is highly doubtful that any civilian colonization effort will yield lasting results. Thank you.MeteorIf you're working on a vaccine, We'd like to help. I didn't know rakghouls had gotten so many colonies.Ianna Cel"Working on" is a generous term. The last breakthrough in rakghoul plague research was three centuries ago.Doctor Ianna Cel, but no one gets famous doing Tarisian rakghoul work. The last breakthrough was three centuries ago. HoloNet archives say a Doctor Forn developed a "rakghoul serum" vaccine just hours before the bombardment. I've been trying to acquire this serum, but short of putting a blaster to someone's head, that's not going to happen.Hero of TythonIf there's a cure out there, you'd be saving millions.Ianna CelDon't tempt me. There's a pirate camp not far from here. I heard they went after the ruins of Sepanik Memorial Hospital. Sepanik was well preserved. If there's rakghoul serum to be found, it'd be there. I asked Commander Viqui to step in, but since it wasn't a Republic hospital, the pirates have legal salvage rights.Barsen'thorWe'll see what they want in trade for this serum.MeteorCommander Viqui has her hands full. We'll handle the pirates. What is legal and what is right are often different. We'll pay them a visit.Ianna CelThat's... that's extremely brave of you. The Death's Claw pirate gang robs anything that talks and shoots anything that doesn't.Hero of TythonThis serum is worth a lot more lives than mine. We're in.Ianna CelBut please - be careful. This plague has made enough martyrs. I can't say what will be required to get this done, but this plague has infected half a planet's worth of people. So if that serum shows up on my lab table, it'd be unethical to throw it away for any reason. I hope my position is clear. |
Dialog transcript |
RyamnYou picked the wrong medbay to rob, vac-brain! There's gonna be two hundred Death's Claw pirates coming through that door!MeteorThere's not that many left. Trust me.RyamnWait, uh... wait, when I said you picked the wrong place to rob, I meant, uh, that we don't have a lot of money. You see these guys lying here? They've got the rakghoul plague. You touch me, and they'll be on you like Hutts on a buffet. Except, you know... faster. And don't think they're incapacitated. They just look that way. I've got a serum you wouldn't believe.Hero of TythonSo it works, does it? I'd heard you dug something up. I'm going to need it.RyamnYeah, we've been using it to... wait. No, you don't. You can't take it! These people are infected! If you cut off my supply of serum, these guys are going to turn. You know what that means? I'm going to have to shoot them all in the head before they try to eat my liver.Barsen'thorYou're a doctor, right? Synthesize some more.RyamnWith what? My state-of-the-art facilities? I can only use what I find, and we don't find much. The only place I can think of that might have some left is the ruins of Dynamet General. The place was basically ghoul town. The moment we got near, the rakghouls went berserk. It's one of their breeding grounds or something. You want serum, you get it there and leave us alone.VoidhoundWe'll look there... once.RyamnNo, the stuff is down there. I swear on my medical license. The real one. |
Dialog transcript |
Ianna CelWelcome back. Let's get those serum samples analyzed and see what we've got. Well, thank the Force for good Tarisian storage technology. I wasn't sure anything would still be viable after three centuries. While we wait... is there a cost to these samples I should be aware of? A deal with a pirate crew, perhaps?VoidhoundNothing worth mentioning.Ianna CelAh, here we are. Fortunately, the plague is so virulent, it cultures very rapidly. |

KarlsuLieutenant Karlsu. I'm all that's left of Commander Childress's fifth detail. Please tell me you're our reinforcements.MeteorYour hopes are answered.KarlsuGive me a moment. All's clear, guys. And we've got some muscle from back on base. This is what's left of our research team. The others got ambushed while working. Scavengers must have guessed we were after something good. We need to hold them off long enough for the research team to recover and download that data.RSL1You'll need to reactivate the generator subsystems as we go, so we can grab the data when we hit the main computer. We'll follow you.MeteorI'm on point. Researchers inside; anyone who's not working, fan out behind me.KarlsuAye, sir, aye. Okay. Data's priority one. Everyone into the ship. Go! |
Dialog transcript |
KarlsuIf you hadn't come when you did, those would be our smoking corpses there, no question. Unfortunately, we're not done, not until this wreck's data is in the hands of Commander Viqui.MeteorGive me what you have. I'll get it to the commander.KarlsuWe've recovered all the high-priority info. If you run that to the outpost, I'll hold off what's left of the scavengers until our reinforcements arrive.RSL1Please - get the data to Commander Viqui. It's the only way to be sure all of our work doesn't go to waste.KarlsuWell, I'd offer a salute, but that don't mean much to someone like you. Best way you can help is to take this datapad to Commander Viqui at the outpost.RSL1Thank you for protecting us. And good luck. |

ViquiIf you have any questions about military operations on- Wait- are you the ones who recovered the Endar Spire data?MeteorEverything from the primary computers is on here.ViquiThe data from the Endar Spire will be invaluable to the Republic's war efforts. Lieutenant Karlsu tells me there's close surveillance footage of the Imperial warships.MeteorHavoc Squad belongs to the Republic, sir.ViquiAnd the Republic is honored to have you. Thank you for your service. Republic intelligence has been waiting for this data since the bombardment fell. |

CeraDid you notice anything about the number of rakghouls in that pipe? I think it's more than most places, right?GartheOh, not that nonsense again....VoidhoundYou sound like there's something more on your mind.CeraOkay, this'll sound crazy - but there's more rakghouls at our grave sites than any of the Republic target zones.GartheThey're just drawn to the noise and the smell of flesh.CeraWe're not any noisier or... fleshier than a platoon of soldiers. I think they're protecting their ancestors.Hero of TythonAncestors?CeraI'm not saying they discuss it over tea, but I think something is driving them to defend these grave sites. They were human once, you know. The first ones, anyway. It's a disease that turned them into monsters. And we still don't understand how it works. All we know about rakghouls right now is they have a disease that can turn people into monsters, and they've taken over all of Taris. But if my theory is correct, it'll be our first insight into how they think. This could be a first step toward taking the planet back from them.MeteorUnderstanding your enemy is the key to defeating him.CeraExactly. Right now, rakghouls are like something out of a nightmare. We never know when or where they'll attack.Hero of TythonOnly if we look through their eyes can we understand what they see.CeraI kind of hope they're really the beasts they seem. Imagine if there's still a sentient person, trapped inside....VoidhoundCan you prove it?CeraThe salvage team can't get to the main bombardment sites...GartheYou're not sending them to the bombardment site, are you? That place is so thick with rakghouls you can see them from orbit!CeraDon't you interfere! We know what you think of the people of Taris. I'm right about this. Why else would they be so determined to guard the bombardment sites? Why so many rakghouls at the bombardment sites unless they're staying near their human ancestors?GartheI told you no one cares about your crackpot theories, Cera. Stick to counting bones. Let someone else do the science.CeraShut up and wait to be arrested.Really. I think I can prove it... If you could get samples from both the rakghouls and the skeletons at one of the main sites, we could see if they're related.MeteorDo you have details? What exactly are we talking about?CeraThere probably isn't a way to get a rakghoul to volunteer a genetic sample, so, um, I guess you'll be killing them. Then we'll compare their blood samples with genetic material from corpses in the same area.VoidhoundBy tomorrow, you should be able to answer this question once and for all.GartheThe bombardment site is chock-full of salvage no one's ever managed to get to-CeraYou never change, do you? Those are important archaeological artifacts, not some kind of... pirate treasure.GartheThis is ridiculous. Are you really going to take up more of their time with your crazy theories?CeraLet them decide if it's worth it. Please don't let Garthe discourage you. This is important. And I don't think there's anyone else on this planet willing to brave those rakghouls to find out. I'll be waiting to hear what you find. |
Dialog transcript |
CeraThe Republic sent a unit to retrieve our team's bodies. They said to thank you for your help.GartheYou're not going to ask if they went after your pet project?CeraWhy do you always try to ruin everything? Do Sullustan moms not hug their children or something? Um... did you get to the bombardment site? I don't see a scratch on you.VoidhoundThe rakghouls didn't want to give up their blood, but we convinced them.CeraI'm sure you can be quite... persuasive.GartheAw, is that hero worship I see there?CeraJust let me see the samples. I've got a portable scanner that can give us preliminary results right.... Now. That's amazing. There's over a fifty percent correlation. Genetic drift usually means a much less marked connection even in a normal population after so many years.MeteorWhat does that mean? They really are defending their ancestors, then?GartheIt means we just made one of the most important discoveries in Tarisian history.MeteorDoes that give us any insight into how to defeat them?CeraIf we know they defend a territory, then we know where to avoid... or even how to draw them out.GartheBut consider what you're saying! This means rakghouls have remnants of sentience. We can't kill them.Hero of TythonThey cling so desperately to their lost humanity.CeraIt could just be geography, remaining close to their initial infection site. We'll need a xenobiologist out to study this--GartheDon't just dismiss it now! This is an incredible find!CeraWhat? Where's the cynical disbelief?GartheYou can't dispute the numbers, Cera. You're right. This is amazing. If rakghouls have enough rationality to remember people and places that matter to them, we can't keep treating them like mindless animals.Barsen'thorIf they can think, maybe someday we can make peace with them.GartheExactly. We need to cancel our operations in these grave sites. We can't keep antagonizing them.CeraBut if we know they come to the defense of certain territories, we can bait them, draw them out so the Republic can send in troops to exterminate them.GartheNo! If they're sentient, we can't just keep murdering them.CeraI'll contact the Reconstruction Authority. Do you have an opinion on this?Barsen'thorIf there's any way to coexist peacefully with the rakghouls, we should take it.CeraI- I guess it's a virtue to forgive, right? At least this way, maybe we can avoid those kinds of attacks in the future. I'll give the Republic your recommendation. Thank you again for all your help. |

Ianna CelHmm. Bad news. The serum you recovered looks like it was effective three hundred years ago, but the rakghoul plague has mutated since then. This serum will only provide effective immunity for extraordinarily healthy individuals.VoidhoundNo one's going to take an unreliable vaccine.Ianna CelYes, but it gives us options. Right now I need what we call a "lucky survivor," whose system has antibodies to the modern plague.MeteorHow do we make it stop modern rakghouls?Ianna CelManufacturing a true vaccine requires what we call a "lucky survivor," someone whose system has made antibodies to the plague. We haven't had a survivor yet, for obvious reasons. But this serum might provide the link we need. If I infected an extraordinary individual protected by the serum, I could collect the antibodies and make an effective vaccine.VoidhoundUh-oh.Ianna CelI need someone with proven recuperative powers. Someone who gets injured almost on a daily basis. Ideally, they would have survived stabbings, shootings, poison, infections... maybe all of the above. Or, barring that, someone with conscious control over their bodily processes. Such as a Jedi.Hero of TythonI am well versed in that art. It should be safer for me than others.VoidhoundI've been shot more often than the family holocamera. This can't be much worse.Barsen'thorDoctor... We don't get a chance to save a billion lives every day. I'm in.Hero of TythonTo immunize every Tarisian for generations to come? To recolonize what the Sith destroyed? There is not one of us who wouldn't lay down our lives.Ianna CelI hoped to convince maybe one of you - but to see more than that is... I'm overwhelmed. Well... and I had this whole speech ready... all right. We have a medical droid, CB-08-4, set up to observe rakghouls in the field. He'll be able to collect the antibodies and slow any potential complications. After I give you the serum, go out there and test it. Let the rakghouls attack you and... see what happens.MeteorGet it over with. Inject us and let's get going.MeteorAre there any other medical facts I should know?Ianna CelUh... sure. You're doing the right thing. Now here's your serum injection.MeteorYou don't have this plague in a needle or something?Ianna CelIf it needs to work in the field, it needs to work in the field. Now, here's your serum injection. I hope the Force is with you, because the science is stretched to the limit. |

CB-08-4Ah, I see your infection is progressing. Hold still, I will take samples for analysis. While I transmit the data to Doctor Cel, there are some questions I should ask. Do you have any of the following symptoms: dizziness, fever, shortness of breath or an inexhaustible hunger for sentient flesh?VoidhoundCan you do anything about these cuts? I'm losing blood, here.CB-08-4I'm sorry, my core function is in analysis, not trauma care. Ah, here's Doctor Cel.Ianna CelGood news. Your antibody count is off the charts. I'll start work on a vaccine immediately. You are remarkably brave. Our progress has just jumped forward by years. While you recuperate, I'm going to transmit the usual secrecy agreements. Just use your thumbprint to sign on the sensor.MeteorWhat do you mean "usual" secrecy agreements?Ianna CelThis is standard procedure when the Republic develops biotech with significant earnings potential. We develop the vaccine for Republic soldiers first, and when it's proven, sell it to colonists. Until then, it's under wraps. We don't want the Exchange or the Sith funding some horrible operation with an underground version. The amount of money we're talking about is staggering. I could make a career out of a vaccine like this.Hero of TythonLives will be lost while this profit is being made.Ianna CelTell me something I don't know. Every week we hear another rakghoul horror story. But every colonist on the planet is going to want this vaccine. How do I tell my superiors we gave up that kind of money?Barsen'thorIf you get a sample to the Jedi, I bet they'd find someone to make it fast.Ianna CelI'll keep that in mind. We'll get this cure out one way or another.VoidhoundAn entire planet succumbed to this plague. Are you a doctor or a patent office?Ianna CelI'm a doctor. And this cure will get made, even if I have to build the manufacturing plant or hand-synthesize every macrophage....CB-08-4Well, I think she's angry. But from past experience, may I say that usually motivates her. If it means anything coming from a droid, congratulations on your research and also, your remarkable survival. |

Kahrin WekNormally, our fourth outpost comes here to pick up its supplies, but their convoy never arrived this month. I'm afraid something happened - they need to be found.MeteorJust tell us where to look.Kahrin WekYou've got to be the best friend these soldiers ever had. The route between the outposts runs along Lake Brell - not the best planning. There's rakghouls there and a nexu spawning ground, and worse. Usually the convoys manage by only traveling when the sun is highest. Plus lots and lots of firepower. But if they're out there too long... well, you need to find them.Hero of TythonEvery moment we delay risks their lives. We'll leave right now.Kahrin WekWhatever happened to the convoy, we need to make sure Morne Outpost gets their supplies. Sonic emitters along the route usually keep off the worst of the critters. But if they're on the fritz, that convoy would have walked into a feeding frenzy. Fix the emitters and see what you can find about the convoy. When you're done, report to Commander Yajak at Morne Outpost. And thank you. |

GilrohWe just stopped to rest! Geozel found a scratch, and we don't know if it's the rakghoul infection, so we're waiting. And Ferdoin might be coming down with Geonosian swamp flu, but we're on our way, I swear, and- You're looking at me very strangely.Hero of TythonAre you part of the Outpost Four supply convoy?GilrohUm, yes. Private Gilroh. I assumed you were looking for us.VoidhoundWhat are you expecting me to accuse you of?GilrohNothing! I mean, I know we're late, so people naturally start thinking....VoidhoundThinking what? That you were dead?GilrohWould they care? I'm sorry. I shouldn't- are you even Republic? I don't recognize....Barsen'thorWhat are you trying to say?GilrohNothing. There's nothing to tell. I mean- I'm Private Gilroh, Taris Outpost Four. I kind of assumed you were looking for our convoy. We, uh, just stopped to rest. Sorry to trouble everyone.MeteorYou're forty-eight hours late. Have you been here that whole time? Are you afraid of something? Is someone after you?GilrohWhat isn't after us on this awful planet? The nexu, the--the blasted rakghouls! Like I said, Ferdoin was hurt- I mean, Geozel, and- Oh, forget it. I was never a good liar. We aren't going back, is that what you want to hear? We've deserted. All I wanted was to serve the Republic, fight Imperials, see new parts of the galaxy. I never asked to be sentenced to this forsaken hole.Hero of TythonAre conditions so bad you would turn against your every oath of loyalty?GilrohI love the Republic, I do, but I've been here five years on a one-year tour. I've sent complaints, talked to psych counselors, nothing.Five years we've been out here, no break. Most of our friends have died. We're wounded, tired, broken. Fighting something that can't think, can't be frightened. And if you get the slightest scratch, you become the enemy and your own squad puts you down like a dog!MeteorHow could you do that? What kind of man abandons his comrades in the face of such an enemy?GilrohHa. We're not the only ones talking about running for it. We just got the first chance. You think we didn't agonize about that? If we were fighting the Sith... if our deaths would mean something... there's nothing on Taris!VoidhoundI know army life stinks, but don't they kill you or something if you desert?GilrohPrison on Coruscant - which is way better than being stuck here. At least your family can visit!Hero of TythonYou have given the Republic as much as it can reasonably demand.GilrohY- you're not going to turn us in?Hero of TythonYou'll never survive alone out here. You've been through enough.GilrohWe're heading back near the main base. There are scavengers with ships there. Maybe we can make it offworld. Please, tell Commander Yajak that you found our bodies. That way no one will ever come looking.Barsen'thorWe'll buy you a ticket home. Take this. It should be enough to buy a berth on a smuggler's ship.GilrohYou... I can't... I mean, we thought we might get a spot with one of the scavengers, but then we heard they kill strangers on sight. This- this would save my life. Maybe I can even get back in time to fix things with my girl. |

YajakRepublic Outpost Four, sovereign territory of the Galactic Republic. No unauthorized visitors. We will defend ourselves with deadly force if necessary. State your business!MeteorFirst lieutenant, Havoc Squad. Most recently of Ord Mantell.YajakThere's no unauthorized travel this far into the wilds; best policy's usually blast first, chat later. Don't suppose you were sent by Commander Gardit with news about our supplies?MeteorYour supplies are on the way, but no thanks to him.YajakSounds like there's a story there, but I won't waste your time asking for it. Let me just say "thanks."Our own convoy never reported back - wouldn't be the first time we lost one to the nexu. I was about to send another, but that means leaving the whole outpost understaffed and undefended. And the rakghouls have been real active this month. Don't suppose you saw any sign of our boys? If they're still alive, they better have a good excuse for leaving us hanging.Hero of TythonWe found their bodies along the route.YajakNo surprise. Ah, well, they'll be missed. I'll send their uniforms home to their kin. |

Reldar KandikRana Squadron's down. Every last one. I caught some flak, bailed out. Got a few durasteel splinters in my hide, but nothing that will keep me from making it back. But my wingmen, all proud Duros, ace pilots... they didn't make it. Shot down by those blasted pirates!MeteorWhat was your mission?Rana Squadron was sent to obliterate the old Taris Reclamation base. Previous occupants were killed by rakghouls and toxins, but their data's still intact. Our bombs were supposed to incinerate the intel, but the pirate scum beat us there, killed my squadron... my Duros brothers!MeteorThe Republic intel's compromised. We can't let the pirates sell it off.Reldar KandikCorrect, sir. If those records get out, the Empire could ruin our entire reconstruction plan. But if anyone can stop them, it's your team. The pirates will sell our entire Reclamation strategy to the highest bidder, crippling our reconstruction, unless you stop them first.MeteorWe'll disappear your intel.Reldar KandikRana Squadron thanks you. Recover our datalogs, force your way into the central command station and destroy our control droid. Brute force and thoroughness encouraged. After that, the pirate scum won't find a scrap of intel worth selling. |
Dialog transcript |
MeteorThe old Reclamation base data is wiped clean.Reldar KandikThen the mission's a success. Major Dejan will be pleased, not to mention the Reconstruction Authority. But no one will be as grateful as me. Consider yourselves honorary members of Rana Squadron. You've more than earned it. And once I'm back at base, I'll let the men's families know their last mission is complete. |

Reconstruction Ofiicer (holo)What do you think, Kon?Kon YelThe foundation of the Taris ChemWorks Factory cannot be repaired. I expect total collapse within two weeks. Once the building falls, the stored chemicals will flood this area. They are... highly toxic to humans. I am sorry.Reconstruction Ofiicer (holo)I'll make sure there are speeders on hand, but we can't just pack up and go. Do what you can.Kon YelAs always. I will pursue an alternative. Excuse my inattentiveness, masters - you are with the reconstruction effort? I advise you not to stay long.MeteorYou were talking about evacuation. What's going on?Kon YelMany of these ruins are unstable. A nearby structure used for chemical storage is on the verge of crumbling. As I was explaining to my colleague, there is only one way to remove the chemicals before they spill - a burnoff. A well-armed demolitions team could reach the structure and incinerate the chemical stockpiles. I can provide the incendiaries; unfortunately, no team is available.Hero of TythonWe're willing to try.Kon YelYour generosity is considerable. You should know, however: between the structural instability, the toxicity levels and the incendiary chemicals, the mission does carry substantial risk. It is nonetheless urgent. You are not a demolitions team - I fully recognize this. But if you could arrange the burnoff, I would humbly welcome your aid. |

WelkinsExcuse me, friends. The Republic told me you might be able to help with a difficult situation. They say you are our most reliable operatives on Taris. Have you heard anything about Titroxinate being sold on the black market?Hero of TythonIt's rare for Jedi to be consulted about the black market.WelkinsI suppose that's true. My apologies, Master Jedi.VoidhoundWhat makes you think we know anything about the black market? What are you implying?WelkinsN- nothing. Only your reputation... I thought maybe you would... it doesn't matter. I just thought... you might be able to help us keep it out of the wrong hands. Titroxinate was the pre-patent name for the weaponized agent we think was responsible for the rakghoul plague. The Empire could fashion it into a terrible weapon - turning our soldiers into monsters and setting them against us.MeteorWhere's the arms dealer who's selling this stuff?WelkinsrI'm more worried about his source.Barsen'thorSo, how do we stop that?WelkinsWe've traced the original Titroxinate samples to an old ChemWorks factory. It's overrun with nexu; we can't get near it. If you can retrieve any canisters that remain, the Republic will see you're well rewarded for your effort. |
Dialog transcript |
MeteorThese are all the canisters we were able to recover.WelkinsThank you. The Republic thanks you. Imagine how horrific it would be if this rakghoul nightmare had spread to the rest of the galaxy. |
Dialog transcript |
Kon YelI can smell chemicals on you. But I also smell fire and smoke. Did you complete the burnoff? All the toxins and pollutants have been incinerated?Barsen'thorAbsolutely.Kon YelNothing could please me more. Thank you. The structure will still collapse, but it shall leave no poison in its wake. Perhaps we can rebuild the area after all. |

GarditWelcome to Taris. I hear you've done the Republic a good turn in the past, so I'm sorry not to have a warmer welcome for you.Hero of TythonYou look worried.GarditUh, we're having some trouble, nothing you could have predicted, but... there you are. Our bases here are far from self-sufficient. We're not farmers, and there's no existing infrastructure here to work with.MeteorI can't believe the Republic sent you out here without sufficient supplies.GarditOh, we get supplies. Every month. Shipped in from Ord Mantell. Problem is, this month's ship went nose-down into some of the worst territory on Taris. It'll take another month before the next one arrives, and in the meantime, my men are stewing their gloves.VoidhoundSo, deal with it.GarditOh, we'll live. But you know soldiers - spend half their paychecks on pazaak, then wonder why they've got nothing left for a rainy day. Lot of discipline slips since the reduced rations went into effect, though. Almost let a rakghoul right through the perimeter. It'd be a great service to the Republic if you want to help us out...Barsen'thorNo one should be left to starve while serving the Republic.GarditThe Republic thanks you for your service. Every package you recover from the crash site means another week we can hold out at full strength. Our men tried to reach the ship once, but they turned back after taking serious casualties. They said it's more than just rakghouls, but couldn't make an ID. You still want to go, you'll need to talk to our quartermaster at the supply shed across the base. She's got the exact coordinates of the crash. |
Dialog transcript |
Kahrin WekAnd you're just going to make this all better, huh? I'm Kahrin Wek, quartermaster. Commander Gardit just called to say you're retrieving our supplies. For which, by the way, I and the rest of the troops here humbly thank you.Hero of TythonWant to calm down and point me to where your supply ship crashed?Kahrin WekOf course! You think I want to see everyone here starve? But I don't want Commander Fat-Pants to think it means he gets away with this. Steal from your troops, spend the Republic's money on vintage wine and silks from Alderaan, build your office out of Alderaanian timber, but it's fine, because there's a gang of big-hearted heroes around to save you.MeteorThat's a serious accusation.Kahrin WekThen let me be straight. Getting our supplies would be a great help, but pulling Commander Gardit from his position would be the best help of all. I said over and over that that ship needed repairs. The left stasis generator was loose, and the hyperdrive motivator was seeping fluid. But Gardit had already spent our allotted maintenance budget. On himself.MeteorCan you prove this?Kahrin WekEvery shipment has some personal item he's bringing in. And then some! But he simply slashed the rations budget in half and figures it's over. The men are starving. And starving men don't hold up well against creatures where one tiny scratch could lead to a base-wide epidemic.Barsen'thorYou have proof?Kahrin WekI'm telling the truth. Somehow he's juggling the numbers he sends to HQ. No commander needs a personal vehicle in an outpost this size. If you can take this holocamera out to the crash site, you could get the evidence I need to get him court-martialed.MeteorGive me the camera.Kahrin WekThank you. If you take holopics of the engines, I can show that the documented lack of repairs is what caused the crash. The most important thing is the supplies, though. The crash site isn't far. When you get everything, bring it back here so I can distribute it. |
Dialog transcript |
Kahrin WekWe don't have antibiotics. They come on the same ship as everything else.GarditYou're supposed to keep better tabs on that sort of thing. These men have the Csillian flu. They could die if- Ah, you've returned. And with all of you unhurt. Dare I ask if you've managed to recover our supplies?MeteorTell your men they're off rationing.GarditNot a moment too soon, Lieutenant. Let me tell you, you really saved my stripes on this one. The men came close to mutiny when I cut rations again. Hmph. They knew this wasn't going to be a luxury cruise.MeteorYour outpost won't starve now, no thanks to you.GarditNow you just watch yourself. I did everything in my power to-Kahrin WekWhat do you expect? You ask your men to starve while you eat bantha steaks from offworld?MeteorThese pictures prove you knew the ship was damaged, and you sent it anyway.Kahrin WekThey're going to Republic Command. Along with my documentation of every personal purchase you've made. These men left their families and risked their lives to come here. If they die, it should be for someone better than you.GarditI- I didn't know the ship was so bad. I thought, if it was serious, they'd catch it on Ord Mantell.MeteorThe men on Taris deserve a better leader.VoidhoundA good commander lives under the same conditions as his troops.GarditI never realized how quickly we go through our supplies. If I'd thought we couldn't last the month, I- I have some, uh, personal stores. I'll distribute them while you finish here. As a gesture of good faith.Kahrin WekI never thought I'd see anyone put the righteous fear into him like that. Good job, and thank you. But there may be something else, too. |

WintagAchoo! Excuse me. Something in the air... the spores, I think. Name's Wintag; I'm working on the Republic Tarisian Archival Database. We call it Rep-TAD. I'm assigned - achoo! - to explore the old city myself, but I'm, ah, not handling the change of atmospheres very well. I don't suppose you'd be up for a little job exploring the ruins? We're well funded, so I can pay you for your trouble.Hero of TythonJust let us know how we can be of service.WintagThank you. Your generosity is a refreshing change.I'm talking about finding the archive set up by Taris's own government to preserve their knowledge and culture in the event of disaster. I've been working on this for years, and I believe I've finally pinpointed the location of their archive. I've tried to approach the location before, but it is positively overrun with rakghouls. I couldn't get close. If you can get past them, let my assistant know how to arrange retrieval--her constitution is stronger than mine... achoo! |

QM-35This is a restricted area. There have been no security breaches for the past... one hundred and eleven thousand, three hundred and twenty-five days. Please show your credentials to enter.Hero of TythonHave you been guarding this place for three hundred years?QM-35That is correct.Barsen'thorIs this the Taris Archive?QM-35Yes. And be aware, while I am not programmed to fight, there are numerous automated defenses in place. My programming appears to contain a contradiction. I am instructed only to open this door to a member of the Tarisian government. But when the archive was brought online, all members of the ruling government were contained within. I have received no information on their successors.VoidhoundWhat do you mean they were "contained within"?QM-35This is the ruling government of Taris, as last appointed, plus representatives of every major science and industry.MeteorTaris was destroyed. This place has been a wasteland for three hundred years. There is no government.QM-35Ah, let me update my programs... my fall-through under that condition is to open only to representatives of the Galactic Republic. Is that you?Barsen'thorYes. I am a member of the Jedi Order and Galactic Republic.QM-35Excellent. Welcome to the Taris Archive. |
Dialog transcript |
Tiffan NyeI was told you might be coming. Was there anything in the archive?Hero of TythonApparently, the ancient Tarisian government thought the most important thing to preserve was... themselves.Tiffan NyeThemselves. What do you...? Do you mean literally? That's amazing! All this time, we've been working from old recordings and the occasional droid when the key to the whole planet's history is right here. I must notify the Republic. Thank you for braving the rakghouls to uncover this! |

SelroWait! Please, they've all gone silent! There's no time for me to call for help! We've lost contact with Project Quell, in the lower ground labs. It's, um, supposed to study those rakghoul creatures. They kept a whole pack of them there. The scientists wanted to study the rakghouls' behavior, try to find weaknesses we could use.MeteorSomeone approved this?SelroDoctor Zalaren was project lead. But he only took the job after checking all the security himself!Hero of TythonYou can't fight an opponent you don't understand.SelroBut what's to understand, Master Jedi? They're rakghouls. You shoot them.MeteorGive me numbers, Private. How big is this rakghoul pack?SelroI never saw them, sir, only those huge crates of food they brought in.VoidhoundSounds like an Imperial lab.SelroWait, what? No! Project Quell was just to watch the rakghouls, not do anything to them!I kept saying it was a bad idea! But I'm just a private, who cares what I think. All I know is, nobody's answering my check-ins. There was a power surge not long ago... maybe that opened the rakghoul pens. None of our scientists have come out. But if they reached the lab's panic room, they might still be alive. Please, you have to find them!MeteorDon't worry, we will.SelroHere - this code will arm Project Quell's security systems. If anyone's in the panic room, the defense droids will protect them. Just don't let your guard down. I don't know just what you'll find down there. Good luck. |
Dialog transcript |
ZalarenRescue? At last. Friendly face and weapons. After so many rakghouls, most welcome.MeteorYou're one of the scientists?ZalarenDoctor Zalaren, lead of Project Quell. Apology for such inconvenience. So unacceptable. Future, rakghouls will all have shock collars. Security systems active - excellent, most excellent. We go safely. Much is owed for this. |

SelroI just heard from Doctor Zalaren. Between the panic room and your help, I think almost everyone got out okay. Thanks again. And don't worry, we're building power surge defenses in right this minute. |

Hacken BergeWould you like a chance to be part of one of the great mysteries of the Republic's past? We have irrefutable proof that Revan once sheltered here, soon after returning to the Republic from the Sith. There are many tales of how Revan rescued Bastila Shan and changed galactic history, but there were smaller lives touched as well.I am Hacken Berge, historian from the Galactic Library on Coruscant. I am undertaking one of the most important historical research projects of our lifetime.Three hundred years ago, Revan was the great Jedi general of the Mandalorian Wars. He turned to the dark side but was brought back to the light by Master Bastila Shan. The outcasts of Taris lived deep below the city, where the rakghoul plague originated. Revan's journals record bringing them a cure for the plague and leading them to a secure colony called "the Promised Land." Yet we don't know if they survived.Barsen'thorAre you asking us to look for a lost colony from three hundred years ago?Hacken BergeOr any sign of what became of them. What killed them? And what might that teach us about Taris? If you are braving the wilderness anyway, keep your eyes open. My assistant is coordinating excavations. Anything you find, bring to him. Perhaps these Promised Ones left some record - something to talk to us across the ages. |
